Chapter 6 – Buying the stuff
"Hey, Richard, are you sure you've delivered the letter from the master to her?"
"Do you think I'm the type of person who would neglect such an important job?" she replied while showing a displeased expression.
"No, that's not what I meant. But the lady is there."
"You'd better tell him again because then… that's your job." He continued, trying not to trigger his anger.
He could not dodge the order and then entered the room.
[Knock…knock] Adelia, who heard a knock on the door, jumped into her seat. She greeted the maid, who was reluctant to enter.
"Fortunately, you have arrived," Adelia greeted warmly, her hands ready to hold the tasks she had to do.
"Thank you for the welcome, Ms. But I want to ask why you are here now?"
His words amused Adelia.
"Of course, I want to work today."
"There seems to be a misunderstanding between us."
"Didn't I already give you an envelope?"
Adelia remembered the letter the man gave her yesterday, and she immediately moved to her desk, which had been arranged neatly.
"I'm sorry, I forgot that the work I had to do was here." Without waiting for a long time, she tore through the barrier.
[Good evening Adelia Thomson, our company starting today, will implement a night work system beginning at 9 pm on May 23. I hope you rest well until we meet again tomorrow. Managers]
The feeling in his head made him want to explode. Tired mornings and exhausting activities have drained all energy. She tried to throw those damn papers and throw a tantrum.
' Shit!Shit! Damn it!' the maid left Adelia and didn't want to get into emotional trouble with anyone else. She repeatedly hit her head on the wall, and another piece of paper fell from the table.
[Salary calculation for Adeliaia Thomson as of May 22, $1000 per day] Seeing that promising figure made Adeliaia lose consciousness. She laughed heartily and began to forget the pain that morning.
She danced around the room like someone who had just won a cash lottery.
"This way, I can buy the things I need every day. Sorry, sorry, sorry for thinking such nonsense about you, sir."
Adelia banged on the door loudly, squandering precious rest time, and came like an idiot at work. Remembering the expressions of the maids who saw her leave made her reluctant to go to work that evening.
There was a sudden feeling like a clown tonight, a flushed face that was very difficult to control. The overflowing emotions made him want to destroy the entire apartment, screaming so loud that the neighbors who lived next door heard a braying sound.
"This is not the time to be wailing like this, and I have to buy food supplies for the next few days."
The pattern of life that will soon change drastically forces him to live an entirely different daily life. After changing into formal clothes, she put all her things away without tidying them up.
The neighbors peeked through the door as she came out, looks she could already imagine before, and she tried to ignore them. With a hoodie jacket while looking at the cellphone where to go.
She was Planning to buy the closest one and still had to drive a bus or taxi.
"Hey, Adele." A very familiar greeting directs his gaze forward.
"Oh, hi. What are you doing here?"
"Aren't you working?" asked Adelia.
Farkas smiled upon hearing his words which seemed surprised by his existence.
[Hahaha] "You know that I'm one of the leaders of a fairly well-known company."
"If you're right like that, bring a luxury car and treat your best friend to something classy."
Hearing the word 'friend,' Farkas gave a wry expression. But Adelia didn't realize it. They talked for a while, and he wanted to accompany Adelia.
Because she was bored and still had found no friends she had known during her new four years, she did not refuse Farkas' good wishes who wanted to accompany her—talking about why Adelia moved to a new city. She is not the type who will go out of town.
She has never taken part in events held since childhood at school. Even for fun tourism, if it weren't for Farkas, who paid for such a trip. Adelia wouldn't want to go.
They got off at a sizable shopping mall marked 'Type Here' that glowed even during the day. The place displayed a large banner that read promo prices with attractive discounts.
"Why are you shopping so much?"
"I've found a job that digs for treasure," Adelia replied, shaking the can of chips in her hands.
Seeing the quite interesting response from his peers, he also felt happy. Farkas also put down some of Adelia's favorite foods and put them in the basket. She was glad that her friend had helped.
After paying for the needed items, Adelia thought she was shopping a little, which differed from what she thought. Even though Farkas had helped her carry the big things, her entire hand wouldn't be strong enough to reach the apartment and bring her to the bedroom.
Moreover, the elevator was suddenly repaired, and the additional decorations were. Instantly Adelia was crying on the sidewalk.
"Ha, how is it? Though I intend to treat you after this."
"Relax, we can still party in your room."
Farkas stopped a taxi that was passing there, assisted by the driver in putting the groceries in the trunk, and they got into the painted yellow car.
"It's great you got a job like that," Farkas said, comforting Adelia.
She looked at her watch, and it was 5.45 pm.
"Oh yes, thank you," Adelia answered succinctly. There wasn't much talk going on during their journey. Farkas helped Adelia arrive at her residence, and she would also be in trouble carrying many things.
He took some things that Adelia had brought, and she didn't seem to mind just smiled back and said, thank you for helping so far. People were busy passing by, and there was a reasonably big project being carried out by the apartment.
