Chapter 3 - Working with strange people
The lousy memory she saw yesterday made Adelia almost fall, sitting down at that moment.
"Hold on. Maybe I'm just tired." He said, trying to comfort himself.
The number of the elevator still shows the number 4, hoping someone will enter. Without much thought, Adelia noticed her surroundings. She found a surveillance camera installed there. It made him feel wholly displeased.
'It's useless to catch this person if he has already managed to kill me.'
'Calm down. What am I doing? There's no way that person would be here right now.'
She tried to pinch the thigh repeatedly, unable to contain the fear of death only a foot away.
'Calm down,..calm down.'
Finally, the door rang and opened, she wanted to run away from there, but she couldn't do this embarrassing thing in front of that important person. Adelia tried to dispel her negative thoughts. A group of people dressed neatly and in black greeted him in the parking lot.
Why don't people like that come out where they belong? A guard brought two clothes, a coat and a thick jacket to wear. Wearing such thick clothes in this weather made Adelia hesitant to follow suit.
Like magic that caught his attention, she immediately followed the mysterious figure.
"What is this?" Asked the young man waiting for Adelia, who was still standing at the car door.
"It seems that she is reluctant to come in, sir." Answer the private driver.
"Tell her if she doesn't want to go up, she can take the next car."
"Yes, sir."
One of them came down and delivered according to his orders. With a heavy heart, Adelia finally got into the same car. Sweat dripping and hands that feel cold trying to be controlled by him. Her last chance before the car eventually drove into an unfamiliar place. Her throat felt like it was constricting. Adelia couldn't even make a sound.
They arrived at a mansion on the hill and came down to welcome him. The red carpet was also spread out. Adelia felt strange when she first saw the luxurious building, even though gardens and beautiful scenery surrounded it.
"If she doesn't want to come in to do her new job, herd the girl behind the house."
"Don't forget to lock all the exits in this territory."
"Yes, sir."
Two servants came to Adelia and took her to her destination.
'Come on, move your feet. Leave this place before it's too late.'
'Create the classic excuse that your parents suddenly called and got sick.'
Adelia reached into her pocket to take out her cell phone, but she saw that the signal wasn't there.
"I'm not feeling well. Can I go to the hospital?"
"I left my things at home anyway."
"I'm sorry, but you cannot leave here before completing the assigned task. We have also prepared a special room for you to work in now."
"Let's send." said another.
They entered a simple house with large windows that directly could see the corner of the city. A work desk and a pile of files had piled up. The two maids provided the necessary items and ordered Adelia to finish the papers as soon as possible.
The relief when she saw the work that had to be done decreased her alertness. Unlike what has been imagined, a comfortable seat and a good view can relax tense muscles during the trip.
'I've heard some people are reluctant to hire their employees in one place with another.'
'Perhaps they uphold unnecessary relationships.'
After serving the dishes, they left him alone, and Adelia did her job well.

[Ctaar… plaak… plaaak]
"What about him?" while smoothing hair covered in sweat.
"Still the same as the girls before." replied a servant while looking at the body of the hanged person. His body was covered with scars and cuts.
"Good then, keep an eye on her not to act like the others."
"Otherwise, you will be her replacement after I finish later."
"Yes, sir." The maid left the dark and stuffy place there. The person being served is now resting and smoking a freshly lit cigarette.
[Knock... Knock]
"Please come in."
Another waiter entered the study, and a place neatly arranged to make anyone feel at home to linger there. While carrying a tray, he also uses special white gloves to take it.
With great respect, he handed over the luggage he was carrying. Adelia welcomed the welcome with enthusiasm without forgetting the task given. The piled-up files and papers were enough to overwhelm the girl on the first day of work.
"Thank you very much." She Sees a beautiful cup placed on his desk while giving a smile. Even though he didn't see it, she didn't want to leave an arrogant impression at her new job.
"You're welcome, miss." Reply.
"What's this?" Adelia asked, noticing an envelope was also placed next to her. She thought it was a pile of hidden tasks. Before he had time to ask this, the servant left Adelia alone.
[Huft…] She wanted to open the white bend. Seeing the work that was still piling up, she chose to postpone it for a while.
'Come on, finish this and hurry home,'
"Before that, I want to enjoy the dish that has been bothering me so much for a long time." Slowly she enjoyed the meal provided. She returned to work until the late afternoon.
The old clock on the wall that chimed once every hour woke him up. The hands of clock showed 5 pm. Adelia stood up from her seat. Seeing that the cup was empty, she started looking for something to refresh her mind.
No wonder the mountain of paper soared up was already clean on his desk. Adelia was known as the goddess of typing hands in her former workplace. They often delegated work to him when he first entered the branch company.
The sun made the room orange, and she didn't realize there was a refrigerator. Adelia soon rushed there.
"I've finally found you." His happy face made the tiring work disappear instantly. She found a line full of cold water. Without hesitation, she opened it and wanted to drink it immediately.
