LAST TIME:
"I thought Poseidon was my dad? I mean, isn't Neptune just Poseidon in Rome?" I asked her as Hestia stayed silent as her form suddenly shifted, her mousy brown hair suddenly was up in a ponytail and her cinder eyes narrowed and her whole demeanor changed from that of Rhea to much more militaristic and war-like. Her age aso shifted from her 20's to her late 20's as my eyes grew wide.
"Percy there is a secret only known to the gods and the hunters. There is a whole other pantheon that exists in America, Roman gods exist just as much as Greek ones do. We share the same body as each other, like dual personalities. It gets very annoying sometimes, but Percy, your father did something that has never been seen before."
"Not only did he adopt you under the name Poseidon to make you a true blooded child of his. He did so under the name of Neptune as well, I didn't believe it at first but as your powers developed over water I was finally able to tell." She said as I just sat there silently thinking.
"S-So what does this mean?" I asked, Hestia… no Vesta just smiled.
"Percy not only are you a demi-creator and adopted by Order himself but you have been adopted to be a true child of Poseidon and Neptune. You're a bridge between both pantheons, you are both Roman and Greek. This is where your quest for Asclepius' staff comes into play."
NOW: Real time: May, 2003 (Full two years after they entered the Nest)
THIRD PERSON POV:
"Chaos there is news from the main fleet commander." Order said as Chaos turned to him, breaking her eyesight from the screen showing Percy and Zoë making their way to California.
"Good or bad?" She asked as Order shook her head as Chaos frowned a bit.
"They have done everything they can but Abyss has escaped their grasp and is heading here again. Still, being able to stall Abyss for 3 years is outstanding, sadly in doing so the fleet is only left with not even a millionth of its former headcount." He said as Chaos sighed deeply.
"I will never understand mortals sometimes, to throw away their lives on their own whim. I even told them to not interfere yet they went against my orders ." Chaos said in a sad voice as Order gave a small smile.
"That just shows the influence you have sister, You liberated a billion worlds and created even more, you have saved countless of those mortal's lives from tyrants and evil gods. To them they would do anything to repay you, even if it means throwing away their life. They gave you a chance to recover as much as you could." Order said as Chaos just nodded, sadness still spread all over her face.
"Hopefully I can thank them in the afterlife." She said quietly as Order frowned.
"Chaos…" He couldn't find any words to say as he knew she was right. The primordials and both of them only had about a 25% chance of stopping Abyss. Without Chaos at full power they were nearly useless to stop him. Order was extremely powerful, but he was only about 50% of Chaos' full strength. Abyss was truly a monster, his powers unnatural and almost as if not from this universe.
"What about Percy then? Have you even told him what is going to happen?" Order asked as Chaos bit her lip and shook her head.
"I-I don't know how to. How do I tell my son that his mother is going to possibly die?" Chaos nearly begged as Order just stood there silently with a sad face.
"Abyss will be here in 2 months Chaos, we must do something for the worst case scenario. Just… talk to Percy, let him know the circumstances. He is a smart boy, just driven by his emotions sometimes. Just look at him right now, his sister and his goddess are both injured and he strives forwards like an unstoppable force. Percy must find out about Abyss whether we like it or not." Order finally said as small tears gathered in the corners of Chaos' eyes.
"I just do not wish for his life to be a pursuit for revenge, such a life is not one he should ever live." Chaos whispered.
"Then speak to him and let him know your wishes. Like I said; Percy is a smart boy, he will understand." Order said as Chaos just sat there watching the screen of the two as she slowly nodded.
"I will talk to him, I just will need a few weeks please Brother." Chaos said as Order nodded.
LINEBREAK:
"So this is the great Wolf house… Kinda run down isn't it?" Percy asked while looking at what appeared to be a rich lumberjack's wet dream, but he was instantly punched in the arm by Zoë as he winced in pain.
Because of the time spent in Percy's alternate dimension he stood at 6 foot 1 and had a devilishly handsome 18 year old face. His body was lean and seemed to be made of pure muscles, like a seasoned warrior ready to go into battle at any second. His hair also seemed to go from pitch black to obsidian black and his eyes pulsed with power. A new color was even present as a deep purple had come up from the depths of the black and white and joined another ring around his iris with the sea green color. The blessing of Eros had finally kicked in making him even more handsome and gave him much more knowledge on… select topics.
Percy admitted it was extremely helpful with Zoë, in daily life and in the bedroom. During the trip several women had actually hit on Percy, all he could do was tell them he wasn't interested and had a girlfriend but they still kept pestering him. Zoë in turn chased them off with anger in her eyes and murder on her mind, to which Percy couldn't help but admit she was super cute when she did it.
Even Percy did the same to several men who were hitting on Zoë, even going so far as breaking a man's arm who laid on hand on Zoë after refusing to back down. The permanently 19 year old looking demititan was just as stunning as Percy, her body was extremely athletic but full of curves that Percy would find himself lost in occasionally. Every night that each one of them chased off a suiter Zoë would pounce on him like a tigress later in the evening.
The demititan was now very curious and seemingly on a mission to try as much as possible with him before other soulmates arrived. Percy was also very welcoming of her plans. Currently though, he wore his hoodie with the giant vertical eye of Sauron on it and his backpack as well. Zoë was wearing her normal hunting gear with her bow on her back and her daggers sheathed by her side. Also to make things a bit easier the Kopis form of Crimson Sky had been replaced by a blood red Gladius that hung by his side.
"Shut up, you are about to meet Lupa herself, you must be on your best behavior. She is very serious when it comes to training demigods, also she is not one for jokes." Zoë chastised him which just caused him to roll his eyes.
"I'm alway on my best behavior, I have no idea what you're talking about. Especially if this is the only true way to get to Camp… Uhhh what was it called again?" Percy asked as Zoë sighed deeply and facepalmed.
"Camp Jupiter." She explained in a tired tone.
"Right! Camp shit for brains! I remember now!" Percy said making an 'aha' motion with his hands as Zoë just thirdly stared at him.
"Remind me how I fell in love with you again?" She asked as Percy smirked towards her.
"Because I am amazing, goofy, and a great cuddler." Percy admitted shamelessly as Zoë rolled her eyes, however she reached for his hand and interlocked fingers with him and walked forward.
"Hmmm… a hunter and a demigod in a relationship? How scandalous." A female's voice sounded behind the two as they froze. Slowly they turned to see a massive wolf with beautiful chocolate red fur and two silver eyes like mist standing behind them. Percy's eyes went wide as Zoë suddenly bowed towards the wolf and forced him to do the same.
"Lady Lupa, it has been a while. I apologize for his behavior." Zoë said Lupa slowly sat down, her giant tail swishing back and forth as she eyed the two.
"Also we aren't in a re-."
"Don't try to lie Zoë. Your scents intermingle in such a way that I am well aware of the actions you two have taken. I assume Diana will handle this when she recovers. By the way… who is this boyfriend of yours who insults Jupiter?" Lupa said as Zoë blushed deeply and hung her head as Percy and her stood up.
"Percival Damianus, please call me Percy. I don't know which god is my parent. I simply met Zoë several years ago and learned of this mythological world through her, all while dealing with the occasional monster on my own. More recently monsters have become too much and I needed a safer place to stay, which has driven me here." Percy said his fake name, which was prepped for him by Vesta.
"Percival, it sounds like you have been through a lot. It is unusual for such an old demigod to be out of camp for so long, I assume your scent is very minimal. So tell me why do you insult Jupiter?" Lupa asked as Percy began to sweat a bit. Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut.
"Because Zoë explained to me what happened to Diana, I just find Jupiter's punishment unfitting for her crime with the efforts she has put towards Olympus." He said as Lupa just stared at him and then gave a small toothy smile.
"It seems your boyfriend is not a stupid as I thought he was." Lupa said as Zoë and Percy sighed a bit.
"I believe Vesta contacted you." Zoë said, redirecting the conversation as Lupa simply nodded.
"She did, she even mentioned she tested you as well. Said you were a promising demigod." She added as Percy simply nodded.
"Even if she did, I still must see you in action myself. It is a dog eat dog world out there, I don't want to see a demigod die because he cannot survive in this world." She said as Percy suddenly let out a constrained laugh as Lupa raised an eyebrow and Zoë punched him.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry it's just you said dog eat dog world. You're just a giant wolf… Pfft!" Percy suddenly began laughing as Zoë looked like she wanted to murder him. Until the giant wolf goddess herself let out a chuckle which only surprised Zoë.
"Indeed I am." Lupa said with a chuckle as her tail wagged a bit as Zoë's eyes went wide at that. The normally very serious roman goddess was laughing. Something she had never seen in all her years of bringing demigods to her.
"So for the test." Zoë tried to continue the conversation as Lupa stopped laughing and then smiled.
"It is simple, if Percy can withstand my godly pressure he will pass." Lupa said as Zoë nodded as she stepped away from Percy as he nodded as well.
"So… What do I have to do?"
"Just stand there and don't fall." Lupa said as her mist-like eyes shined and then a thick silver aura covered her. In an instant Percy's nerves flared as invisible weight was placed on him as he bent a little, but he slowly stood back up and repositioned his feet.
"Good." Lupa said as her aura started to grow and Percy felt more invisible weight pile on him. Yet he stood tall and proud as he gritted his teeth and faced Lupa with a smile on his face.
"That's all you got? Vesta nearly buried me in the ground with her aura." Percy said as Lupa's smile faltered a little as her eyes narrowed a bit as the pressure increased tremendously. The ground itself even dented a little as Percy sunk up to his ankles. His face was covered in sweat but the smile never left his face.
"Lady Lupa, isn't this too much?" Zoë asked as Lupa just stared at Percy as he remained standing even as his body trembled.
"You pass." She said as her aura instantly retreated and Percy was left in a small dent as he took a few breaths and wiped his brow.
"Zoë… keep your boyfriend in line if you will. With his attitude I am afraid he will not mesh well with the disciplined attitude of the other demigods." Lupa said as she stood up and then walked past the two and towards the Wolf House.
"I already plan to, Lady Lupa." Zoë said with a bow.
"Do you know the way?" Lupa asked as Zoë simply nodded.
"Safe travels then, may Mercury bless your travels." With that Lupa disappeared into the cabin as Percy moved his shoulders a little.
"Thought she was going to make me kneel before she let up." Percy said as Zoë punched him yet again in frustration.
"You and your big mouth! Ugh! You're lucky I was here to call her off before she turned you into a pancake." She said as Percy shrugged a little.
"I would have been fine, I just wanted to get a grasp of how strong she was. Who knew the wolf goddess was so strong?" He said as Zoë just stared at him with an exasperated face.
"J-Just stop talking, You're giving me a migraine." She said as Percy just smiled as he leaned down and planted a kiss on her cheek real fast making her blush.
"Percy! Lupa could be watching!" Zoë hissed at him, but the blush betrayed her feelings as the two began walking away as they once again interlocked fingers.
As the two disappeared into the woods in the direction of Camp Jupiter, Lupa was inside watching them disappear as she gave a sigh. Currently Lupa was in her human form in a simple roman dress that matched her hair color. The Goddess stood 5 foot 8 but two wolf ears shot upwards from her chocolate red hair, bringing her total height up to 6 feet even. Her skin had a slight copper tint to it like a light tan, but her face was regal and just as beautiful. Even with her two large ears and stunning beauty, the most distinguishing feature was the tail that currently poked out of the dress that swished back and forth.
"That child is going to be a handful for them." The misty eyed goddess said as Vesta sat not too far away sipping what appeared to be coffee from a mug.
"He will indeed," Vesta said as she took another sip.
"Are you sure he will be able to get the staff though? We are playing a dangerous game with Jupiter at the moment, Zeus is already on my ass for helping Diana heal as is. No godly help he keeps saying." Said a second voice as the sun god himself sat on the other side of the table as his leg bounced up and down as his nerves remained on edge. His worries all directed to Artemis who was still in his temple receiving the best of care he could provide.
"I am more than sure they can retrieve it, all they have to do is steal it after all. Also like I explained Zeus did not specify that roman gods couldn't help. If he has a problem with it then he is in for more conflict than he can handle at the moment. Also Percy is not part of the hunt in any way, we are helping him not the hunt." Vesta said as Apollo remained quiet.
"Still, you mentioned he is a child of Neptune. This is too much of a coincidence with the recently discovered child of Poseidon." Lupa said, glancing as Apollo did the same as Vesta took a sip of her coffee.
"That is for Poseidon to explain once this is all over. For now I have discussed it with another goddess and she is willing to claim Percy once he arrives. Though I am sure Diana will not be pleased to find out when she wakes up." Vesta said as both Lupa and Apollo raised an eyebrow.
"Who is she?" Lupa asked as Vesta just gave an exasperated expression.
"I-It's Venus." She said not meeting their eyes.
"Why do I have a feeling that the goddess asked for a favor in return?" Apollo asked with a raised eyebrow as Vesta set down her drink and sighed.
"She wants to meet him and Zoë in person..."
"And you agreed? Listen I know you were scrapped for time, but Venus? That goddess is going to eat that boy alive, or at least try to."
"I know! Sadly she was the only one I could trust at the moment. She may play the romantic ditz on the council, but that woman is much craftier and smarter than many take her for. She even swore on her essence to keep it a secret until the time comes." Vesta swore as Apollo and Lupa just stared at the slightly embarrassed goddess.
"Let us pray that she has some semblance of reason and doesn't ruin the boy. He needs to finish the quest before Asclepius leaves Camp Jupiter."
LINEBREAK:
Percy and Zoë slowly walked down the Caldecott Tunnel as they chatted with one another. Zoë led the way as Percy observed the tunnel.
"This is an extremely well hidden entrance if I have ever seen one." Percy said as Zoë simply nodded.
"Romans pride themselves on their war-like abilities, be it defensive or offensive. What better defense than a main entrance that can bury an entire cohort with ease?"
"That is very true… camp half blood needs to step up its game, at least the huntress camp was in a large valley between two mountains."
"This is true, if the gods allow us to rebuild it I've decided to move camp to an even better defensible spot with walls, ballistas, and even a moat!" Zoë said with clenched fists and fury in her voice as Percy just gave a sad smile.
"Not if, but when the gods allow you to rebuild. I assure you, it will be the coolest camp ever! I will even help." Percy said with a smile as Zoë looked up at him and gave a soft sigh but then leaned upwards and planted a small kiss on his lips.
"Thank you, I'm sure the daughters of Athena could use a helping hand when it comes to moats haha." Zoë said with a smile as Percy put on a funny face.
"That sounded racist, or would it be godist? Powerist? Anti-Poseidon?"
"I don't know what you're talking about, anyways hush we are almost there so nothing about other camp stuff." Zoë said as she hurried forward as Percy rolled her eyes until they saw two people guarding a side tunnel of the service tunnel as they quickly turned our way.
"Halt!" One yelled out as one brought out a spear and the other nocked an arrow as they got ready for battle. Looking at the two he could tell one was pretty young, maybe 10 or 11 while the other was about 16. Percy could only think that it was maybe training day for the small one or they were tight on campers.
"We come in peace, I am Zoë. Lieutenant of Diana's hunt, I am here on a quest to aid this demigod here. Lupa has already assessed him and he is fit for Camp Jupiter." She said as the two glanced at one another.
"Name?" One asked as they motioned towards Percy.
"Percival Damianus, unclaimed. Please just call me Percy." He said as the two nodded and lowered their guard a little.
"Letter of recommendation?" Another asked as Percy glanced at Zoë as she shook her head as the older of two frowned a little.
"Wasn't aware this was a job interview, would have brought some references." Percy said as Zoë rolled her eyes.
"Well for now come on in, we will introduce you to the Praetors to get you situated for now. Since you are without a recommendation letter more than likely only the 5th Cohort will take you in. How old are you by the way?" The small one asked through his metal helmet that seemed a bit big on him as he began to lead the way down the tunnel as Zoë and Him followed.
"I am 18 currently, 19 in August." Percy mentioned as the little man whistled a little.
"Wow we normally don't get stray demigods of your age, your scent must be pretty weak for you to be out there on your own for so long." He added in the end, Percy's mind tingled a bit hearing him say it though, if only he had a weak scent, a lot of his childhood trauma would not exist.
"I made do with what I had at the time, by the way what's your name kid?" Percy asked.
"Who me? My name is Jason! Jason Grace son of Jupiter! Nice to meet you Percy!" He said with a wide smile as Percy's eyes went wide and he stopped walking for a second as his mind processed what he just heard. Zoë stopped as well and glanced back at Percy with slight worry in her eyes.
"Oh crap! Sorry I shouldn't have told you that, everyone always overreacts when they hear I am a son of Jupiter." Jason said in a slight panic as Percy suddenly had a hearty laugh and kept walking forwards as Zoë looked at him strangely.
"No worries I'm not surprised too much, I mean all gods exist so why can't Jupiter have demigods? So Jason, what do you think of your dad?" Percy asked with a jolly smile on his face as Zoë kept an eye on him.
"I don't really know, everyone tells me he is the symbol of perfection, a king that holds Olympus together with rules and power. I don't know for sure, I have never met him and myths only tell so much." Jason said as Percy nodded slowly and looked forward for a bit.
"Just a bit of advice for you, no being is truly perfect. Just take it as life advice from an older demigod." Percy said with a smile as he patted Jason's helmet.
"Okay." Jason said as if not taking the conversation seriously. With a slight nod his blue eyes left Percy's and he marched as Zoë gave Percy a glance as he held his finger up to his lips in a 'shh' motion.
Several hours later Percy was in Cohort five barracks as he read over a pamphlet that was handed to him along with some camp shirts and other items. Jason had simply left as soon as he arrived to go back to guard duty. Within minutes he met the Praetors by the name of Henry and Tiffany, both greeted him politely and with smiles. They asked him a few questions but nothing too extreme. Then Percy met an awkward Augur boy who mercilessly cut into a teddy bear and gave him the go ahead to stay in camp.
Octavian is what Percy believed his name was, he was too distracted by the discarded pile of stuffed animals by the sacrifice shrine. Percy was quickly given the option to join either cohort 4 or 5 which Percy chose to join 5 since it had the fewest people. Zoë simply tagged along, apparently hunters could stay in any barracks while they resided in Camp Jupiter.
Percy was simply treated as a commodity even though he was so much older and technically had survived a long time on his own. Although finding out that there were legacy children of gods was a surprise to him. From what he heard from the hunters is that Greek demigods rarely grew to adult age and had a family. So there was no really no place for them at Camp half blood, unlike here which seemed to house hundreds of demigods and legacy demichildren.
It even had a whole town with a college attached to it providing a full community in New Rome of nearly 1000 people, even the cohorts had nearly 200 alone. It was truly outstanding in Percy's eyes as he read over all the info. Technically he wasn't even part of the legion yet since he was unclaimed and still had a year of service to perform, as of right now he was Probatio. The lowest rank a demigod could be while living here.
"Don't mind the Lares, they might be opinionated but they are dead haha… Hey Zoë, what are Lares?" He asked glancing at Zoë who was now wearing the purple shirt of Camp Jupiter and plain jeans, her silver circuit now hidden in her bag as the demititan took the role of an average camper and not a huntress. Still even in the plain clothes Percy couldn't help admiring the persian princess in front of him.
"They are guardian spirits of a sort, they just protect things. They are more or less annoying spirits. Anyways, now that we are in the camp, what is the plan? I know it involves Asclepius' staff but how?" Zoë asked as Percy just continued to read the rules and then glanced at her. To cover their asses only Percy was told the plan, since if they told Zoë they would be 'helping the hunt'. Percy telling Zoë did not classify since he was not a god.
"As far as I'm aware Vesta managed to get a goddess to claim me to get me some sort of standing. After that Vesta said we just have to wait for Asclepius to show up and then just steal the staff." Percy said as Zoë's eyes went wide.
"We are stealing his staff? That is his godly item! How are we gonna do that?" Zoë asked as Percy just shrugged at her as Zoë appeared to be at a loss of words.
"I am sure we will figure something out, we should have a week at minimum before he gets here. In the meantime I can blend in a bit, get a scope of the temple he will be staying in and make any preparations. I believe dinner is coming and more than likely my claiming as well, let's hope it isn't too showy." Percy said standing up as Zoë just shook her head and followed.
"Also…what was all that with Jason?" Zoë asked as Percy smiled.
"You might not remember but does the name Thalia Grace come to mind? You may have met her several years ago." Percy said as Zoë seemed to think and then her eyes went wide.
"Y-You mean the daughter of Zeus? Wait wait… oh my." Zoë said as Percy nodded.
"Two children from one mother, different pantheons with each visit. I never heard Thalia mention anything about a brother but it is simply too much of a coincidence. My guess, gods got involved, split them apart. Now what to do with the information." Percy mumbled as Zoë shook her head.
"The gods would have your head if you revealed anything about one camp to another. Do you know the reason they are separated?" She asked as he shook his head.
"A civil war is why, long ago both camps attacked one another and fought for 3 days. It led to massive losses on both sides and the gods were forced to separate both camps. If you drop any information about Jason to Thalia or another camp to another then you are looking to start another war and thus the gods will not hesitate to stop you. So for now put it in the back of your mind and wait." Zoë said as Percy sighed and nodded by the time they finished their private talk they had arrived at the mess hall.
Quickly the two got their food and found some seats as people glanced at the two much older and beautiful demigods. The instant Percy sat down and was about to take a bite of his burger he felt an aura wash over him and sink into a bit. Percy glanced up and his eyes widened a bit as a swan quietly floated above his head that glowed a light pink and started to surround him.
"Another son of Venus! Bah!"
"Hey shut up, at least he is handsome."
"Still he seems pretty old to be claimed, he must have some skills.."
People began to chat and some started to clap and talk amongst themselves as Percy felt a slight chill down his back. Why did it have to be this goddess? Couldn't he have someone like Ceres or maybe even Minerva? An instant later a crunching sound was heard as Percy turned to see the fork in Zoë's hand now bent. However Zoë's face was calm like a lake but Percy felt even more chills spread over him.
"Why her? What was Vesta thinking?" Zoë mumbled to herself as Percy couldn't help but agree. However the next instant the aura around him began to shift and suddenly his face and hair shifted and before he knew it Zoë was just staring at him with wide eyes and a rising blush on her cheeks.
"W-What? Did something happen?" Percy asked concerned as she shook her head and coughed a little.
"N-No, It just seems Venus decided to place a blessing on you as well."
Percy was already handsome before but had some minor facial imperfections and his hair always appeared untamed. Now it was perfectly windblown and perfectly shaped and his face was also free of imperfection and even seemed to appear even more handsome. Even the slight eye bags he had were now gone and his eyes sparkled like galaxies of black and white with stars of sea green and purple.
"So… what does that mean?" Asked Percy as Zoë blushed again and looked around at the people now staring at Percy with blushes on their faces. Both men and women alike couldn't help but simply stare at the godly level of handsome in front of them.
"J-Just shut up and eat." Zoë said, bending her fork back into place and then quietly eating as Percy raised an eyebrow. He took one glance around as people blushed every which way he turned, understanding that his looks must have changed he gave a slight grin which caused some girls to cry out in excitement.
"Whatever you say babe." Percy whispered and started to eat as Zoë hid her head down to hide her blushing cheeks.
LINEBREAK: (Please see chapter 10.5 for lemon, you scallywags)
Percy slowly awoke in his bed in a slight daze, he stared up at an unfamiliar ceiling that was not the barracks he was assigned to. His memories were very cloudy of the events of last night. He just simply waited and tried to find something to remember until he felt a body stir next to him. He slowly turned his head to see a sleeping Zoë on his arm who was currently creating a large drool spot over his arm. Once he saw her peaceful sleeping face he couldn't help but smile at her silly face. Leaning down and forward he gave her a small kiss on her forehead and in turn she smiled and shuffled a bit closer.
Then suddenly the feeling of her naked body touching his own naked body, surprise ran through him for an instant and then his memories of last night came rushing back. The showers, Aphrodite, Zoë, seduction magic, etc. It all came rushing back as Percy closed his eyes and slapped his hand with his free hand.
"Hmm?" The slapping was enough to stir Zoë from her sleep as she slowly rubbed her eyes with her free hand and gave a large yawn. She then opened two beautiful eyes and looked up at Percy as his hand remained on his face.
"What are you doing so… early?" Zoë said checking on the clock to see it was about 4 am.
"Oh just wondering what in the hell happened last night." Percy said as Zoë grew confused but then realization hit her and her eyes went wide and her face contorted in anger as she pushed herself up and tried to move but the sheets slid backwards revealing her naked body causing her to freeze as she quickly pulled them back up.
"I can't believe that slut, her damn magic. She will pay for this, making a show of us for her own personal enjoyment." Zoë said ashamedly as she sat on the edge of the bed with her head in her hands as Percy quickly joined her.
"She will pay alright, I'm sure Vesta or Artemis will be more than willing to get her back for what she did. I'm just happy she wasn't so insane to actually go as far as having sex with either of us." Percy said angrily, the goddess of love's magic controlled their lust and love for one another to an insane degree. Basically the goddess got a free show of Percy and Zoë going at one another like animals. The goddess even joined in like a third wheel touching and licking the two as she pleased, like two toys.
"I didn't even feel any connection to her either, I feel dirty and I'm just so fucking angry right now." Zoë said, gripping the sheets tightly as Percy reached over and held her gripped fist. His feelings were the same as Zoë's, but he knew they couldn't do anything to the goddess currently. The connection with the rivers that Zoë and Percy felt with each other and slightly with Artemis was not present with the love goddess.
To the both of them it was both degrading and embarrassing to the absolute limit. For now Percy buried the feelings of anger and disgust towards the love goddess until a later date. He would make her pay for playing with them but in the future, when he had the strength to do so.
"I know how you feel Zoë, I feel the same. I've just buried my anger about it for now. Let's just tell Vesta and when Artemis wakes up we will tell her. Though it won't be the same as personal revenge, I'm sure the two goddesses can think of something pretty interesting until we can do something ourselves." Percy said as he tried to calm Zoë down as she looked up at him as their eyes met.
"Okay… but one day im going to punch her so fucking hard not even her powers will be able to cover that bruise up!" Zoë said with a small sin as Percy just smiled.
"I will take pictures of that and give them to Hephaestus. I'm sure he will be more than willing to help with something like this." Percy added as Zoë grinned, Percy then leaned down and gave her a sensual kiss on the lips. Both of them enjoyed the sweet kiss as they held hands in the silence of their room.
"Where are we though?" Zoë asked through the kiss as Percy pulled back and looked around until he saw a note on the bedside. Quickly the two grabbed it and read it as a new fire or anger burned in their eyes.
Hello you two ;)
You might be a bit confused when you wake up but as a thank you for the… intense show last night, I figured I would help you a bit because I am so very kind. You're currently in a house in New Rome that you may use whenever you wish, the keys and deed to the house are on the dinner table. Hope you enjoy your love nest teehee!
Until next time you two!
Lots of love,
Venus
PS: IM me if you two want to play around again ;)
"T-This… slut!" Zoë roared in fury tearing apart the note into scraps as Percy was fuming at the side as well.
"Does she think a house will compensate for what she did!?" Zoë roared, throwing the note pieces into a garbage can.
"While I fully agree… a personal house is a lot better than the barracks." Percy said as Zoë turned to him with an angry face but huffed out and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Y-You're not wrong, I am still pissed about it though." Zoë said as Percy chuckled.
"Well for now let's get some more sleep and then decide what to do from then."
LINEBREAK: 1.5 weeks later
Two figures could be seen quickly jumping roof to roof as they moved across New Rome with great speed but while remaining completely silent. Both were wrapped up in completely black clothing. Zoë and Percy finally got word that their target was staying in New Rome and tonight was the night of action. Zoë was currently decked out a black hoodie, shirt, pants, and even combat boots. She was even wearing a black face mask and glasses with her put up and hidden in her hoodie.
Percy on the other hand was wearing exactly the same except his hoodie had changed to hide the eye of chaos on it, but on his face was his mask which had the dull black side out and his hood up as it seemed to morph his whole head into a flat black slenderman like head. Though it was creepy as hell, as Zoë described it, it was very effective in hiding. Also on his back was his backpack in a different design as well, after the staff was stolen they would be leaving, so Percy packed up all their stuff.
"Is this the place?" Percy whispered as they came to a stop in front of a simply looking house as Zoë nodded. She then pointed towards the door which revealed a very simple design of a snake wrapping around cane.
"Well that is a dead give away. So you're the one who scouted at the place as I cleaned up after the elephant. How do we get inside?" Percy asked as Zoë smirked under her mask.
"Kitchen window, he leaves it open every night." Zoë said as Percy nodded as the two quickly approached the house. As they did they found the window closed as both frowned, but Zoë slowly approached it and took off the screen and then slowly pushed upwards and the window slid up with ease.
"This is why you need to lock your windows." Zoë chastised Percy as he rolled his eyes. While living in the house he apparently had a bad habit of leaving them unlocked. Proving her point and rubbing it in a little Zoë looked around to make sure nobody was there. Then with amazing flexibility Zoë put her hands on the top and bottom of the window seal and then lifted herself up horizontally. She then curled her legs to her chest and then turned her body and extended them inside.
Percy watched in slight awe as his girlfriend easily got inside without a hint of a noise. Soon she was standing in the kitchen as she glanced at Percy, he didn't have to see her face to see the shit eating grin underneath her facemask as he rolled his eyes.
"Get the back door, I'm not as amazing as you." Percy whispered as Zoë raised up her glasses and gave him a wink and an okay sign with her hand. Percy just put on a flat face as he swore he would pay her back later. He then quickly made his way to the back and jumped the fence with ease and waited by the door.
Hearing a click of the door he smiled as but then the door opened wide and an arm in a white bathrobe shot out the door. Percy's eyes went wide as he activated his camouflage skill and in an instant he disappeared from sight as Asclepius himself walked out the door. The god had a tired face and yawned as he walked out with a black staff in hand with a green yellow-eyed python with a spiked collar around its neck.
"This is why I told you not to drink so much water before bed Spike." Asclepius said in a tired tone as the python slithered down the staff and hissed a bit as he went into the grass. Percy on the other hand was wide eyed as he slowly towards the open door with both of their backs turned. His camouflage breaking as he rushed inside as quietly as he could, he thankfully made it inside but as he rounded a corner he collided with Zoë who was just about to peek around the corner. A muffled thud was all that was heard as Percy had one hand on the corner of the turn and another hand in hand with Zoë to keep her from falling. Slowly the pair straightened themselves out with a tiny sigh of relief.
"What do we do? He wasn't supposed to be awake. Maybe tomorrow?" Zoë asked as Percy thought as fast as he could.
"Let's try again tomorrow." He whispered with a nod as the two made their way to the kitchen only for the sound of a door closing to be heard.
"Feel better Spike? Gosh now I'm thirsty as well, maybe a small glass of tea wouldn't hurt." The gods said Percy and Zoë slightly panicked as they heard the footsteps approaching the kitchen. There simply wasn't enough time for them to escape now. Quickly the two looked around for hiding spots, Zoë saw the cupboards had a decent ledge for them and in an instant she climbed the cupboards and laid flat on their top.
The ledge was so big she effectively became hidden as Percy was left alone, he quickly backed into an edge of the kitchen and activated his camouflage as he became unseen. Their breaths hitched as the light in the kitchen flashed on revealing the tired god as he slowly walked in. Percy and Zoë remained like statues as the god slowly filled up a tea kettle with water in the sink, but then he paused and looked up at the open window with a confused face.
"I thought I closed this…" He mumbled to himself and reached up and closed the window and locked it. Thankfully he was too tired to find that the screen was missing as Zoë and Percy inwardly cried. Their escape route sealed off for the time being.
"Hisss." Spike hissed at Asclepius as the god frowned at him.
"I am not getting old, you're the one getting old. Can't even hold your bladder for the night." He huffed as Spike hissed at him again as the god rolled his eyes.
"Tea is not an old person drink, now hush." He chidded back as he turned off the water and put the pot on the stove and turned it on. Then he turned towards where Percy was and started walking his way as Percy felt his heart skip a beat. Thankfully his training with Nyx came into play and he was able to hold his breath and stay completely still as Assclepius reached right next to his head and opened a cupboard.
He was so close that Percy could smell the scent of body wash on the god and see some hairs he had missed on his neatly trimmed beard. Zoë's eyes also went wide as she peered over the ledge as her body tensed ready to act in an instant. As soon as the cupboard opened the god retrieved a cup as his hand missed Percy by half an inch.
"Ah my favorite." He said with a smile as he placed a mug that had the words 'world's best doctor' on it with a small smiley face.
"Hiss hiss." Spike said as Asclepius rolled his eyes.
"No you can't have a cup, Mr. Small bladder. Also don't make fun of my cup." He said as Spike rolled his eyes.
Asclepius then leaned against the island in the middle of the kitchen as he quietly waited for the water to boil. As to why the god didn't flash in tea or simply make it go faster with his powers was currently something on Percy's mind as each second felt like an eternity to him. He was currently taking an extremely slow breath as the god and his snake chatted with each other. Finally as the eternity ended and the water boiled Asclepius gave a small smile and took it off the burner.
"Wait, tea bag then water." He said as if reminding himself as he turned right towards Percy once again as Percy inwardly cried. Percy was not lucky this time as Asclepius reached right in the direction of Percy's head as Percy was forced to move, breaking the camouflage.
"AHHH!" Asclepius screamed in fright and backed up as Percy popped out of nowhere terrifying the god for a quick second. Percy jumped into a combat stance scaring the god more as he slammed into the opposite counter and reached for his staff. Spike now hissing violently at Percy as panic filled the room.
"P-Please don't hurt me! I'm a doctor, I help people! I-Is it money you want? Just take it!" Asclepius panicked as Percy raised an eyebrow as the panicking god, sure he was the god of medicine and healing but he was a god. Seemingly having the same thoughts as Percy, Spike stopped hissing at him and then turned to his god and hissed several times as Asclepius had a look of realization on his face.
"Eh hem… I mean… begone intruder! You are in the presence of the magnificent god Asclepius! Now leave before I turn you into a medicine plant!" Asclepius yelled as Percy finally decided to speak.
"I'm not here to hurt you, I swear! I just need to borrow your staff. It's for a good cause I swear." Percy said as Asclepius stopped his strong guy play and just stared at Percy.
"No way in Pluto's domain will I lend you Spike. Although he is annoying.. I will not lend you him for even a second!" He said angrily as Percy and the god just stared at one another in silence.
"Then I am sorry for what I am about to do." Percy said as his shield and Crimson Sky came to life as Asclepius' staff along with Spike began to glow.
"As am I bo-."
*DINGGGG*
A second before anything happened Asclepius was struck from above and collapsed unconscious on the floor. Percy slowly looked up to find Zoë with a slightly bent frying pan in hand as a gray aura slowly dissipated from her skin.
"Sorry it was the only thing I could think to do." She apologized as both stared down at the unconscious god who was gripping his staff for dear life. Spike now raised up in the air hissing at the two.
"What? You want some too?" Zoë asked, holding up the frying pan as her gray aura returned as Spike's eyes went wide as it quickly retreated to the staff and was now as quiet as it could be.
"So what now?" She asked Percy as he suddenly let out a laugh at the scene, Zoë just frowned as the frying pan was lifted one more time as Percy shut his mouth quickly.
"I mean… I don't think Asclepius is gonna let go of the staff anytime soon. I don't think we can just leave either, it's now or never. So it looks like…" Percy said as the two looked down at the slowly growing bump on Asclepius' head.
"We are kidnapping a god and his godly item." Percy finished as Zoë sighed deeply and hung her head in defeat.
"Can we hide him in the Nest?" Zoë asked as Percy shook his head.
"Unconscious people can be taken in but if someone is hostile towards me like he just was then they will be rejected from the space."
"Well… I will get a rug, do you have restraints?" Zoë asked as Percy held up his Sword as it suddenly turned into blood red rope and gave it a tug as Zoë nodded.
"Looks like taking a staff turned into a kidnapping, Vesta is gonna have our asses after this." Percy complained as he bent down and began tying up the god and the staff.
"Why is it that whenever I'm on a quest with you something goes horribly wrong?" Zoë complained as Percy laughed.
"HAHA, it wouldn't be a certified Percy Jackson quest if everything went correctly if you ask me! Also what are we gonna do about Terminus?"
"Right, I forgot about him."
LINEBREAK:
"And why do you two want to leave so late?" Terminus asked Zoë and Percy who currently had gas masks and gloves as well as rain ponchos on as they held a very dirty and gross looking carpet.
"Lord Terminus it is because this carpet was so smelly that multiple residents of New Rome were complaining about it keeping them up late at night. Apparently multiple Fauns apparently defecated and did several other… unsavory things to it as well. It is short of a biohazard inside I promise." Percy said as the Statue looked at him with puzzled eyes and then looked at the disgusting carpet and frowned a bit.
"That does not explain why you need to go across the barrier." Terminus said with a frown as Percy did a head slapping motion as if he had forgotten.
"We plan to burn it and toss its ashes in the Little Tiber. Something like this cannot be simply thrown away. Here we will show you just how bad it is, Hailey help me set it down." Percy said using a fake name as he and Zoë began to set the carpet down.
"NO! Stop! Doing so will only dirty New Rome!" Terminus said with a panicked face as Zoë and Percy stopped as they put it back on their shoulder as the god gave a sigh of relief.
"Quickly dispose of it and then come back, not before cleaning yourselves up! Those damn Faun dirtying New Rome! If I could I would give them a piece of mind! If you can find the Faun responsible for such a tragedy and send them my way! Now off you go!" Terminus said as Percy and Zoë inwardly cheered and called Terminus the best god they knew.
"Absolutely! I shall send them your way once the day turns to light!" Percy said as the two began to walk forward as they quickly passed over the barrier as Terminus just watched them.
"Wait!" Terminus said as the two froze as sweat began to collect on their foreheads, before they both turned to face Terminus.
"What were your names again?" Terminus asked with a raised eyebrow as the two felt their stomach drop.
"It is Hailey and Jake sir." Percy said as Terminus just stared at them silently as time seemed to slow down.
"Well Jake… Hailey… Thank you for doing something so filthy for New Rome at such a late time. Also if you could pull up that weed a few feet away on the trail I would be grateful." Terminus said with a smile as Percy and Zoë nodded quickly as Percy quickly reached down and pulled the weed as the two quickly went on their way down the path lit up by street lamps.
"Such nice children." Terminus said with a sigh as he closed his eyes and seemed to fall asleep until he raised an eyebrow.
"Wait, is there even a Jake and Hailey that live together in New Rome? Hmmm…I will have to have someone ask the Praetors tomorrow to find out. That way they can be rewarded for their efforts." Terminus said with a smile.
LINEBREAK:
Percy and Zoë however were quickly running for their lives as they made their way to the Caldecott Tunnel with all their might. Thankfully the guards at the time had noses and were quick to accept whatever Percy and Zoë told them. The smell on the carpet was truly terrible, it was something the hunters liked to cook up to keep monsters away. Normally a small amount was needed for a night, the amount the two had used was much more than that.
Just the smell was enough to make one of them nearly vomit as they backed away and shooed them away as fast as they could. Percy and Zoë, not missing the chance, quickly left the camp in the dust as fast as they could.
"I can't believe that worked." Zoë said as Percy and her were now a dozen miles away panting lightly as they set their hostage on the ground.
"And you doubted me." Percy said as he quickly runrolled the carpet revealing Asclepius with his own gas mask. Now the godly doctor was wide awake as he simply laid there as the magical rome that was once Crimson sky held him in place.
"If it means anything, I am sorry I hit you with a frying pan." Zoë said as the God just glanced up at her as Percy undid part of the restraints and got him to stand upwards as they walked away from the biohazard that was now the carpet.
"I am more upset about the carpet honestly, that thing was a vintage carpet from when the Roman Empire was still around." Aslcepius said with a sigh as Zoë frowned.
"I-I'll get you a new one, or clean this one. Can you store it?" Zoë asked as Percy nodded and quickly wrapped the Carpet in plastic and stuffed the giant carpet easily into his backpack like it was nothing.
"Oh how convenient, it seems traveling with you two won't be too awful after all." Asclepius said as Zoë glanced at the kind eyed god as they took off all their dirty equipment and put it in Percy's backpack for later disposal.
"Why are you so calm?" Zoë asked as Asclepius and Spike looked down at them.
"Well I calmed down once I saw who I was dealing with, Miss Zoë Nightshade I believe? Lieutenant of the hunt?" Asclepius said as Zoë slowly nodded as the god smiled.
"Then I assume this boy is your… help?" He said looking at Percy.
"I am her boyfriend and I'm not just some help, she is technically my help, this is my quest. Also my name is Percy." He said Zoë blushed and punched Percy as Asclepius' eyes widened a bit.
"I see, that is smart of them to do, a very nice work around if you ask me. Can't help the hunt, so have someone else help the hunt and Artemis instead." Asclepius said as Percy nodded.
"I assume you need the staff to help heal Artemis?" He said as they both nodded.
"Good! That is what I deduced when I saw Miss. Nightshade by your side. With that I do not mind playing the designated prisoner for the time being. Use me as you wish, do not hurt me is all I ask. Plus if I wanted to escape this rope is preventing it, I must say it's a fine product." Asclepius said as Percy gave a nod.
"Also… Miss. Nightshade… nevermind. I would check your IM's if I were you. I have a feeling you have been receiving messages for a bit now. " Asclepius said as both Percy and Zoë got confused, they had temporarily blocked any messages because of the mission. With one flick of his wrist Percy summoned a sheet of water in front of Zoë.
"Iris, do I have any messages?" She asked as the water shimmered a bit.
"Ah! You're finally back! You were about to reach your 50 missed call limit! Your goddess has been trying to reach you for the last 3 hours! She won't stop pestering me! Ah! She is calling again!" Iris said in a panicked voice.
"Accept her call quickly!" Zoë's voice was filled with happiness, she had been trying to contact Artemis for weeks now but she got nothing.
"Milady!" Zoë happily said with tears in her eyes as an 18 year old Artemis appeared on the screen, her face slightly pale and her auburn was a mess. Currently she was in what looked to be a golden room, but before Zoë could speak she was stopped by Artemis' eyes which were full of anger.
"You idiots!" Artemis yelled angrily as Zoë and Percy were stunned by her anger. It was supposed to be a happy moment but it was ruined.
"W-What?" Zoë asked, confused as Artemis looked into her eyes and then glanced at Percy and gave a deep sigh.
"You're both idiots, you know that?" Artemis said as her good hand ran through her hair as both Zoë and Percy glanced at one another.
"Milady… we are doing this for you." Zoë managed to get out as Artemis shook her head.
"I'm not talking about what you're doing right now, though it is immensely appreciated." Artemis said as the two grew more and more confused as Artemis just glanced between the two as she finally gave up and sighed.
"Zoë, your oath has been broken, I felt it as soon as I woke up." Artemis said as Zoë's eyes went wide as did Percy's, they had forgotten about the oath.
"M-Milady…"
"Hush right now, I am not angry about it. Zoë… you are pregnant. That is what I'm angry at you two for." Artemis said as Percy and Zoë felt their hearts stop as Zoë slowly reached down to her belly as gently as she could as Percy seemed to short circuit, he stood like a statue that was about to collapse.
"So I was correct! Congratulations to you two!" Asclepius said happily and clapped his hands as the two stood stunned.
