"Scared of myself." I replied to her, cry.
"Why are you being scared of yourself?" She asked.
"I do not even know." I replied.
Lizzy sighed and asked,
"Is there anything else that you feel like eating except for normal food?"
"Yes." I replied.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Raw meat." I replied.
"What?" She asked shockingly.
"Raw meat?" She asked again.
I nodded.
"Okay. Which meat?" She asked.
"Beef or Chicken." I replied.
"Are you fucking serious right now?" She asked.
"Yes." I whispered.
"Let's go buy it." She said,
"Let's go?" I asked.
"I thought you were going alone."
"No." She said,
"Why?" I asked.
"You will have to join me to go buy it." She said,
"I am scared of leaving you here all by yourself." She added.
"Don't you trust me?" I asked, whispering, but was audible.
"I do." She replied.
"Infact, you and Hale are the only people I trust in my life right now." She added.
"So why can't you go alone?" I asked her, whispering again.
"Because you are becoming weird." She said to me with a very calm tone.
"I am just scared of going out in the sun." I said to her,
"The sun?" She asked.
"Why?" She asked again.
"I do not know why, but I am just scared." I said to her, whispering again.
"Hey, stop the whispering. You are scaring the shit out of me." She said to me, terrified.
"I am sorry." I apologized.
I stood up and started walking towards the door.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
I stopped walking, turned around to face her and replied,
"I want to go to a butcher shop."
"Do you know anyone?" She asked, concerned.
I shook my head and replied,
"No, but I have to find one."
"I will go find one." I added.
"No." She said, as she stood up and walked up to me.
"What's no?"
"I am starving." I lied, I was not hungry at all, I was just longing for raw meat.
"No, that was not what I meant." She said to me,
"So what do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean we should go together. You and I know that it's very risky to go out alone." She said,
"So, we must go together. I am scared of staying alone here." She added.
"What about the boys?" I asked.
"The boys?" She asked me and I nodded in response.
"What about them?" She asked again.
"Some have to be here, to watch over the house and one of us has to wait for them." I replied to her.
"Something seems off too." I added.
"What is it?" She asked.
"They are not yet back. They have been gone for more than an hour now." I replied.
"I will try to find them too." I added.
"No. We must go together. What if something else happens?" She asked, concerned.
"Something like what?" I asked.
"I don't know, but we must go together." She replied.
"If something should happen, it should happen to the both of us together. Okay?" She asked.
I nodded and smiled at her.
"You ought to obey me, I am older." She added and smiled back at me.
"Yes, Lady Elizabeth." I said to her and we both burst out laughing.
"It's been forever, the last time you called me Elizabeth." She said,
"Yeah, that's true. Should I continue calling you that?" I asked.
She shook her head and replied to me,
"No. Call me Lizzy."
"Okay."
"We got to go in disguise." She said to me,
"Let's go wear something else." She added, as she pulled me along and into the room she and Hale shared.
We both wore matching T-shirts and different colors of jeans trousers. I was wearing blue, while she was wearing black
We both wore matching beanies and face
masks too.
I hope we don't get recognized.
We hopped into Hale's car and drove off, with Lizzy driving.
We got to the butcher shop, bought a lot of raw beef and chicken and returned home without any troubles or anyone recognizing us.
We returned home and met the boys packing stuff as if we were moving out.
"Hey what's going on here?" Lizzy asked, as we quickly ran up to them the moment the car stopped.
"Go grab your useful and important stuff. We are moving out. Now." Hale said to us at the top of his voice.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked, terrified.
"A kid recognized me and raised an alarm. We have to exit this place as soon as possible." Hale replied to his girlfriend.
"A kid. You are both panicking just because of a kid?" I asked, kissed my teeth and laughed softly.
"Police chased us, but we just managed to escape." Hale replied to me.
"Join us if you don't have anything better to do." Hale said to me.
I quickly rushed to the room that was given to me and grabbed my phone's and packed all the clothes in the room.
"Do we need anything from the kitchen?" I asked, but no one replied.
"Pots?"
"Spoons?"
"We only have to remove any and every evidence that we once lived here." Hale said to me.
"Okay." I said and turned to enter into the house, but Hale ran up to me and said,
"No. You and Beth should stay out here and watch if anyone is coming."
"And leave if you see anyone or any car or anything." J.J added, as he joined us.
"What about you guys?" I asked, worried.
"We will be fine, you can leave without us. We are guys."J.J answered me and laughed softly.
"I wasn't talking to you." I said to J.J and rolled my eyes.
"We will certainly be behind you." He said and nodded.
"Are you sure it's okay if we leave without you?" I asked and Hale nodded again, smiling.
"What if Lizzy doesn't agree to it?" I asked Hale.
"Then drive the car yourself and make sure you sit on the driver's seat and you two should be safe for me." Hale replied to me.
"And me too." J.J said to me, smiling.
"Ugh!" I exclaimed and rolled my eyes.
"Okay?" Hale said to me with a teary eye.
"Okay." I said and joined Lizzy in Hale's car, as Hale and J.J entered the house.
"What did they tell you?" Lizzy asked me the very moment I entered the car.
"Nothing. He said we should just wait here and watch out." I replied to her.
"And stay alert." I added, smiling.
"Okay." She said, nodding and smiling back at me.
"So, we are moving out?" I asked her.
"Yup." She replied, sighed very deeply and continued,
"I will miss this house."
"Me too." I said to her,
"Who owns it?" I asked, curiously.
"What?" I asked.
"The house, who owns it?" I asked her again.
"I and Hale owns it together. We bought it together, when I started hiding from the police. The next day after your resurrection." She explained to me.
"Okay." I said and nodded at the same time.
I rested my head on the head rest and looked at the side mirror when I saw a siren light.
"We have some unwanted guests." I said to Lizzy, as both quickly looked back.
"J.J."
"Hale."
I and Lizzy called out in unison.
They both ran out like wild animals that are chasing the same prey.
They both entered the other car, which was J.J's.
I was a better driver, so I was the one on the steering wheel. We both sped off past the police while they tailed us around, chasing us as if we robbed a bank.
The police vehicle followed us around with a hose for about an hour, before both Hale's and J.J's car ran out of fuel.
We both came to a halt and packed by the side of the road.
The police car parked behind the other car that the boys were in.
I and Lizzy remained quiet in the car, with our eyes shut, holding each other's hand.
A female figure walked towards our car and knocked on my window.
The figure looks familiar, but the person was in a police uniform.
I rolled down the window with a worried face.
"Hi officer." I said without looking at the officer, I was nervous.
"Lady Eunice, Lady Elizabeth. It's me, Genevieve." The officer said.
"Uh!" I and Lizzy exclaimed in unison, we also turned to look at her at the same time.
"Please let me in." She pleaded.
I opened the door and she slid into the back seat.
"Are you a Police Officer now?" I asked Genevieve.
"No. Why should I be?" She asked, but she definitely wasn't expecting neither of us to answer that, so she added,
"It's a stressful and worrisome job to do."
"Whatever." I said and rolled my eyes.
"Where did you get a police uniform and car from?" I asked curiously.
"I don't know. It was Raymond's idea." She replied.
"Raymond?" I and Lizzy asked in unison, as both looked at each other.
"Where is he?" Lizzy asked.
"He is with Hale and Johnson."
"Johnson?" I and Lizzy asked in unison again, as we looked at each other again and back to her.
"Yes my Ladies." She replied with her face turned down.
So he didn't tell her that he is a noble.
Wow!
I am envious of their closeness.
Lucky Genevieve.
I nodded, I cleared my throat, faced my front, staring at the wheel and said,
"Okay."
"Is something wrong my Ladies?" She asked, worried.
"No." I and Lizzy replied in unison, but we didn't look at each other this time.
"Uhm. Lady Eunice?" Genevieve called out my name behind me.
"Yeah." I replied.
"I am sorry." She apologized.
"For what?" I asked.
"For that night."
"Which night?" I asked, a bit confused.
"The night you became unconscious. I abandoned you. I am so sorry." She said and started crying.
I left the driver's seat and joined her in the back.
"It's okay." I said to her and hugged her.
"It's really okay, I have forgiven you too." I added, while patting her on the back.
"Don't you resent me?" She asked, as she withdrew herself from the hug and raised her face to see mine.
"No." I said to her, shaking my head at the same time.
"I don't resent you at all." I added, smiling at her.
"Thank you my Lady." She thanked me, smiling back at me.
"I want you to promise me two things." I said to her,
"What are they, my Lady?" She asked, curiously as she wiped the tears off her face with her hand.
"First of all, call me by my name and secondly, don't ever mention that night again. You hear me?" I asked.
"Yes my….. Eunice." She said and nodded at the same time.
.
"As you wish my Lady," said Lizzy.
"How did you both find our hideout?" Lizzy asked Genevieve.
"It was Raymond's idea. He found me first. He was even thinking that I was already with you guys, but he came to search for me still." Lizzy explained to us.
"Okay." I said"Do not worry, nothing happened between us, we only met yesterday." She said to me,
"I will not dare to take him away from you. He has already told me everything." She added.
"What's everything?" I asked Genevieve.
"That you are both engaged. He said he must find you and protect you. He wants to be with you until the end." She replied to me, while I smiled back.
"What about his family?" I asked her.
"He said they are fine. I guess you are more important to him for now." She said to me,
"He really loves you. He wouldn't stop talking about you throughout our trip to find you." She added, smiling at me.
