The demon world was a place that only had two kinds of weather, one was extreme summer and the other was winter which was so cold that it would curl the bones of the dead. And Damien who was a human could not withstand either of this weather, if not for Duke Vivi making some alterations to his genetic code, he might have really been burnt to a crisp.
" How far is that place?" He asked Lynch who had his hand stretched out and was pointing to the south of the forest. " My body is not as strong as you think it is, and I don't want to use my skill at the moment." The earring that Sierra gave her will double his strength in anything that he was good at, and since he ran away from a hell of a lot of troubles, he was good at marathon running as well but the thing was that he did not want to use the magic of earring right now.
The forest of the demon world was too dark and seemed dangerous, if he was to get stranded here then he wanted to make sure that he will not be lost without anything to fight back if he came face to face with a demonic beast.

No sooner did he say those words, the entire surrounding plunged as if something fell from a high surface and the entire place seemed to shudder under the impact of that thing. His entire body stumbled and he immediately caught hold of the tree that was next to him to avoid falling to the ground.
" What is going on…?" He muttered to himself as he suddenly saw Lynch go green-eyed as a mechanic voice echoed in his head.

Damien's eyes widened when he heard the consecutive information that was being echoed in his head. He looked at Lynch whose eyes have turned a bright green as he looked in front of them, his wings fluttering excitedly.
" Lynch?" He called the small demon who turned to look at him with a glint in his eyes.
" Master, in front of us is a level one grade ice leopard, you need to hunt this demonic beast down such that you be able to take his core out, if you were to win this duel against this beast then you will be able to raise your core strength if your core strength increases then you will be able to use magic!" Lynch told him rapidly with his eyes still shining. " This is a great opportunity you cannot miss this, master!"
Magic! He has only heard about magic in movies and fantasy novels, as the magicians who showed all sorts of magic tricks were nothing but skilled swindlers who knew how to use their hands quickly and effortlessly such that they will not be caught. But now Lynch was telling him that he will be able to use magic?

" Miss Sierra is a high-ranking demon, her skills and magic level are much higher than yours who does not even have a core," replied Lynch knowledgeably as if he was explaining to a child what one plus one was. " You will only get a level one core from this beast but if you continue like this then you will be able to level up your core strength to a hundred or more if your body can withstand the changes it might have to go through while transforming into a pure semi demon. Damien nodded as he turned his attention to where Lynch was looking, he was right. Rome was not built in one day and if he wanted to become a strong demon one who would be able to get out of this place and go back to his human world then he will have to work harder than this, with that thought in his head, he took the sword that was sitting inside its sheathe out and then waited for the ice leopard to appear.
No sooner did he take his sword out, he heard the sound of a leopard roaring followed by a girl's scream. He did not rush towards the sound of the scream, call him selfish but compared to him who was a human, the girl who grew up as a demon had a much stronger chance of surviving this which was why he looked at the dark hollow arch formed by the trees covering and entangled together.
" Help!" The scream rang again and this time a beautiful demon girl rushed out of the dark pit-like hollow.
