LAST TIME:
"I have a few hunters I can think of that can help. It will depend heavily on if they will be with a hunt or not. Well thanksgiving is coming up here soon so all the hunters will be gathered in one place, I can go over it with them and see if they are willing to help. Let me tell you Hestia loves to cook us all a big family meal, so you should join us." Artemis said with a small smile as Sally got a nervous face.
"But wouldn't they dislike me after I… shot you?" Sally asked as Artemis laughed.
"Are you kidding me? Those girls would love to know the mortal warrior woman who was a navy seal who managed to land 5 consecutive shots on me with a pump action shotgun in less than 6 seconds. Two of which hit inches apart from one another, Though a few might be feisty I will work with them. Also this will heal in one more week so don't worry." Artemis said, waving her off as Sally suddenly started to reconsider this whole plan.
Just then a running sound was heard as everyone turned to see a snow covered Percy burst through the door. His face was filled with worry and wonder as he ran up to Sally.
"Mommy! There is a lady in my head who called me a stud muffin!"
NOW: A little bit before the stud muffin was born
CHAOS POV:
I could only smile as I watched Percy play in the snow, I was so happy to see him play again and show emotions. Meeting with those two hunters was a blessing in itself that helped Percy break what was holding him back. I sobbed along with Percy in happiness when he was finally able to speak again, Plus he seemed to make a new friend. It had always been tough for Percy to make friends with him being different, but this young Daughter of Apollo seemed to be a decent fit for a friend.
Although this Zoë girl, Percy seemed a little more than curious about her when they crossed eyes and they just stared at each other. I will have to keep an eye on her, though Order told me I am over thinking things. Let's call it a mothers intuition, I believe Percy may have developed his first crush, but I quickly hid the thought for my late night thinking, I still celebrated the moment though.
After what happened with that psychopath Gabe and Percy shutting down, I just kept watching him as each second broke my heart into more and more pieces. Even Sally seemed to break a bit over what happened, but she was strong and held herself together for the most part and focused on Percy. Such a selfless and mother nature was like that of Rhea. Thankfully I managed to send Tartarus a message and he said he would take special 'care' of Gabe.
However, looking back at the night during Sally's escape I was truly surprised not only by Sally's skill with a gun, which I had not expected, but also by Artemis' decision to let them go, if what happened was part of a drama show I'm sure fans would lose their minds. Still I was surprised to say the least, sure she said that she was doing it for a favor in the end but I knew otherwise.
Artemis actually seemed to have solid morals, though they were not like mortal morals they were still commendable. Judging a demigod by their deeds and not their origin, very few gods would actually say such a thing. Still taking in her past makes it even more commendable for her to do such a thing. Not to mention her even offering more help when she met with Sally. With her hunters no less!
This goddess was unpredictable like her domains over the moon, tides, and nature. All full of their own mystery along with her personality they seemed to allow her to make the judgment to help Sally and Percy even after being injured by Sally. Still I was extremely thankful for her help in all this, not to mention Hestia.
The eldest Olympian and the first to be consumed by her father. She held more secrets than most gods even knew existed. Her temperament was also like that of her mother Rhea, good natured, caring, and understanding. Wishing to not be caught in any conflict but a mediator of it in time, she tended to the Hearth of Olympus on her own. Even she seemed to be playing a part in this.
Her preparation planning worked so well that it was like a scheme of Athena herself! This goddess was smart and cunning underneath her warm and fluffy exterior, but it was only for the good of people. It appears that I have to thank another goddess for helping Sally and Percy. Yet it seemed both goddesses honestly wished to help Percy or the young demigod they like to call him. I will still keep my eyes on them just in case.
"It seems like his training is being taken care of nicely." Order mentioned as I slowly nodded. I just pulled the blanket covering me a bit tighter around me.
"True, but once his powers actually develop I worry for him. I don't know what type of powers he will develop. Between him being my blood child and you and Poseidon adopting him I don't know which power will develop first. I just hope it is something easy so as to not discourage him. With the seal Eros placed on him I don't know which one will pop up." I said with a sigh.
"Well from what I've heard from Eros the only time combat ones will bypass the seal is if his life is in danger or when he is strong enough to control them. As of right now only non combat ones will show up." He said as I nodded.
"There are still several hundred of those at the minimum." I said as Order slowly nodded.
"Well let us hope for the best." He said as I turned my attention back to Percy and smiled.
"Oh goodness, you are gonna be such a stud muffin when you grow up." I said with a smile, I just wanted to pinch his cheeks and say it to him Personally. This boy of mine was gonna break so many hearts in the future, but then suddenly Percy paused and looked around catching both me and Orders attention.
"Hello?" He called out but found nobody.
"What does stud muffin mean?" He asked himself as my heart skipped several beats and Order seemed to fall from this leaning position but managed to catch himself. Both of us just looked at one another in complete shock as we both held the same thought.
It was Astral communication. It was something that could be used by Me and Order to transmit messages over extremely long distances. As if I was right there speaking next to him, no other communication did such a thing. All the others would be delayed by a few minutes at the minimum. Receiving messages also required you to have Astral communication as well but required no energy at all to receive them, but sending was a different story. The longer the distance the more energy it took. It seemed I unknowingly used it when I said my last sentence towards Percy.
"Stud muffin, can you hear me?" I asked again, directing my voice at Percy like I had done millions of times in the past with no luck. However this time it seemed to stick.
"Who is there!" He shouted in a slight panic looking around confused as I felt tears well up in my eyes. Order also had tears well up in his eyes as we both realized what was happening.
'Chaos… it seems destiny is playing in our favor.' Order mentally messaged me as more tears fell down from my face. I could finally tell my baby boy I loved him through my own words, I could hold a conversation with him, I could do so much more now. First I needed to calm down my quickly panicking child.
LINEBREAK:
THIRD PERSON POV:
"So my little stud muffin." Sally said as Percy blushed a little at the embarrassing name while Hestia giggled a bit and Artemis' lip was twitching as she tried to keep a smile down.
"Who is the lady?" Asked Sally as Percy stayed silent for a moment.
"She says she is my mommy, but she says her name is special and can't say it unless oaths are sworn to keep her a secret." Percy said as all the ladies looked at one another. Sally herself froze for a second as she felt millions of questions she had pushed down come to the surface.
"I mean… It makes sense." Hestia added as she and Artemis gave a nod.
"What do you mean?" Asked Sally as the two goddesses looked towards her.
"Sometimes goddesses have children they want to hide, so oaths are made to conceal their identity for a time, or until they are ready to be revealed to the world. I have several oaths with certain goddesses and gods about their daughters identity in my hunt." Artemis said as Sally nodded. Sometimes gods were private, or needed to protect their children. Like Poseidon and Percy.
"She says the Styx oath wont work, you need to swear on your name and domains." Percy suddenly said as Artemis and Hestia frowned. He just looked around confused by the conversation that was being held around him. Goddesses, Gods, and other magical things that he thought were only stories.
"Okay I will." Hestia said after a minute as Artemis looked at her surprised.
"Aunt, but the risks." She said as Hestia gave her a smile and shook her head.
"I am one who can hold secrets very well, my only requirement is that if she does reveal herself in the future that our oath be null and we be freed from it." She said as Artemis got a thinking face on again.
"She said that is fine." Percy said as Hestia's smile brightened now Sally and Hestia were staring at Artemis' face scrunched up in deep thought. She just kept peeking at the two women whose stares were like drills, going right through her defense. Finally she sighed and nodded.
"Fine, fine, but I also have a requirement. If Percy himself shares the information with others then I can speak with them about it and if he goes public with the info the oath is null as well." She said thinking of her hunters who were some of the worst gossipers when it came to talking to other hunters.
"She said that is fine and to take the oath." Percy said as both goddesses quickly swore on their names and domains. As they did, a small glow appeared around each goddess. Hestia's was orange and comforting like a warm flame while Artemis' was silver like the glow of the moon. After each goddess was done Sally seemed a bit panicked.
"W-What about me? Do I need to swear and oath?" Sally asked while Percy shook his head as both goddesses gaped at him.
"She says you don't have to since you only have the best intentions for me." He said as Sally smiled while both goddesses were stunned.
"W-Why did we have to then?" Hestia asked as Percy seemed to be in though and pointed at her.
"Scheming and full of secrets." He said as Hestia looked like she was shot by the word and deflated a little as Sally and Artemis laughed at the sight. Then his finger turned to Artemis as she froze up.
"Emotions that change like the tide." He said as Artemis' face scrunched up in anger and frustration as Hestia burst out laughing as Sally joined her.
"So baby what is her name?" Sally asked as Percy after catching her breath.
"She says her name is Chaos." He said as the two goddess froze and seemed to grow 3 shades whiter. Their once beautifully tanned skin now sickly as they seemed to shake a little, not daring to move as their minds seemed to go into overdrive.
"Oh such an interesting name." Sally said with no change of attitude, completely unaware of who Chaos was.
"She said thank you." Percy said with a smile as Sally did the same as the two goddess stayed silent.
"So can she explain why she is in your head?" Sally asked him as he nodded.
"She says it is a power of mine. Wait, I have powers! Will I be like superman!" Percy jumped up as his eyes shined as Sally just stayed silent. She never told him his origins so this was bound to be a long conversation.
"Yes you are a demigod." She said as he looked confused.
"What does that mean?" He asked her as Sally gave a light sigh, glancing at the two goddesses who seemed to be recovering.
"Are you two okay?" She asked as Hestia slowly nodded but then shook her head.
"W-We need a minute or two." She said as she closed her eyes with a large sigh and put her hands on her face, seeming to think as much as she could. Artemis on the other hand already put her head in her hands that rested on her knees. Seeing the two goddesses in that state Sally grew confused.
"Percy, it means your real mom is a goddess." Sally said but Percy just stared at her for a second.
"You're my real mommy though." He said as tears welled up in her eyes as she leaned forward and hugged Percy and cried a bit as she held him and kissed his forehead. Percy, seeming to be caught in her emotions also began to sniff a bit and grow sad.
'She is your real mommy Percy, but so am I.' Suddenly Sally heard a woman's voice in her head as she froze as tears ran down her face.
"Mommy?" He asked
"Yes?"
'Yes?'
Percy seemed to go through a bout of confusion after hearing both replies at the same time. The whole room was just filled to the brim with confusion with two goddesses seeming to have a life crisis and Sally who was now also hearing the voice and now Percy who had many questions and was hearing double.
"Hello?" Sally suddenly said while still holding onto Percy.
'...Sally?' Chaos said suddenly just as shocked as Sally was, apparently Percy developed a new power very quickly. Hearing the voice Sally sat silently with Percy in her as he looked up at her with curiosity. Questions flooding her mind.
"I have so many questions, but right now Percy comes first. Let's straighten things out first then we can talk." Sally said with a deep breath and looked down at Percy with a smile.
"Percy, my little baby boy. I am not your birth mother Chaos is, but that doesn't make me not your mother. I raised you from a newborn to who you are now. I guess you could say you have two mothers." Sally said as Percy seemed to think.
"She is also a goddess. I don't know what her domains are but she is a goddess, a being of power and magic. You carry her blood which makes you a demigod, a person born of a human and god. At least I presume that it was human." Sally said.
'It was a human, a human with the blood of Poseidon to be exact. Technically it was a long time ago. He is no longer alive as far as I am aware. Also I did not… do it with him, just so you know. You should know that Percy was also adopted by my brother Order as well as Poseidon.' Chaos said for only Sally to hear with a slight blush on her face as Sally was filled with surprise, the fates loved their coincidences didn't they.
"So who is my daddy?" Asked Percy as Sally sighed.
"His name is Poseidon, god of the sea. He used his powers to make you a true child of his when we adopted you. Also Chaos says Order adopted you as well as a true child as well." Sally said, giving Percy some time to think.
'I have also watched you Percy, everyday or your life I've watched you. I've seen your ups and downs. I've seen you grow up in Sally's arms, each day I felt buried in sadness that I couldn't be there. I am sorry baby but I had to hide you, or else you wouldn't be here today.' Chaos said with tears running down her face as Sally teared up a little as well.
Thankfully Percy seemed to understand a bit as well as he sniffed a little as he grew full of emotion.
"So I have two mommies and two daddies?" Percy asked as Sally nodded.
"That's so cool!" Percy yelled as Sally and Chaos were at a loss for words.
"Now I can brag about both my mommies! One a goddess and one the best mommy ever!" He stood proudly as Sally teared up once again. Though she was sure that Percy needed time to get used to Chaos and actually see her as her mother it was a step forward.
"I haven't met daddies yet so I can't brag about them." He said suddenly causing Sally to cough a little, if Poseidon and Order heard that they would weep in frustration.
'For now though I think we need to get these two straightened out.' Chaos said as Sally and Percy looked towards the still stunned Hestia and Artemis.
LINEBREAK: December 2000 Percy is 7 years old
PERCY POV:
"Run faster boy, you have 4 more laps before you call it quits and then head to class. If you fail you will go and run in the snow!" Said Phoebe as she stood beside a track watching me make my 46th lap. Currently I was inside the hunters main camp. It was set up with multiple cabins all decorated with a moon on each front. Here there was no discrimination between what god or goddess you were from.
In the center of the ring of cabins was a large hearth used for large gatherings and meetings for all the demigoddesses. Currently I was in the training field that was situated right beside the hunters fighting arena.
"Come on Percy just a few more." Said Sally with a brilliant smile on her face, but the fact she passed me and continued her 70th something lap while just minimally sweating was a sad sight. She helped me with all my training and actually did it alongside me with ease, claiming she was just using it to get back into the swing of things.
"Miss. Jackson, you know you don't have to encourage him all the time. Makes him soft." Phoebe said as Sally stopped by her but just kept jogging in place and gave her a look as Phoebe glanced away.
"Yes Miss. Jackson I know." Phoebe said as Sally smiled and kept running as Phoebe sighed. I just looked at the scene with a smirk. Sally had more or less suppressed the hunters who were being mean to me into submission, though sometimes she let it happen. Said it built character, but the funniest thing was sometimes you would even catch some hunters calling her mom on accident.
'She is more and more like Rhea each time I see her.' I heard my other mom Chaos say as I couldn't help but agree. After the day I discovered I was a demigod, no a demi-primordial. I learned a lot of things thanks to the classes the hunters and Hestia gave me, along with basic information that school would give me. Most of it was about Greek gods and their ever so messy family tree.
"Percy!" I heard a scream as I turned my head and saw a quickly approaching Tracy as I smiled.
"Look what I discovered!" She said quickly joining my running pace with ease with a smile on her face. Phoebe slapped her face as my training was being interrupted for the 5th time this week by her.
"What is it this time?" I asked in a slightly discouraged voice as she gave an Apollo worthy smile.
"Check it." She said as she moved her hands and her face began to focus as she ran. Soon light began to condense and in the next second a dancing musical note with arms and legs was in her hands. She just gave me a million watt smile as I stared at the magical thing in her hands and sighed in a defeated tone.
'This girl is truly a genius, over the course of 1 year I don't think I have ever seen a demigod ever develop their powers so well. You could learn a few things from her.' Chaos said as I mentally groaned.
"At this rate I think Tracy should be your teacher instead of Haley." Sally said, surprising the two as she pulled another lap on Percy. Unfortunately the music note that was dancing in Tracy's hand met its end and dissipated.
"Really Mom?" Tracy asked with a big smile but then a blush crossed her face at the sudden slip of the word. Sally just gave her a wonderful smile and reached over and patted her head and then kept running, leaving us to finish my last lap.
"Good job boy, most demigods would have collapsed by the 25th lap at your age." Said Phoebe as I tried to catch my breath and gave her a nod.
"Since you haven't collapsed yet, maybe a few more dozen laps would do you good." She said as I just looked up at her with her terrifying brown eyes. Then an even more terrifying set of sea blue eyes appeared behind her. Looking up at them Phoebe simply saw my gaze change from her as she gave a shallow swallow and then just dashed away without any words leaving an evil smiling Sally behind her.
"Phoebe honey I just want to talk is all." She said as she quickly followed behind the escaping huntress leaving me and Tracy to pray for the huntress.
"Sally sure keeps the girls in line around here when I'm gone doesn't she." Said a new voice as a 14 year old Artemis covered in a silver parka and a light amount of snow walked into the training area.
"Milady, your back!" Tracy said happily and ran over as I sipped on a bottle of water.
"Maybe I should make her the camp counselor." She said as I laughed and she looked towards me with a raised eyebrow.
"What's so funny?" Artemis asked as I shook my head.
"I just feel like if you do that your aggressive outdoor loving hunters will turn into prim and proper ladies." I said as Tracy snorted out a laugh and Artemis just stared at me and then had a short laugh as well.
"You're probably right." Artemis agreed with me.
'Percy, I wish to talk to Artemis, if you would.' Chaos suddenly said as I nodded.
"Artemis, Chaos wishes to speak to you." I said, holding out my hand as Artemis nodded. After Hestia and Artemis discovered that Chaos was my birth mother they seemed to have a million thoughts go through their head. After a very, very long conversation with Chaos things smoothed out. They treated me like any normal demigod, well at least as important as a big 3 demigod with my father being Poseidon.
Artemis reached out and gripped my hand as I felt a mysterious connection form between us. Artemis closed her eyes and started to converse with Chaos, but currently my mind was elsewhere as I held the softest hands I have ever held. I forced my mind to think of something else but it was impossible. Her hands were simply too soft and even though she used weapons daily they were free of calluses.
It was like the softest of silk and velvet combined into one and just amazing all around. It always made me feel funny when I held them, my heart always seeming to race. I could do nothing as I stood there with a slight blush on my face as Tracy raised both eyebrows at me. I just gave her a silent glare as she rolled her eyes at me, it was well known that any god or goddess skin always felt fantastic. That is why many demigods saw it as improper to shake the hands of gods or touch them.
Yet here I stood holding hands with a very notorious virgin goddess, but as I stood there and simply enjoyed the feeling she finally let go and opened her eyes and nodded.
"Seems like a visitor will be coming in a few months for you, your mother simply said for me to not worry about it." She said as I raised an eyebrow.
"Who is it?" I asked as she gave a mischievous grin.
"Secret." She said as I rolled my eyes at her.
"Regardless, you are late for your lessons with Hestia and Haley." Artemis said as both me and Tracy felt dread cover our bodies. Hestia was a stickler for being on time.
"W-Wait but Chaos and you." I murmured but she just had a stone-like look on her face.
"Are you trying to blame me for something?" She asked me as my mouth shut itself tightly and I quickly hurried off as Tracy followed behind as Artemis rolled her eyes.
"So what was it like?" I heard a whisper as I turned to Tracy who had a smile on her face as I blushed.
"I-It was nice." I mumbled as my blush grew, whatever these feelings were they frustrated me so much.
"Uh huh." She said with a wide grin as I glared at her.
"I'm gonna tell mom to not make you any cookies for next week." I said as horror covered Tracy's face.
"You wouldn't." She said but I didn't respond and just kept running faster leaving her behind.
"You Monster!" She yelled and quickly followed behind me.
LINEBREAK:
"Hestia, this doesn't make any sense." Complained Zoë as me and Tracy glanced at her. Apparently Sally held a conversation with Zoë a while back and found her English to be askew. By her wishes Zoë was forced into classes with me and Tracy and some of the younger hunters to learn all sorts of things. She had gotten better but thousand year old habits die hard.
"You can do it if you try, now come on one more time." Hestia said with a smile as the 18 year old in front of her frowned and looked back at her homework. While Hestia focused on the worst at English at the moment Tracy and I were focused on Haley.
"So how was your homework I gave you, when you focus on your core what did you sense?" She asked with bright eyes. The daughter of Hecate with her frizzled brown hair and turquoise eyes was all about powers and magics and was currently the leader of teaching any demigod how to use their powers. She had apparently been doing it for the last 180 years apparently.
"I felt this!" Tracy said as her dancing music note of light appeared as Haley showed a bright smile.
"Excellent! Using sunlight to create illusions, am I right?" She asked as Tracy happily nodded.
"Can you change the form?" She asked as Tracy nodded again and soon the note began to change to one of the dozen notes that existed. When it concerned any power related to music or even things that could represent music this girl was a genius. She could memorize song lyrics and notes after hearing it once. She could use powers over sound to even throw her voice or create new sounds or repeat dozens of sounds all together. Her favorite was to do a godzilla roar to wake me up from my naps.
When it came to anything that didn't pertain to sound or music, she was god awful. Her skills with a knife and bow were extremely poor for her age with how long she had been training for.
"Fantastic! Excellent job Tracy, I want to expand on this and see if you can create more than one or other things as well okay. Now Percy… What do you have for me bud?" She said in a slightly disheartened tone as I hung my head.
"I… I was able to project my vision." I said as Haley gave a curious look.
"What do you mean?" She asked me as I tried to figure it out.
'Yes, what do you mean?' Chaos suddenly asked me as I thought about what I experienced.
"It was like… I was floating outside my body? I was able to float above the camp and see around and stuff. Then I got scared and lost control of it and appeared back inside my body. I was only able to do it last night also so I haven't had a chance to do it again." I said as Haley nodded with a slight smile on her face.
"Well at least you are getting somewhere which is fantastic, my suggestion is to keep trying and then explore when you are in that state again and see what you can do." She said as I nodded with a smile, I was finally exploring some of my powers and it felt fantastic.
'Percy the name of that power is Soul Projection, it is a very interesting power that has many interesting things about it. For now all you need to know is the farther you travel the more energy it takes so be weary okay. If you run out of power you will appear back in your body but you will have a massive headache afterwards. It goes hand in hand with your Astral Communication power as well.' Chaos said in an informative tone but then a happy one.
'Basically if you are in physical contact with anyone you can bring them with you, for a bit of extra power consumption of course.' She said to me as I smiled. This power sounded like fun!
"Why do thou words exist!" Suddenly we all heard a frustrated roar of Zoë as we all turned to see her seemingly strangling her notebook as Hestia gave a chuckle overlooking the frustrated huntress.
'Best of luck Zoë.' I prayed for her in my head, turns out Zoë learned her English about as slow as I did my powers.
LINEBREAK: later that night
THIRD PERSON POV:
Percy woke up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth begging for water, he just slowly got out of bed and made his way to the kitchen. As of late Percy and Sally had stopped using the same room, though he missed the warmth and hugging his mom his mentality was at the point he did need it anymore. He sleepily walked down stairs to the kitchen and got himself a glass of water and just stood there silently in the kitchen drinking it.
"One more glass… and a snack." He said to himself as he got one more glass and then snuck a handful of shredded cheese out of the bag as well. With a dumb smile on his face he ate his snack and finished his water, but as he put the glass in the sink he saw something interesting.
Outside in the snow there were three people slowly walking through it in heavy jackets. Their backs all faced him but he could see their breaths turn to steam the instant it hit the air. He could tell they were not hunters because there wasn't a shred of silver on them but it appeared to be two older people and one younger one.
Percy just wondered who in their right mind would be walking in such an environment at night. Looking at the thermometer it was 0 degrees fahrenheit outside, well below freezing. They must have been lost or escaping something. Then he saw a shine of metal on the one in the middle as a shield that made him freeze. It was a terrifying face of medusa herself, swallowing a little Percy stepped back a little.
These people appeared to be demigods, he had never met any other demigods besides the hunters so he didn't know what to do. As he stared at them suddenly the smallest fell down in the snow face first. He clenched his fists at the sight, the other two quickly turned around and tried to help them up but appeared to be out of strength.
"I have to help them." He said as he quickly but quietly ran to the door and got on his jacket and snow clothes as fast as he could and grabbed a flashlight. With a click of the door he went outside into the snow, though it was no blizzard it was coming down quite harshly and there was nearly 2 feet of it with old fall as well. Thankfully he and his mom dug many paths and with the help of the endless youthful vitality of the hunters, who wanted pies and cookies, many flat areas and paths were opened up around the cabin.
Percy quickly ran down a path towards the trio as his flashlight danced with the snowflakes. The trio quickly picked up on the light but didn't seem to move, normally monsters don't go around using flashlights. There was tension in the air but when they saw the small boy round the corner of the cabin the tension eased a bit.
"Hey!" Percy yelled as he got closer as the tallest moved the other two behind him, but as Percy got closer all he could see was a ski mask on their faces leaving him wondering who they were.
"Come inside, you will die out here." He said, shining the flashlight towards the ground to not blind them with it, but he kept waving at them as the two taller ones looked down at the smallest and seemed to hold a conversation with each other.
"Come on, do you just want to get colder?" Percy asked and started marching back to the cabin. Seeing the sight the two managed to get the one that fell down back up and walked her to the cabin. Percy just waited for them by the door to make sure they were coming and once he made sure they were he opened the door to find Sally making a pot of hot water and with ingredients for homemade hot cocoa beside them.
"Something to warm them up." She said with a light yawn as she continued her task at hand as Percy smiled.
Just then the three just slowly made it in and seemed to almost collapse in the mud room seats taking large breaths. Percy himself quickly took off his jacket and snow pants revealing his spongebob pajama pants and an oversized shirt that had Garfield on it.
"Thank you, we appreciate the help." Said a male's voice as he took off the ski mask revealing a 14 year old face with a head of sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, a light tan, and a sharp nose. He almost looked sneaky as well, like you wouldn't trust him with your wallet, but he was still handsome nonetheless.
"My name is Luke, This is Thalia and Annabeth. Again thank you, you saved our lives." Luke said with a small smile as Percy smiled in return.
"I'm Thalia, also thanks." The one with the shield dropped her backpack and took off her ski mask revealing spiky shoulder length hair, slightly pale skin, electric blue eyes, and a mess of freckles dotting her cheeks and nose. She had a punk rock look to her and appeared to be about 12 ish. Percy could only stare at the pretty girl as a cat caught his tongue as the girl ran a hand through her hair and then gave him a nod. She and Luke then turned to help the smaller girl.
"Oh my what happened to you three?" Sally suddenly asked as she walked over to the living room coffee table and dropped off the plate of hot cocoa and then walked over.
"We… Got lost." Luke seemed to admit with a blush on his face as he rubbed his hand head. As he stared at Sally in her oversized shirt and pajama pants that hid what it could of her shapely figure. Though she didn't have an ounce of makeup on and appeared a bit frazzled from waking up in the middle of the night, she still stood 6 foot 1 and gorgeous as ever.
"Luke help." Thalia said semi angrily and elbowed the blonde in the ribs for staring too long at Sally, this caused him to suck in a breath of air in pain and then turn back to Annabeth as the two removed all their gear.
She was the same age as Percy but had honey-blonde hair that was back in a ponytail that had princess curls, her skin although pale had a california tan, stormy gray eyes, but she appeared exhausted at the moment. Just seeing her exhausted state worried Percy a bit as Sally quickly led them to the fire.
Soon a child the same age as Percy was revealed after 2 heavy mismatching coats, a ski mask, and two extra pairs of snow pants. Actually all three seemed to have the same set up as soon several sets of clothes were in a neat pile by the door revealing three raggedy looking children who now sat by the fire each holding a hot cup of blue cocoa.
"You three are welcome to stay in the guest room for as long as you need. I am going back to bed, but if you need anything please ask Percy he is more than capable." Sally said with a smile and went upstairs, as soon as she turned Thalia glared at look causing him to look down at his blue cocoa and then take a sip.
"This is so good." He was amazed at the flavor as Percy nodded happily.
"My mom makes the best food ever." He said as the three just stared at the kid in front of them.
"Why is it blue though?" Asked Annabeth with curiosity as Percy just smiled.
"Because blue food just tastes better." He said like it was a matter of fact as Thalia just gave him a weird look then glanced at her own drink and gave it a sip as her eyes lip up. Quickly she began to drink faster but stopped quickly.
"Hot hot!" She said, sticking out her tongue and waving at it as the other three laughed at her.
"So… are you a…" Luke asked as Percy grew confused and a tension grew in the air.
"A demigod?" He asked as they nodded.
"Why do you ask?" Percy asked.
"Luke covered us with the mist to hide us from mortals. We either assumed you were a demigod or clear sighted human." Thalia said recovering from her burnt tongue a bit.
"Ahhhh I see, no I am a demigod." Percy said as they nodded.
"What god?" Suddenly Annabeth asked as Thalia gave her a glare, it was always a sensitive subject for demigods sometimes.
"I don't know." Percy said sadly as he lied to them. It was unfortunate but he wasn't able to tell anyone his true origins for a while.
"Whabout about you three?" Percy asked as all three stayed silent for a bit.
"Hermes." Luke said as Percy's eyes lit up.
"That's so cool! Isn't he the god of roads, travel, gymnasiums, athletes, diplomacy, orators, thieves, commerce, trade, and invention." Percy asked as Luke just gave a shallow chuckle.
"I guess. He is the most average god." Luke said with a sigh as Percy frowned a little. Seeing Luke's face sour, Percy decided not to talk about Hermes.
"Athena, goddess of wisdom." Annabeth said as Percy's eyes lit up again and gave her a smile as he leaned a bit toward her in his excitement.
"Isn't she the goddess of civilization, mathematics, strategy, defensive warfare, crafts, the arts, and skill also? That's so cool! Does that mean you're super smart? or you are good at building stuff?" Percy asked leaning even closer as Annabeth gave a blush but nodded. Percy was pulled from his thoughts as a cough from Thalia crossed her throat as he blushed.
"Sorry… I get excited over stuff like that. I'm kind of a mythology nerd I guess you could say." Percy said, rubbing his head with a blush as Thalia and Luke laughed. Annabeth still blushing too hard to say anything.
"It's cute." Thalia said as Percy blushed harder but stayed silent as Thalia laughed at his expression.
"What about you?" Percy asked her as Thalia gave a mocking face.
"Daughter of Zeus, the lighting king of olympus. Also no need to nerd out over me, it's just Zeus." She said with a mocking voice as Percy just gave a small sad smile. He knew much about Zeus from both the history books and Hestia and Artemis themselves. He wasn't the best father figure out there.
"Still I got cool lighting powers from it, so it ain't so bad." Thalia said as she lifted up one hand and small crackles of electricity bounced in her fingers as Percy's eye lit up.
"That's so cool! I wish I could do that." Percy said as Thalia gave a smile of satisfaction.
"I think I'm gonna turn in for the night, I'm plenty warm already. Percy, which room is mine?" Luke suddenly said, putting down his empty glass. Seeing the exhausted look on Luke's face at the moment Percy just pointed down the half to the last door as Luke nodded.
"Thank you, I guess I will see you all tomorrow… for Thalia's birthday." Luke said as Thalia had an 'I can't believe I forgot' look on her face. With that Luke gave a huge yawn and walked down the hall leaving the three alone.
"How old will you be turning?" Percy asked as Thalia looked up at him.
"I will be turning 12 this year." Thalia said as Percy smiled.
"That's cool! Maybe mom will make you a cake to celebrate!" He said as Thalia waved her hand as if telling him not to.
"How old are you Percy?" Thalia suddenly asked.
"Oh me? I am seven." He said as both demigoddesses seemed to freeze for a second.
"Your seven? You look like you're at least 9 or 10." Thalia said in an exasperated tone as Annabeth nodded along, Percy rubbed the back of his head with a small chuckle. Will the year of physical training and a perfect diet provided by Sally and Hestia Percy hit his growth spurt hard now standing at 4 feet 9 inches tall. Extremely tall for his age.
"That's what I always hear, maybe because of my godly side?" Percy said as both the girls glanced at one another and shared a look of confusion.
"I don't think demigods grow that fast, I mean look at Annabeth. She is also seven years old." Thalia said, throwing a thumb towards the girl as Annabeth just stuck her tongue out at her.
"Really?" He asked, looking at Annabeth as she gave a blush but nodded at him as he seemed to think. Sure he knew the reason already, because he was a demi-primordial but he couldn't just say it.
"Yeah you are weird." Thalia said as Percy looked sat as Thalia seemed to panic for a second.
"Wait, I didn't mean it like that, uhhh…" She looked panicked but Annabeth saved the day.
"So do you have any powers Percy?" She asked as Percy brightened up and smiled proudly and nodded as the two looked at him.
"What is it?" Thalia asked as Percy seemed to think.
"It would be easier to show you. All you need to do is grab my hands." He said, setting down his hot cocoa and holding out his hands as both girls stared at his hands. Both set down their cup and then grabbed his hands and waited as Percy slowly exhaled and closed his eyes.
"It might be weird but I promise you aren't in danger." He said as they nodded slowly. He then began to focus on that same pull he felt yesterday, quickly he found it and then with a tug he suddenly didn't feel his body anymore. He then slowly opened his eyes and found himself floating in his clothes that he was wearing above his cabin as he gave a smile.
"You can open your eyes." He said as both demigoddesses slowly opened their eyes as panic filled them.
"Calm down your both fine, it's just my power. It is like an out of body experience. Like demigod dreams." He said as Both Thalia and Annabeth gripped his hand harder as they looked around as they slowly got used to it.
"This is amazing." Thalia said as looking at the falling snow passing through the three of them.
"Maybe Morpheus?" Annabeth gave a guess towards his father as she looked at Percy as he gave a shrug towards her. Little did she know he technically had a godly parent on both sides, two even on his father's side.
"Maybe, but I'm gonna try something. So hold on tight!" Percy yelled as he began to fly upwards, his mind easily controlling his flight speed as Annabeth and Thalia screamed in fright at the sudden height he was going up to. Soon the trio broke through the snow clouds revealing a full moon in the sky.
It looked so close up that all three just gaped at it as they enjoyed the site. However a certain creator was currently watching the scene with a flat face as Order gave a loud laugh at the scene. Apparently Percy was already making great strides to be a lady killer without even knowing it.
"Percy, it's so pretty, thank you for showing me." Annabeth said not taking her eyes off the moon.
"I agree. Can we please go back down now?" Thalia said, earning a look from Percy and Annabeth as she looked absolutely terrified she even squeezed Percy's hand so hard that it hurt.
"Please." She begged as Percy suddenly let the power dissipate. Suddenly all three found themselves back by the fire as Thalia slowly opened her eyes and gave a large sigh of relief but then noticed both Annabeth and Percy staring at her.
"W-What?" She asked with a blush on her freckled cheeks.
"Are you afraid of heights?" Annabeth asked as Thalia just stared at them and gave a small nod.
"Oh gosh I'm sorry, I should have asked." Percy said as Thalia shook her head.
"Don't be, you didn't know and neither did Annabeth. I like to keep it a secret. Also if you both tell anyone…" Thalia threatened as both just nodded quickly as the daughter of Zeus's eyes seemed to calm down a bit as she took deep breaths.
"Still… a daughter of Zeus afraid of heights." (• 3 •)
"Shut up Percy!"
A/N: Hello everyone,
I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Looks like Percy is already making those lady killer strides. Also I know it isn't a whole lot of powers right now, I figured since Percy is a young boy the powers he should unlock would be more utility wise for now at least.
Also so far I'v had quite a few people comment on adding and not adding Thalia and Annabeth. So far it looks like it is leading towards adding both but I want to double check. Also technically they don't have to be wifes. I am taking concubines as well in the story so maybe one of them get added to that? Who knows but keep the reviews up!
(Slight spoilers bellow)
Also I know there isn't much for action but no worries the next chapter will have plenty! Let's just say brother Oranous will make a drop by on Christmas with an awesome gift.
E/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the late edit on the backlog, life was kicking my ass and I couldn't do much. I am getting okay (I think) but this will NOT hinder any future updates or anything. I am working through the backlog and then I will be caught up and we can be good! Enjoy! - Dex
