Sheng Tian found himself in a new room with another old man. The old man sat with a transparent orb floating in front of him.
"This is a destiny measuring tool," said the old man, "The levels are white, yellow, green, blue, purple, red, and black"
Sheng Tian walked over and placed his hand atop the orb. There was no reaction at first, but it suddenly shook and turned completely black and shattered into hundreds of pieces.
There was silence, before he gave the young man a gold token along with a mid grade spirit stone vein crystal.
A single mid grade spirit stone of the lowest quality is equivalent to 100 low grade spirit stones that most would not even have one of. Not to mention the spirit stone vein which would go for millions of spirit stones as it can continuously produce mid grade spirit stones.
Sheng Tian put everything in his newly obtained spatial ring and stepped through another Formation.
Weng!
Instead of a testing ground, Sheng Tian was transported to a familiar place. It was the mountain which he climbed often in the past.
Standing by his parents' graves were 2 figures. A beautiful woman and a handsome man whose face is similar to the little boy's.
They turned noticed the new presence and turned around to look at Sheng Tian.
The woman smiled, "My son, you're back"
Sheng Tian's eyes widened for a moment, his pupils becoming slightly unfocused. A moment later however, he shook his head.
"I've never even seen my parents before, and even if they were still alive, they would not be here"
The image shattered, replaced by another elder, "You broke the illusion in 15 seconds, a new record"
Wu Di inside Sheng Tian's sea of consciousness snorted and snickered to himself, 'An illusion of this level cannot hold my disciple in place for long. Though, to think that he still holds a sort of longing towards two people he had never seen before...'
The boy was handed another gold token as well as a bottle of clear liquid.
"This is. . ." his eyes widened when he saw the bottle.
Sheng Tian recognized it as the Origin grade natural treasure Clear Mind Dew which he had seen in the underground area.
This treasure, when consumed, would refine his mind and spirit and grant him the ability to better see through illusions. Just a single drop would be fought over yet there are around 50 drops in a single bottle.
Where did all these treasures come from?
"Perhaps the Sky Sword Sect's Ancestor gave them these treasures," Wu Di suggested to him.
He thought about it for a moment, before shrugging uncaringly. Wherever these treasures came from, Sheng Tian would take then anyway. He stepped through another Formation to enter the next trial.
Weng!
This time, he found himself in a huge stone chamber with no one else around.
"There are 9 trials here. You must fight and win at least 3 battles. You will not die here. Say 'ready' when you are" a mechanical voice said.
"Ready"
A humanoid figure made of a gray metal appeared. Before it could do anything however, Sheng Tian's fist sailed towards it, wrecking its entire upper body. A colorless light enveloped his fist signifying that he is at the final level of the Extreme Human Body; Indestructible Human Body.
His current strength can rival even peak qi refining realm cultivators with just his body alone, and once he starts cultivating his strength would soar even more.
"Ready"
This time, 2 figures appeared with the strength of a first level qi gathering realm cultivator. It also took a second for Sheng Tian to dispose of the puppets with ease.
"Ready"
"Ready"
"Ready"
The great elders and sect master watched speechlessly as they saw Sheng Tian completely destroy the puppets ruthlessly and all within a few seconds.
They were expectant as they saw him step out the portal from the previous trial as one's destiny should not be easily disclosed but did not expect his terrifying strength.
"Ready"
Sheng Tian easily breezed through the battles and is already on the 9th battle. 9 puppets appeared however this time with the strength of mid qi condensing realm cultivators.
He sneered, balling his hands and dashing forward, taking out 2 instantly. Using the Illusory Snake Steps which he had not stopped practicing, Sheng Tian weaved left and right, appearing behind a puppet and punching it, and then disappearing again to appear behind another.
In less than 10 breaths of time, he had destroyed every single puppet.
The mechanical voice returned "Pass"
A gold token appeared on a pedestal along with 2 boxes.
Inside each he found 2 peak quality mortal spirit jades. A single peak quality mortal spirit jade is basically a peak quality peak grade mortal spirit stone but thousands of times purer and more abundant. It can also be used to create treasures of all kinds or placed in formations.
Sheng Tian stepped into another portal and into a room for his final test.
An elder greeted him and explained the test "on that stone tablet you will see a technique. The technique is different for everyone and is based on your luck. The tablet will show a number for spectators to see how much you can comprehend in 1 hour. Comprehend at least 15% of the technique to pass"
Sheng Tian sat down and stared at the tablet. Words formed on it and the name of the technique appeared: Nine Star Heavenly Thunder.
"Secret Technique!" Sheng Tian thought, startled.
A secret technique is a technique with no limit and its strength depends on the user. The more he read the technique, the more profound it became. This technique fuses lightning laws with 9 different laws into stars within one's body. The lightning can then be drawn out in a battle and used as a powerful technique. Not only that, but the lightning can be fused together once more, creating a powerful strike containing all 9 laws with lighting laws.
He stared at the technique for another 20 minutes, completely memorizing it and understanding how it works. The tablet shown and the spectators saw the number 100 appear, shocking them greatly.
One of the great elders had to be carried away after he fainted.
Sheng Tian was handed his 5th gold token and he stepped into the final portal that brought him into the room the sect master and great elders were in.
They all stared at him as if looking at a demon, and then only recovered once the sect master spoke.
"Someone give him the information for official disciples before I explain what's going on"
