"I really do not know, but it feels very different from all your other lives." My guardian angel said to me.
"How?" I asked curiously, even if I don't even know what she means.
"It's just like your very first life. Your life on this one looks like it's going to be very long." She replied.
"Okay, so?" I asked, as I was still not getting what she meant.
"Let me just spill it out, you are a vampire." She replied with a frown, walking around the room.
"I already know, but why am I not like other vamps, like red eyes, sun sensitive skin, long tongue and ugly wings." I said to her,
"Why am I not having those?" I asked curiously.
"It's because you don't need them now." She replied to me and sat down again in the chair she was sitting on before.
"Why don't I need them?" I asked her.
"Because you won't be using them." She replied in a calm tone,as she returned the wand to wherever she brought it out in the first place, but it's like an invisible bag.
"But, do I have them, like right now?"I asked curiously.
She nodded and said,
"Yes, you do." She replied.
" So, why can't I feel or see them?" I asked.
"Because they are inside you, they are just like every other part of your body." She replied.
"Can you make me feel and see them, please?"I pleaded.
"Oh!"
"You want to feel and see them, are you sure about this?" She asked, she seemed a bit concerned.
"Yes."
"Why?" I asked.
"Nothing, but be aware that it will hurt a little." She said and stood up,as she reached for the wand again.
"Are you ready?" She asked and laughed softly.
"You won't believe me if I tell you I was born for this." I replied to her.
"Okay." She said and nodded at the same time.
She waved, no, circled her wand in the air,or both, but nothing happened.
"Oh!"
"I forgot. You have got to shut your eyes. It's gonna hurt like hell." She warned and then I didn't know what else she did, but as for me, everything went blank.
Just then, all my body became sore, my eyes, my mouth, my ears, my fingertips, my toes, my back and my butt.
The pain was just everywhere, it was supposed to be unbearable, but somehow I was able to bear all the pain, it was as if I was being pricked all over my body.
Just then again, All the pains I was feeling all over my body were all gone now, except the little discomforts I was feeling.
I opened my eyes and saw my guardian angel staring at me awkwardly, as if I peed on myself.
Just then, she busted out laughing uncontrollably that she almost puked and stood up, still giggling and grinning at me.
"What's funny?" I asked curiously.
"Oh, you don't know yet." She said, as she waved her band in the air and a mirror that was hanging in the air appeared.
I was amazed by the sight of it, that I ran my arm beneath the mirror to see if anything was holding it, but alas, there was nothing holding it.
"What sort of sorcery is this?" I asked.
"It's not any kind of sorcery, I am your guardian angel." She said, smiling at me.
I shrugged and said,
"Okay if you say so."
"Now look at your reflection." She ordered, I walked closer to the mirror, but it was higher than my head.
"Remember, I am supposed to be the shortest girl alive." I said to her and rolled my eyes.
"Just look at your reflection already." She ordered again.
She didn't get me, I have to make her understand.
"Can you please lower the mirror?" I pleaded.
"Oh!"
"I am so sorry." She apologized and waved her wand at the mirror and lowered it.
I walked closer to it again and saw a pretty, but scary creature.
A vampire.
I was having some pretty visible sharp fangs, really pointy ears, long fingernails and toenails, a tail and a pair of wings that looked like that of a bat.
"Ah!" I exclaimed, screaming and lost my balance, falling down to the floor.
"What?" She asked, grinning at me.
I pointed at the mirror above my head and asked her,
"What was that?"
"Was that me?" I asked again.
"Yes." She replied, as she walked towards me and stood in front of me.
"Is that how I look?" I asked her.
She nodded and replied to me,
"That's how you will look when you will need everything."
"What do you mean?" I asked, as I raised up my face to see hers.
"It's you and not you at the same time." She replied to me and stretched out her hand in front of me.
I held onto it and stood up.
"What do you mean?" I asked the very moment I was on my feet again.
"It's you when you choose to be a vampire and it's not you when you choose to be human and modern." She said and walked towards the mirror and stood in front of it, admiring her graceful self.
I didn't know what to say, so I just shrugged.
She returned her wand into her invisible bag and brought out a golden hair brush.
She began to brush her hair.
"How do I look?" She asked when she was done, as she turned to face me.
"You always look great." I replied to her.
"Come over here." She said to me, smiling.
I did, she made way for me to stand in front of the mirror and stood beside me.
I was still looking at her, as I was too scared to look into the mirror, she shrugged to push me slightly and placed an arm around my shoulders
"Now look in the mirror and tell me what you see." She said to me, smiling.
"I see a vampire." I replied to her.
"No."
"Point of correction, you just saw yourself, your very true self for the very first time." She said, as she removed her arm around my shoulders and stood behind me.
"My true self?"
"So who have I been seeing?" I asked.
"That's your body, your container." She replied,as she began to brush my hair.
She brought out her wand and waved it and a dressing chair appeared, she sat me down on it and continued to brush my hair.
"My container?" I asked.
"I don't understand any of these things you just said. You speak in proverb, please can you make me understand." I asked politely.
"Your human body is just …. Okay, let's put it like this, your body, the Lady Eunice everyone knows and sees is like a container,a bottle of water while your true self, your soul, who you truly are is like the content of the bottle which is the water." She explained.
"I think I understand that, or maybe not." I replied and shrugged.
"A vampire is what you truly are, you haven't known because you haven't needed it." She said,
"I am not in a movie." I said and laughed softly.
She sighed and continued,
"You don't need to be an actor or an actress to be your true self, you are not supposed to pretend to be who you are not."
"You have been your Lady Eunice all your life, but you haven't been your true self. It's because you haven't needed it.
"You have been the secret admirer of J.J, the best friend of Lizzy, the grandchild of your Nanni and the daughter of your mother, but there's one thing you have never been." She added.
"I am not yet a doctor or J.J's wife." I said and rolled my eyes.
"No, it's neither of those." She replied, as she returned the hairbrush into her invisible bag and brought out a makeup brush.
"So, what is it?" I asked.
"Close your eyes." She ordered, I obeyed and she began her magical makeup.
"You have never been your father's daughter." She said,
"My father's daughter?" I asked.
"Mmm."
"I don't even know him, I don't even know how he looks." I replied.
"I know, but he needs you to be his daughter." She said,
"So, who is he?" I asked.
"That will be for next time." She said to me,
"Next time?"
"I want you to tell me now." I said to her,
"No." She replied boldly.
"You can open your eyes." She ordered.
"Why?" I asked.
She ignored my question and ordered,
"Stand up and look into the mirror again."
I did, I wasn't scared anymore, I became very beautiful and very attractive with blue - green hair.
"Wow. I am very beautiful, but this isn't what vampires wear." I complained.
"Stand still." She ordered, as she waved her wand in the air again and then pointed it at me.
There was sparkle powder everywhere, when everything went down, my clothes changed to a deep blue and pepper red sleeveless gown and some matching long gloves with a piece of jasper and extra black material, net trousers and matching knee high shoes.
"Look into the mirror again." She ordered.
I did, she walked towards me and stood behind me again and placed the silver tiara she was wearing on my head.
It has two big jaspals and many tiny diamonds.
"Can I keep this?" I asked excitedly and she nodded.
"It's one of my favorites, but you can keep it. I own thousands of tiaras." She replied and smiled at me.
"For real?" I asked her again for confirmation and she just nodded without saying anything.
"Wait there is something missing. I will bring it next time." She said,
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"A neck band and some more jaspals, I am out of jaspals, I didn't bring enough." She said sadly.
"And a mascara, your lashes look as if you cut them off. Did you?" She asked.
I didn't say anything, I just shook my head.
"How about some earrings, I haven't worn any ever since I resurrected."
"I will bring some sapphire earrings next time then."
"Thanks." I said, smiling at her.
"You are always welcome." She said and waved her wand at the mirror and the dressing chair and they disappeared.
"I want to take my leave now, you have slept for too long. You have to go back now." She said,.as she returned to the rocking chair.
"But I still have a lot of things to talk to you about, I was just getting started." I confronted her.
"Same here, I also have a lot of things to say to you too." She said angrily, as she waved her wand at me and everything disappeared, my tail, wings and the new
clothes, including the tiara and returned to my former clothes, the one I was wearing when I fell asleep in real life.
"You are taking them back?" I asked.
"No, you don't need them now." She said to me,
"Please, can I ask you one real quick question?" I asked.
"Ummm…Yeah, sure." She replied and shrugged.
"Where are you going to leave me here?" I asked.
"No, you are going to use that door again." She said,as she was pointing at the door I came in with." She replied.
"No, that's not what I mean." I said to her,
"So, what do you mean?" She asked, looking at me with a frown, but was still gracious with her pretty face.
"The first time when you were leaving, were you really going to leave me here?" I asked.
"I still don't get you." She said with a frown.
"When you came in the form of my grandma, where are you going to leave me here?" I asked.
"Oh!"
"No." She said and shook her head at the same time.
