The giant screamed and my laughter mixed. Nearby Selena's group was terrified. They don't expect Lucian to be this violent except Irene. I stabbed the giant eyes and twisted as I flow through lightning into his flesh.
I can smell the flesh meat being cooked. While enjoying the feeling of being superior, I sense something. Not exactly sense but it's more like my instinct was alert.
I active my Lightning aura field although it consumes more energy with my life on the line I need detailed information. " Shit!"
I noticed there is an energy field forming underground. The giant must know that he can't live so he decided to drag Lucian down with him.
As soon as I noticed the giant planned, I focused every bit of energy on my leg and jumped. The giant corpse evaporates. The giant snake-like creature made out of the earth appeared behind the ground.
The snake immediately throws itself at Lucian.
I cursed myself. I take a stance in mid-air. There was no force to extract in the air so I just use energy to control myself. The snakehead collided with my sword in an instant.
My sword broke into pieces. I quickly covered my torso with energy. I was sent flying away.
The snake dissolved into the air. Look like the giant contract with energy last for this much. I was falling. Because of the impact, I was coughing blood. I feel my insides just smashed by a baseball bat.
Wilfrid noticed this situation and immediately ordered Selena to catch Lucian. He grabbed Kyla and run toward Lucian. Selena active her energy and control the air around Lucian. That is a basic technique required for a mage. Kyla can do but Selena's skill is much better than hers.
Wilfrid sprinted. Reynard controlled the pillars and dropped to the ground making the path for Wilfrid.
Irene also followed she was worried. Soon Lucian was floating in the air. Wilfrid jumped up and grabbed Lucian. His body was covered with blood to the point that his clothes were darkened.
Wilfrid carefully places Lucian on the ground. Kyla started the healing immediately. She first stopped the bleeding and clear out the blood in his lungs.
" Not good, his internal organs were damaged."
She injected energy into Lucian's core directly. She needed to make Lucian's body heal on its own. She can aid a few broken bones but internal organs were not in her healing range.
While Kyla was busy healing Lucian, Wilfrid is guarding the surroundings with Reynard and Irene. They are not sure whether the area was safe. There could be another monster.
Irene's face shows a mixture of worried and doubt. She has seen Lucian switch personalities twice. His personalities change so fast. Maybe he just likes fighting strong people but those eyes, eyes that see other creatures as lowly beings.
He said that he comes from the dungeon crack but Irene doesn't trust those words. But she still cared about Lucian.

I woke up. There's no light just a plain sky filled with darkness. The wind flows into my face. Feeling a sting in my chest, I looked down. With the bandage and a bit of blood, the wound is stable.
I looked around, Kyla was sleeping with Selena on the ground and the fire is dead. They are cuddling each other. I don't see, Wilfrid, Irene and Reynard. I focused my energy on my right hand and throw the spark into the drying fire. The fuel remains, it must die because of the wind.
After lighting a fire, I nodded in satisfaction.
I closed my eyes and lay down. I collected myself, thinking about the last moment I remember. The snake or should I called energy contract. I sighed.
This was my fault. I should just kill the giant quickly but decided to play with him. I don't regret doing it but I should at least check the surroundings. It was stupid.
I collected my breath and actively tried to absorb the energy around me. The energy enters my wound and speeds up the healing process. I can feel the burning effect on my wound, it was bearable.
After a long time of absorbing energy, I stopped and check my wound. Surprisingly, the wound is almost healed. With a satisfied nod, I went back to sleep.

Rustle!
I opened my eyes. Maybe because I was sleeping in the field, I was extremely sensitive. I get up.
" Wait! You should rest." Kyla stopped.
She shakes my head and said with worry, " You should stay here for a week. The wound you received is quite harsh. I don't have the skill to heal you completely. So you should rest."
Hearing her worry, a smile formed on my face. I shake my head and ripped the bandage. Kyla was frustrated with Lucian's actions. She doesn't mad at others but if someone disobeys her authority on healing she gets super mad.
She was about to yell Lucian but seeing the wound on his chest disappear she was left surprised. Rubbing her eyes, she touched my chest and examined every part of my body.
" Wow, your healing factor is frightening. It is almost like a demon."
I just smile. Why did I heal so fast? After killing the giant I feel my body changing at the alerting rate.
Kyla signalled the team to come with a flare. Looking at her busy packing her things, I tried to get familiar with my body.

The status surprised me a little bit. I got a new ability which doesn't surprise me anymore. I noticed that my case is special, I am not limited by one ability.

This is a skill, more like a passive skill. I don't know what effect will bring on me. I closed the status.
Every time I enter a near-death state, my energy orb rank went up. That's probably because I use every single cell in my body. The more you train, the more you can store energy.
The fight with the giant was easy but dealing with the energy contract make it difficult. Next time, I need to kill the enemy quickly. I sighed. I want to feel superior but it is what it is. Death by energy is really difficult to counter.
I don't have a shirt on my body. ' Well, I will just borrow. '
