The smoke comes out of my mouth. The sunlight hit my eyes, and I squinted. The leaves are falling and I alone sit in the park.
The time is 10 am. I am waiting for Selena. She said she will be here. After meeting that guy I decided to say hello to Elsa. She must be worried about me.
I could feel the wind blush against my clothes. The smoke disappeared. I sighed. Today is a rest day for me but my mind was racing with various thoughts.
The shadow cast a pound on me. I looked up and saw Selena.
Her clothes were quite beautiful. The colour is black, I don't know the clothes' names but I can tell that it was expensive. I nodded.
I clean off the dust on my butt, kill the cigarette fire and smiled at me. " You look beautiful."
Contrary to my expectation, she just nodded and turned around, " Follow me."
I frowned. Damn woman, at least tries to be polite. I sighed again and followed her.
The school is open, the class were filled with students. I hear a lot of chatter in my room. We passed the first-year classroom. As a first-year student studying on the first floor, I saw my first classroom.
I don't have any connection with the room but seeing it makes me happy. Selena is a second-year student because of the human current situation with demons. Second and third years students have to participate in war.
It was cruel but it is what it is. We don't have enough manpower. We arrived at the room. More like she stopped at the entrance. Looking at her, I know she is scared.
The room is full of laughter, I didn't expect the second years to be mentally strong. If they can laugh then they must have confidence in their strength.
I am also curious about King. He can make Selena scared. Irene is also scared of him.
Seeing the people I consider mentally strong being weak, makes my blood boil. I don't know why. It must be stupid pride in my mind. I smirked.
Look like she doesn't intend to move. I coughed.
Only then she opened the door. As soon as the door opened, the laughter die. There are about twenty in the room. I scanned the room looking for the King.
I don't find any noteworthy person. Each person looks strong but not enough to make me use full power.
Selena walked and stopped at the desk where the red-haired man sleeping. Oh, so it is him.
She said loudly, " Kale."
Red-haired moved a little and raise his head. He scratched his head. He yawned showing his white fang. He opened his red eyes, and he glance at Selena.
Her body was shaking visibly.
" What?"
She nodded, " You know I create a team to survive in war."
Kale rolled his eyes, " I know your pathetic team."
" How about we ally each other? You know. Our power and yours will make our survival rate higher."
He sighed and stands up. This time a powerful pressure descend in the classroom. Even I feel goosebumps on my arms. I saw some student fainting.
The pressure is nothing like the giant. His pressure comes from the core, not energy. Now I noticed he doesn't leak any energy from his body.
" Selena."
She looked down, not daring to face Kale. Kale said with a light smile, " Your goal is to survive."
After he said those words, Selena nodded. Kale saw me and smile. He walked toward me, each step he takes the pressure became stronger. I saw my mind slip away but I circulated my energy.
The effect weakens. He noticed my energy flow and nodded, " What is your name?"
" Lucian."
" Kale."
We shake hands. He laughed, " You are interesting."
I nodded, " I know. I am special."
" Nice to meet you but I have to go. Next time we meet let's have a meal together."
I nodded. He walked passed me and open the door. With a gentle clink, he closed the door. As soon as he leaves, all the students in the room gave out. Some lay down. Some were shaking.
My eyes caught Selena falling. With my reflexes, I grabbed her arms, supporting her. I noticed that she was sweating furiously. Her eyes are shaking.
I carried her in a princess style. She needs fresh air. We arrived at the park. There are no people. I place her on the bench.
I leave and went to buy cold water for her in a vending machine. When I arrived, Selena was recovering. I give her water, and she drinks.
I asked, " What did he do?"
Selena looked at me as if I were an alien, " Don't you feel his oppression."
I nodded, " But the oppression disappeared as soon as you circulate energy."
She shakes, " I also tried that as well but my body can't do anything in front of him."
" I see. So that is his ability."
She shakes her head, " No, he always has this oppression since kid."
So that is his talent. Surprisingly, he is weak but his oppression makes him seem strong. I frowned. I must be imagining. Why did I see him weak? I sighed.
" I gotta go. I need to talk to my family. Bye."
Selena left. I continue to sit, enjoying nature's beauty. I took a cigarette.
" Shit. I don't have a lighter. Never mind."
I snapped my fingers. The spark formed between my thumb and finger. I place my cigarette and it lit the fire.
I smoke not because I enjoy nicotine. I enjoy looking at the smoke.
After a few minutes, the cigarette dies.
I don't want to go to Elsa anymore. I decided to head back to my room. Yeah, I need some rest.
I get up and place my cigarette into the trash can.
" Lucian."
I hear someone calling my name. I turned around searching for the person.
Ryfin entered my vision, he is waving his hands while holding a sword. His body was sweating seems like he is training.
I walked toward him. Seeing me, Ryfin was shocked, " What's happened to your eyes?"
I touched my left eye, " Oh, this. Just a wound from fighting a monster."
He nodded, " You know Elsa has been finding you. She looked at the beginner dungeon entry centre but does not find your name so she was worried. You better call her."
I laughed. " Ok, are you training?"
Ryfin lift his sword and nodded, " Yeah. Hey, how about a spar? Let's see how much did you get stronger."
I laughed, " Ok. You better be prepared. I upgrade a lot this trip."
Ryfin and I arrived at the training hall where we fight.
