Chapter 8 - The weak girl

"Sorry?"

She looked into his eyes vulnerably as his grip around her wrist was hurting more, causing her to regret coming to him. It was painful.

"It's painful," she complained.

"I know! That's my reason for doing it to you. How stupid of you to…on my face. A face as handsome as this, Mia!!"

Gabriel had never felt her presence even though she was around him. Her existence just didn't matter to him and anyone who saw her could tell her status and she was nowhere close to meeting his social stratum but here she was acting all important!

"I said I'm sorry," Mia apologized, struggling to pull her hand out of his hold but his grip was too strong. "It's discomforting," she said and lifted her face to look into his eyes.

But her discomfort was satisfying him. He smiled at her misery and clasped her closer. Mia had used her second hand to push his hand off her wrist but he didn't let go. He was tall, strong and very healthy. Of course, she stood no chance.

"You don't know how fun it is to punish you for crossing the line." Blurting out, he pushed her hand eventually and watched her actions.

Mia took her hand to see how red it had turned. What did she do wrong? She only came to talk to him to stop embarrassing her.

People were insulting her and saying she used her body to impress him to make him her boyfriend and the more she told everyone that she didn't even know him, the more they accused her. She only knew his face but had never acknowledged him.

Her slim wrist began to throb, and her blood that had ceased to flow began to suffuse that area, causing it to itch.

"Did I do anything bad?" She looked up at him. She was poor, which was why she was treated in that manner. Mia hid her tears and faced him pathetically.

Gabe widened his smile. "Your saliva on my face makes it feel like I need plastic surgery done, it must have so many bacteria and viruses, and it might cause some sickness." He still hadn't wiped it off his face.

"You feel wronged?" She asked. "Then why did you lie to everyone that I'm in a relationship with you? Why will I want you? Because you are rich?" She asked.

"Well," he went back to sit only for his friends to grab Mia and bring her close to him. "I'm rich, yes. Handsome and I have everything. I even made you popular and here you are...with so much," he lowered his head to chuckle. "...pride," he finished. "Cute," he added.

After looking into his eyes, searching for something she knew she couldn't find, she came to the realization that it was a stupid idea to come and reason things with him as he was obviously stupid and so full of himself.

"Everyone thinks you are handsome but trust me you are not," she said with her eyebrows hanging up.

His expression was void of emotions. He only stared at her and breathed as if what she said meant nothing. They were seated at the tables while she stood between his friends. She couldn't leave unless he let her.

After a short period of silence, he spoke.

"I don't trust you but get this into your head because whether you like it or not, you are mine" Still, with that expression, he said.

Mia grimaced but was speechless.

"Then what are you to me?"

"..." He looked into her eyes for a while. She had dark eyes and a pitiful face. She looked hungry and weak but beautiful and sexy.

"Leave," he said and turned to his guitar.

His friends freed the way. "You might think I'm weak but I'm not," she said, not leaving when she should.

"Really?" Gabe asked, turning to face her again. "Really?" He repeated with a mischievous smirk. Then he looked at his friends.

As if they spoke through their eyes, his friends took their moves on her.

Mia, who stated that she wasn't weak felt this force taken on her by his friends. They pushed her.

Mia hadn't eaten since she woke up, thus, she was exhausted. Her sister didn't reach home last night, causing her to ponder what she'd eat when she got home. Those conditions had been bothering her only for the rich boy to make it worse for her.

Mia watched herself reach for the ground as the force they applied on her was strong but she, fortunately, didn't contact with the floor because Gabe had caught her by her shoulders. His strong hands broke her fall and harshly pushed her back to her feet.

But instead, she fell on her butt. Mia became speechless, so she didn't look up at them. She just stared at the ground and listened to their laughter.

"Weak is the word to explain your reaction to this," Gabe slapped her with the truth. "So what are you saying, Mia?" He teased her more. After a long silence, he tilted his head watching her breathe with her head down. "If you are speechless, girlfriend, leave."

"Why?" She spoke. "You don't like me, why are you telling everyone that... I'm... your...girl-friend?"

Gabe waited for her to look at him and when she did, he glanced at his friends only to smile and scratch his temple with his index finger.

"You'll know why..." Staring into her eyes, he uttered, "Because you are beautiful."

And immediately he let that out, she felt this urge to slap his face hard and punch him as much as she wanted but she wasn't powerful.

If anything happens to him, she might get expelled and her teachers had informed her that she could get a free education at university. A scholarship and she was chasing it. No one would bring her down so it better she ignored his action.

Mia rose to her feet and dust her short skirt before glancing at Gabe as if telling him she'd be back.

With that, she departed from the room defeated but it wasn't the end, she told herself.

Gabe stared at his friends and grimaced his face. "Do you see this?" He asked, pointing at the liquid that caused this ticklish yet irritating feeling on his face and all over his body.

"I feel like throwing up," he groaned, staring at the exit she went through. He was going to play her until she fell deeply in love with him and then break her heart mercilessly. It wasn't the first time he had done it but she was the first girl to not fall for his charm and she'd pay greatly for that.
