I thought about helping her, seeing her getting toy by wolf make me angry. My respect toward human grow and yet there is still people like her exit? Weak, pathetic human?
May be I am wrong to think that all human are equal. What's the point of this? Do I save her or not?
My mind was racing against each other. Each side want to save her but another want to leave. I want to change, at the same time I don't.
' Fuck it. I will save her. '
Immediately after making the decision, I jumped in front of the girl. I active my innate ability, the wolf around us disintegrate.
" What is happening? " I hear the girl disbelief murmured.
I turn around presenting myself with a smile. A smile that is so terrified that the girl scream instantly. " Ahh....."
I knocked her out. I sighed, " Well, I really need human interaction. "
I feel disappointed in myself for a first time. After that I leave her, of course I treat her wound with my ability and hide her in a safe place.
Each day passed, I was bored again in this forest. I lost all my motivation toward human. I forgot all about revenge. I tried meditation for a first time. It was really boring but overtime my view change.
Now, I'm more peaceful. I don't kill monster because they cross my territory.
Another month passed, I met that girl again. This time she is exploring this forest with what they call her comrade. A squad consists of 6 people including herself.
I was spying in her. I feel like a stalker. But I continued to do so. At this point my trait is I oppose my own judgement. Very good trait, I thought sarcastically.
The group of adventures were solid. Not so strong or not so weak. A decent group fighting against low level monster.
2 Days later, They entered into the dungeon, famous for low level pack monster. And then incident happen.
I have to give the girl credit, she seems to attract the problem Their group met the boss monster from the start.
At first they hold quite well, as time went on they begin to crumble. It was hilarious to watch. Maybe because I am way too stronger than other, in my eyes this is a child play. The boss ability is nothing special. It is just capable to reverse the attack.
He fought against people who can burn the dimension and spacial existence. That kind of ability is nothing new.
During the fight, he began to understand the girl better. She was abandon by the other five. She alone stay in this dungeon.
Just like last time, she fight for her life. Her ability is none for what I see. Just coating the energy, every awakener can do.
I sneered, ' Why bother trying to become adventurer if you don't have necessary requirements. ' I hate this kind of human.
Human who don't understand, their own limit. Human who find some hope because they doesn't satisfy with what they get.
Despite what I think, I save the girl again. I killed the boss instantly. The girl seem to remember me. She pointed at me and said, " You are the one that save me from that time right? "
I don't know how to respond to this situation. My mind is in a mess so I say quite. She immediately think me, she says that she want to meet me but can't fine me in this forest.
While speaking, her eyes began to tear up. She began to cry and complained about her luck. It was awkward. I don't know how to cheer. So I just stood there.
She calmed down, wipe her tear and thank again.
" Why bother becoming adventurer if you don't have ability. " I asked the question bother In my mind. I expect her to get mad but instead she just smile, " My family is quite poor, the father passed away last year ago. My mother want my brother and I to attend the awakener school. I can't watch my mother working day and night so I quite the school. For the rest you can guess. "
Hearing her answer, make my heart ache. My forgotten dream awaken. I once wish for a lovely family.
" Does your mother know about that you quite school? "
Shaking her head, " She will be devastated if she knew. She always want my brother and I go to the government safe work. "
" I see. "
" Hey, will you come to our restaurant to eat I will cook for you. "
It seem skeptical so I asked, " Why? "
" To thank you of course. " She replied like it is the most obvious thing."
I shake my head, " Maybe next time."
I vanished from her side. I hear her whining herself, " I should asked his name. Maybe I will see him next time."
I cleared the path she take. So there is no encounter with monster. I do it secretly obviously. But she knew about it. She shouted to me and talk about her family. How her brother study really hard and how her mother care for her.
On that night, I began to think about her, more specifically her words towards her family and the tone she speaks.
From the tone she spoke I know she love her family greatly. Just like I love my girlfriend when I was native, immature.
Her eyes were shinning each time she speak about her brother, how cute he is. I began to resent toward her brother because the words she describe her brother is unhumanly as if he was a god.
If her brother is that cute maybe they should sell him to the entertainment industry. I laughed. Today is a good day. The star in the sky is shining brightly. The blue moon he see is hanging on the sky.
The wolf howl and the fire beep. Cracking sound and soft wind grazing.
Unknowingly the one girl I hate about make my night more enjoyable. Maybe there is good human after all. But I hope she is one of them. If she is bad human, I'll had to kill her.
Slap!
I slap myself. ' What am I thinking? bad thought.
' Today is a long day, I need to rest.
In the morning, I meditate. It become a habit of mine. I searched for food. At the start, I eat meat but overtime I began tired of tasting the same thing. I switched my food to a natural fruit.
The fruit in this planet is quite strange. There is strange pattern all over the fruit, it taste bad at first but over time it become sweeter.
I walked beside the river. The water flowing in the river is my source of water and birth.
I take a shower. I clean myself. I searched for new things to entertain myself.
Next day, I saw the girl again. This time I don't want to watch over to her. I approach toward her. When she see me from a distance, she waved her hand.
I asked, " So what are you doing? "
She pointed to her cheap looking sword, " Hunting. "
" I don't see any prey you kill. "
" Haha. " She just smile at my words. I sighed. " You will get killed if you continue on like this."
" What should I do Mister.....? "
" Call me Chaos."
I used fake name. It is a bit edgy but who care.
" Oh, mine is Felicia. Everyone call me Feli."
I nodded. It was nice to know her name. I continue to lecture her about the danger in the forest. She was stubborn.
" I will teach how to manipulate energy better how about it. " I don't know why but my mouth moved before my brain could interrupt.
She was shocked as if the lightning strike her. " What you don't want my teaching. "
" No.no no I want. It is just the manipulation toward energy is secret to higher people so "
" I said I will teach you. "
I told her come here tomorrow morning because It will be getting dark soon.
With that I had gain strange relationship with Feli.
