Shit, I'm tired...
Although I've become thrice as strong as I was before, my energy reserves still weren't enough to keep up with my usage. Though I can't complain much as I didn't have all the time in the world to train my mana capacity when the amount of time I've spent in this world is only around half a month.
It's quite absurd really, how I managed to reach a level equal to the elixir children despite having such a short amount of time, but I guess even around fifty to eight percent of the main character's system is all I had. That's still around eight percent of the strength of the one responsible for saving the world.
Anyways, It's only due time for more trouble to come regardless if Reign managed to escape or not. It's getting quite annoying really, but this was all a part of my plans.
Since I didn't know much about 1B, due to it not being mentioned much in the story, and also my involvement wherein Reign was supposed to die, all I could do was build up a smokescreen from its unpredictability. Using my abilities I purposely targeted a group of people when I first entered the class to see who was brazen enough to confront me even though we were in Sense. That's when Jian popped out and did exactly what I expected.
Thus, he became my smokescreen that I know will be the one to confront me regardless of the plan from their side. What happens if I suddenly face a human contracted by an Original and die a meaningless death?
But it seems like I've underestimated his stubbornness as even I didn't expect him to continuously look for me for three days straight. Though I'm sure the unknown factor on their side has been a huge influence on their actions, their stubbornness has been annoying regardless.
I do know that another encounter would be coming, and it's going to be big as this was Reign's turn and his first loss towards me. I'm sure his revenge wouldn't be as measly as Jian's challenges, and his authority would come into play.
It was time for my next class, which would be hunting and battlefield. I rushed there albeit slowly as I was tired, but I didn't want to be late so I still walked relatively quickly.
I've reached the hallways already and was only bout a minute away from my room when someone called for me causing me to turn my body.
" Mon! " Rena who was waiting around 1B went outside when she noticed me when I passed through the windows.
" Young miss? class started five minutes ago. What are you doing here? " She was somehow waiting in the room with a few of her close friends mainly the two who are always next to her.
It's James and Jane who were ranked 3rd and 5th in the class rankings respectively. They're twins which was obvious due to their natural jade hair and eye color. They had been together with Rena since the dawn of her age thus their incredible synergy and trust with each other.
" What did you say? " She says abruptly as soon as she reached my location.
" Did I misspoke young- " I say trying to figure out what I did, but it seems like I didn't need much reply to figure out what I did as she glares at me the moment I say young.
" Ah, Rena. "
" Rena, are you seriously skipping class just to meet with him? " James looks at me annoyingly after causing Rena him and Jane to skip class.
" What do you mean? He's an ally. Should I just leave an ally be when he's in trouble? " He looks at James seriously like he seriously offended her.
" Ah... you're right sorry. " James flinched from her stare and decided to bow.
" I'm afraid I've misspoke... Sorry about that Mon. " He also asks for my forgiveness which I shook off as I get where the annoyance came from.
" Anyways, are you alright? " She looks at me in seriousness but also in worry.
" Yeah... " I reply confused yet again by her sudden shift in personality. When I first met her, she looked like a fierce lion who could devour this entire class. Her sharp and cat-like eyes made her look incredibly stern and strict.
Now she seems like a mother kitten trying to see if her child had a good day at hunting, asking if he got bullied while doing so.
" That fucking weakling... Has he become so confident that he could just say that in front of the entire class?! " After making sure that I was fine, her expression suddenly turned fierce like she was ready to go to war.
I couldn't say anything else as her face turned serious and angry trying to think of ways to attack their side fully.
" That was an obvious challenge to my authority and it seems like there's only one way to end this thing. "
" Are you student Mon? " A staff of the school suddenly approaches and calls out for my name as I was in the middle of my conversation with Rena.
' Assistant Teacher Paul ' was written on his I.D. that was wrapped around his neck.
" Yeah? Can I help you? " I reply despite knowing what this was all about already.
A famous guy this person is. Though assistant teachers rarely teach sections of higher tiers like Class 1B, they are still pretty respected around Sense as being an instructor in the biggest academy on Terran would obviously need some insane skill. But with the main plot of Earthly Guardian being centered around 1A, the highest section in Sense, assistant teachers are just a part of the world to add some flavor and details.
But this one had a special appearance in the middle of the Sense Ranking arc, when Sol had an altercation with the young master of a top 10 guild, causing the ever so corrupt assistant Paul to interact with him.
And it seems like that's whats happening to me.
" No, but someone that does is calling for you. " He says simply gesturing me to follow him.
