Chereads / Viktor / Chapter 16 - 6

Chapter 16 - 6

Viktor was laying there staring up at the ceiling. He was smiling brightly. He had always liked Yuri. Even before he knew about Yuri's feelings for him, he had always secretly admired and loved Yuri. He remembered when he first met Yuri. That day was just horrible.

Viktor had been walking along the corridor when he noticed a group of children playing. He approached the group of kids and saw some of them playing basketball. He was mesmerized by the sight. When one of the boys suddenly passed the ball to the girl standing next to him, Viktor grabbed the ball from her hands and handed it to the boy in front of him. When the boy got the ball, he immediately ran away. The girl looked up at the coach and sighed.

She stood up and began running after the boy. She chased him until she caught up to him and tackled him to the ground. She then started tickling the boy's stomach.

"Yuri!" She called out. "Get up! We have to go to class now!"

Yuri lifted himself off the ground. He brushed the dirt off his clothes and then ran back towards the classroom where the coach was waiting for him.

The coach waited patiently for Yuri. When Yuri finally arrived, the coach took one look at the boy, then motioned him to turn around. Yuri turned around and faced the other students.

"Today will be a new day for you!" The coach yelled excitedly. "We have gotten a brand new student joining us! His name is Yuri Plisetsky. He's a genius! Isn't he amazing?!" The coach smiled at Yuri.

The other children clapped. Some cheered. Some screamed. Yuri didn't know what to do, but he was glad that he had gained their attention.

"Go and introduce yourself to your fellow classmates!" The coach shouted at Yuri.

"Uhm... Hello! My name is Yuri Plisetsky." Yuri mumbled as he waved to the other kids.

"Nice to meet you, Yuri!" A few of them shouted in return.

"Hi, Yuri!"

"Hey, Yuri! Come play with us!"

"Are you hungry? Let's eat lunch together."

"Want to come over? My dad lets me go over to someone else's house sometimes."

"Let's talk about our favorite food!"

All of these little comments caused Yuri's heart to swell inside of him. He knew he needed to give back to this family, however, he also knew he still needed to learn how to become more social.

"Excuse me! Sorry! Can I go now please?" Yuri said as he tried to push his way through the crowd. "Sorry, sorry. Please move aside..."

Finally, after several moments of pushing, Yuri escaped the crowd of kids and found a secluded spot away from others.
