Chapter 65 - 65

"I am just saying. At least then we wont be alone. We will have two little munchkins to entertain us," said Amalie as she knelt down as well and the two moved back and forth in the child's pose for thirty seconds.

"Shh no talking. I need to fill the flow of energy in my body," said Quinn and Amalie laughed softly.

The two of them kept silent for a while going into the up ward facing dog and the downward facing dog.

It was when she was moving from the warrior two pose that she felt her mother had stopped following along. Quinn moved into the downward facing dog and asked, "What? Are you already tired grandma?" referring to earlier statement about Quinn getting kids.

"If you can't then keep up then how are you going to keep up with twins-," she said only to shut up abruptly. That's becaus Leif was standing behind her staring at her with an unreadable expression.

Quinn was looking at him from in between her legs that were spread apart. Amalie who had noticed him earlier couldn't help but chuckle as she moved out of the frame of the camera.

Quinn's eyes widened when she recalled the kind of pose she was in. He butt was hanging up in the air in Leif's direction which was very inappropriate considering their boss and employee relationship.

She fell back down the mat and picked up her cell phone. "Mum I will call you back," she said before cutting the call. She didnt even wait for her to reply.

"Why are you...," she said rubbing the back of her neck before continuing, "why are you here?"

Leif almost sneered but he resist the urge as he answered, "This is my house."

Quinn who had been misunderstood laughed softly as she said, "Yes, I am well aware. What I meant was why are you back so early?"

Leif couldn't answer that question truthfully. He couldn't tell her that he left early because he was afraid she would be upset about Alison or that he just suddenly had the urge to come home.

"I left something in my study so I decided to the rest of my work at home," he said and Quinn nodded her head in understanding.

"Are you hungry? Because I haven't made any food yet," she said and Leif shook his head,

"I am not. You can continue with whatever you were doing."

Quinn tugged the string of her sports bra and answered, "Okay," but Leif didnt leave. She turned back to him and asked, "Are you just going to stand there and watch?"

Leif seemed hesitant to ask something but he still said, "What are is that exercise?"

Forgive him for not being well versed when it came to anything other than running a business and weapons manufactory. Everything else was useless to him. The only exercise he did was running on the treadmill, lifting weights and push ups. That was about it.

"Oh, its yoga," answered Quinn surprised that he didnt know this. But she could also understand why he wouldn't know. That's because one didnt have any woman in his life that not say men don't do yoga. Even if they did he was surrounded by buff men who did intense training and steered clear of low impact exercise.

"Do you want to try it... you know some time," she said and Leif nodded his head.

Leif wanted to say he could try it now but when he heard her say sometime he pursed his lips and said, "Next time. Carry on," before leaving. After he left Quinn stood still watching his departing back. He couldn't believe that this man was the same man  rumoured to be ruthless and heartless. The way he was curious just now spoke volumes. He was like an Alaskan Klee Kai curious about everything. When she recalled how curious he was about that sleazy lingerie, Quinn couldn't help but chuckle softly as he she called her mother again.

Amalie who wasn't expecting her to call so soon was already holding a fresh croissant in her mouth.

When Quinn saw it she reprimanded her, "No no no put it down. You said you wanted to do yoga then lets do yoga. You can't eat yet."

Amalie took out the croissant on her mouth seeming very aggrieved. "I swear I thought you two were going to you know... get some. The way he was staring at you just now was so intense almost cut the video call immediately. Ah QQ, it's not good to starve your man," said Amalie telling her honest truth. That look was like that of a wolf looking at his prey and judging which method was the best to attack.

At least that what it looked like in Amalie's eyes.

"You misunderstood. I think you eyes need to be checked. You are seeing this that aren't there," replied Quinn. How could not understand what type of person Leif was. He was grossed out by a kiss not even on the mouth but on the cheek what more sex? That man was disgusted by anything intimate thus the look she was talking about might have been a look of unhappiness. Who could blame him when she was unintentionally flaunting her assets in his face.

"I am telling you what I saw and yes, I have been taking my meds. I am not hallucinating anything," she said and Quinn didn't want to argue with her.

"Okay mum. I get believe you. Do you still want to continue?" she asked and started the timer on her smart watch.

"Okay," answered Amalie while put away her croissant.

Meanwhile, Leif went upstairs with his briefcase and while passing by the guest bedroom he casually took a glance into Quinn's room and saw a white fluffy plushy that was worn out. Everything in the room was new but the fluff ball the looked like it had seen a hundred wars.

He took a step forward and couldn't but he paused his steps unable to recall if Quinn ever banned him from her room. Thinking there was no such thing she walked in and grabbed hold of the little lamp the look in his eyes complicated.
