Chapter 12 - Trying to escape

After they left there, Adelia tried to reach for the clothes she was wearing, but it turned out that the thing she was looking for was not there. Intrinsically, she was not holding it.

'Damn, how reckless I was.'

Without waiting for long, she crawled opposite the place, trying not to pass by the air-ventilated area. Currently, she feels like she is not in the story as a secret agent who can hack somewhere to break into essential documents.

She just wanted to survive and get away from that terrible place. After walking around the area for about a few minutes, she found the tip of the vent glowing, hoping it wasn't heading straight for their base.

Before kicking the banded iron hard, she tried to look around and hear what she could find there. Squinting her eyes, she saw the sun about to set in the ocean. How happy Adelia was when she discovered it was a way out.

But she also has to think that the place's current position is a tall building. There was no time to wonder if she could get out without trying. Luckily, the hinges are brittle and rusty, shaking the iron repeatedly and making it easy to remove without being noticed.

She turned out to be on the pier far from the hotel. The distance from the ground was about 30 meters. Adelia didn't dare to jump unless she was tired of living. Finding something to use on the top, Adelia took off the belt on her shirt.

'God help me, I know there are many sins, but I am not a worthy girl and fought over as a hostage of rich people.' While throwing a strut on one try, the throw hit the target.

There are few opportunities that can be used, and she can only use one jump. Adelia climbed up with her bare feet and climbed the tall building there. The rope showed its powerlessness, forcing Adelia to speed up her movement.

The gasping breath and the pain in the legs let out a lot of streaks of blood. Deciding to rest for a while was rather heartbreaking for her condition. She looked around and took the rope that had saved her life.

"It's the only old building here. I feel like an eagle will soon eat a rat in the desert."

Behind the building was a staircase, and the wind made his clothes almost slip off his body. Keeping the ropes that might be useful in all places, Adelia descended the stairs sizing up the windows as she descended the stairs.

She would come down the stairs from below every time she passed the window, hanging like a monkey. Adelia's life now is not for modeling. He is very grateful as long as she can live and get out of that place. One of them pulled a cigarette butt out of the window and hit Adelia. But she was trying hard to hold it because possible.

Adelia crossed all the stairs without being noticed and ran with all her might into the forest.

"She ran away, bastard!" Adelia heard her scream. She looked back and saw his face. The same person gave him the cigarette butt earlier. She learned that to survive, not to look back.

They were driving a jeep after he and gunshots were heard from the vehicle.

'What exactly is wrong with me? Have I committed a grave sin to come to this?'

'Even though I've hurt no one, not even that bastard yet.' Tears welled up at this moment. The sadness and the cheap life to kill made her legs weak and helpless. She wanted to give up and surrender herself to behind.

But instinct never lies. Adelia feels the suffocating life in her neck if she intends to give up. The speed at which they entered the forest left them speechless.

"Quickly search this place." They came out scattered and scattered. Torn clothes and scratched skin are tasteless. Even the feet that leave traces don't count anymore.

Night had already entered circulation. Adelia found no sign of their pursuit. She rested for a while and must be sure they had all the equipment to catch her, hoping there were no jungle traps.

She walked through the thickets, accompanied by insects that were faithful to cling to her during her escape. Cold, wet, and helpless. Adelia did not want to give up her life and found a place to rest around the cave.

But she didn't want to go into that place because it might already have occupants, and it could also be used as a trap to get them to enter the dark and unfamiliar room there. While preparing leaves that can rest, Adelia also made a blanket to cover her body.

She was hungry and helpless; everything there felt foreign. Adelia even found a wriggling coconut caterpillar to fill the emptiness of her stomach. Imagine that it's the only food she can see right now.

Wood trunks that have been brittle and wet store a lot of protein to help them survive. The place that will be used for a mini night's sleep is near the water source, but unfortunately, the site looks sunny and has a small waterfall that can take anyone to another world.

As Adelia tried to close her eyes, she heard a loud noise coming toward her. A bear was sniffing the smell in the air, and it turned out to be the residence of the giant creature.

Adelia suppressed her voice and wanted the sleepiness that had attacked her to turn into a gripping fear. How could the 3-meter-sized beast not be standing in front of her? Luckily, the bushes covered the body and leaves that she made.

She remembered her wedding that night was destroyed. Adelia always felt that her life had been on the verge of death since that incident.
