Allen had never had this feeling of fear for a very long time. The last time he got scared was when he was still on earth with his parents — that was the first time they began to change towards him as a child, he ought to be scared but later on, he stopped being scared of them and ever since that time, he had never really felt scared of anything. He had long forgotten the feeling of fear until some hours ago.
"And what are you thinking about? Don't tell me it's about teacher Sam," Zane said as he walked to him carrying two plates of food. He sat down on the chair and pushed one of the plates to Allen.
"You are right," Allen mumbled and began to eat. He was still yet to forget those eyes that gazed back at him, those eyes that were able to send shivers down his spine.
"Oh, forget about it. That man may be scary but he's one of the best teachers in this school and a good man as well, I am looking up to him," Zane replied to help ease the stiff atmosphere but Allen wasn't the kind of person to forget such a thing easily.
"What are his powers?" He asked Zane.
"Well, as far as I know, he can hear sounds from afar, even heartbeats. He can teleport and also, he has a great fighting style. These are all I know about him," Zane replied.
"I see," Allen mumbled and continued eating his food. Because they were at the dining hall, people were bound to look at him because of his reputation but soon, he noticed that someone had been staring at him since he walked into the hall and that person hasn't for once looked away. Curious, he raised his head from the food and turned to the direction where he felt the gaze was coming from and when he turned, he saw a pretty girl looking at him. The girl waved at him with a smile but he bent back and continued eating his food. He thought perhaps it was one of his enemies that was watching him and not a girl. "Who is that girl staring at me?" He asked Zane.
Zane looked around first and saw the girl who was staring at him. "Oh, her name is Rain Silver and her family is —"
"I didn't ask you about her name and family!" Allen said to Zane, interrupting his speech. "I asked who she is," he added.
"Mmm, she is the class assistant of the entire class 1 while her boyfriend is the class assistant of the entire class 2," Zane replied.
"Why tell me about her boyfriend?" Allen asked him.
"Because he's a guy you shouldn't mess with," Zane replied in a warming tune.
"What? Is he that strong? Stronger than me?" Allen was now curious about the guy.
"You are nowhere close to him," Zane replied as a matter of fact. "Whatever, just stay away from that girl if you wanna survive, don't say I didn't warn you!"
"In as much as I love fighting, I'll stay away from someone else's property," Allen concluded and focused on finishing his food. When they were done eating, they stood up to leave but at that very moment, the girl that had been staring at Allen got up as well and approached him, blocking his path. Allen gazed directly at her and his face squeezed in a frown. "What do you want?" He asked her.
"My name is Rain, I hope we can be friends," she replied and brought out her hand to shake him.
"Look here, miss. I am not interested in being friends with anyone, go find someone else," Allen replied with a straight face and walked past her.
"You can't turn me down forever no matter how much think you can," Rain replied behind him and giggled softly.
' Threatening me? Not gonna work ' Allen thought as he left the dining hall with Zane. The break time was over and so they returned to their classes — their next class was on magic and everyone was pretty much excited because it was the most interesting subject they had. Before the teacher came in, everyone in the class had already brought out their books and pens, patiently waiting for the teacher to come in.
And when the teacher came in, they all stood up to greet her — It was a young lady in her late twenties, she had pale skin, her hair was the color of a rose and her eyes were blue as the ocean. She was pretty tall with long legs and then a good shape. Everyone liked her because she was beautiful and always smiling.
"Miss Ruby, you are exceptionally beautiful today," a female student commented from behind.
"Thank you, darling. And you as well, you look stunning," the female teacher replied with a bright smile. Her eyes roamed throughout the class until they fell on one person. "Oh? Do we have a new student?" She asked, staring at Allen.
"Yes, Miss Ruby," a student replied.
"Can you stand up and introduce yourself to me?" Miss Rose asked Allen.
"My name is Allen and I'm a new student," Allen reluctantly got up and introduced himself to her.
"Have your seat, Allen. You are welcome," the teacher and smiled at him.
"Hey, why does she kept staring at you like that?" Zane whispered to Allen as he took his seat.
"Keep, not kept!" Allen corrected him.
"Whatever... Answer me, I'm curious," Zane whispered again.
"She's right there, right? Go and ask her yourself, I don't know," Allen replied. Inwardly, he also could not help but wonder why the teacher kept staring at him. It was beginning to freak him out.
The class was a total of two hours and it was the last class of the day. After they were done, the teacher left the class and all the students began to pack their things. Allen and Zane packed their bags and when they were done, they left the class.
"Hey, Allen. We meet again," Rain said to Allen as he came out of the class. Seeing her, he frowned in displease. "What? Aren't you excited to see my gorgeous face after school today?" She asked him.
"What is wrong with you? I dislike people who have no respect for themselves," Allen replied and made to leave but Rain made a mistake by attempting to touch him on the shoulder. When she realized her mistake, it was already late as Allen had already grabbed her wrist and bent it.
She screamed and moved away from him. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She yelled at him while holding her wrist.
"I should be asking you that," Allen replied and left with Zane.
"You are going to pay for this!" The girl yelled. She looked around and saw how the students were all staring at her. "What are you all staring at? Get lost!" She yelled.
