Chapter 7 - Family Gathering
He took some things that Adelia had brought, and she didn't seem to mind just smiled back and said, thank you for helping so far. People were busy passing by, and there was a reasonably large project being carried out by the apartment.
They recycle the dark place to be fun, change the paint on the walls, and even decorate some hallways with ornamental plants like a five-star hotel.
"Madam, are we going to have an important person like a king from another country come?" asked Adelia, who was very curious about the massive change.
The middle-aged woman, who was busy cooling herself by using a fan, replied, "I heard someone had already bought this furry apartment, and they suddenly came here. Just ask the workers there."
She, who was sitting with several workers, laughed at Adelia's simple response.
"What's the matter with you, Farkas?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Come on, and we should celebrate as soon as we agree." He answered while pulling Adelia's hand. She panted up quite a lot of stairs because she chose a floor far enough from the street.
After seeing a familiar door, she wanted to rush in and told Farkas to enter.
"Your bad habits haven't changed at all." In comparison, shifting the underwear hanging on the dining table.
"I'm sorry, I've been in a hurry since earlier."
They cleaned the room and prepared the dishes to be enjoyed. Even Farkas ordered food for Adelia. She tried to finish as fast as possible as best as possible, and there was no time left before going to work later.
Farkas arranged the dining table with many dishes for Adelia's small party. She looked starving for a small-sized woman and almost finished half of it. Don't forget to drink a little alcohol to wake him up.
"What about your co-workers there?"
"I think I work alone there," Adelia answered, peeling an apple.
"What did you do to get a big salary, as you said earlier?"
Catching the conversation, Adelia wanted to tease him a little. Farkas's face seemed to hide something, expressing her interest.
"Do you want me to put you in there too?" he was so happy to hear his words.
"But honey, I'm also just on probation."
"Oh bad, it's already this hour. I must hurry."
Farkas looked at Adelia, who was busy preparing herself. She was very impressed with her friend and intended to take her to work. She insists on rejecting Farkas' kindness and doesn't want to trouble you twice in one day.
Given the terrain that will be passed, it is also quite difficult for foreigners and newcomers like Farkas to visit. A job that feels like playing at home but has a high salary for someone unfamiliar with the company's work system will surely raise glaring suspicions.
Work at night, if not official, or work related to the dark. He is also curious about the place of work, as told by Adelia, and making sure the path is safe.
Adelia repeatedly reassured the man that she was okay.
"Do you need me to call a taxi to go to your work?" Farkas said. He saw Adelia looking around in a hurry.
"Oh, there's no need." The answer was not long after. A white limousine stopped right in front of them, standing. A middle-aged man came out from there.
She followed the service. Farkas could only stare. Anyone would find it difficult to accept that the people there must have been wondering about Adelia's status.
This would be soft material for the thugs who saw Adele's current state, knowing she lived in a not-so-famous apartment. She looked up at Farkas at the window.
"It's okay, Farkas, and sorry I haven't told you about this yet."
"But, this is too much. You could be in danger."
"Don't worry. After receiving my first salary, I will look for a place closer than now." Adelia put on a lovely face Farkas.
Seeing the girl's cheerfulness, he couldn't resist or stop her. He hopes Adelia will be refined later. She waved her hand, as did Farkas. Adelia immediately fell asleep after a while, entering the car that was driving on the road.
"Miss, we have arrived." The sound of the speaker woke Adelia, who was sleeping soundly. She slightly stretched her stiff body.
Another maid opened the door from the car, the door to her workplace wide open. Waiting for his arrival from afar, piles of white were neatly lined up on his desk. This time there were far more of them than before.
The maid also welcomed Adelia into the room, preparing a meal that might help to not sleep at night.
"Thank you very much." Take a cup of still-steaming milk coffee. She is busy starting her new life there.
In another large room, there is a large table which is the center point of the place, and only a little lighting. People were gathering there, only ten people.
Each of them held a red glass and luxury stick as a meal that felt very classy, just by looking at each other as if communicating with each other, the sound of the clinking of ceramics and cutlery that decorated the place.
A man who sat as head of the dinner gave the signal. All the maids and employees left the place.
[Ehem]
"How will it go next?" the old man covered in gray hair spoke.
"Which of us will continue this lineage?" the atmosphere suddenly became tense and still.
He stood up from his seat, looking at the window. The moon was shining perfectly. A bunch of flying bats wanted to come in and join in, but because it was closed, they could only tap on the glass.
Others seemed indifferent to the conversation.
"What do you want the old man to be like?" he said, playing with the few remaining glasses.
Hearing the insult, he wanted to tear his body apart with the fangs that had appeared across his lips. But he can hold it well.
"I don't want to get married." The answer led the other members to look at him.
"What do female vampires expect?" said another.
"Brother Cedric!" he said, looking at the only one standing there.
