The moment I open my eyes, all I could see was darkness. I was definitely sure that I opened my eyes and didn't mistake it for something other than that. Besides the darkness I'm seeing, my entire body felt heavy. I couldn't really move much. It felt like I was buried alive. I tried flailing around whatever was slowing me down and discovered that it was something metallic. Knowing that it is metallic in some way, I was confident that I could force myself to get out of this mess. Once I shake around for a moment, I finally see a small hint of light from the end of my vision. It wasn't far from me so I quickly try to dig it out. Then I realize that I was actually climbing up. I still don't what the heck am I climbing on but I'm certain that it isn't a pile of body considering that it doesn't smell like rotten flesh at all. But then again, I never know what a death person would smell like let alone a pile of them.
Once I finally reached the light, I dug myself out and finally saw the sky. It wasn't a bright blue sky however. It was dark and heavy. It felt like something huge just happened but I couldn't recall what it was. I stood up and finally saw what I was buried under. It was a bunch of metallic junks. Most of it were shields, armors as well as swords. I'm surprised I wasn't stabbed or slashed while I was digging myself out of that mess. But seeing all of that made me thought what happened there. It felt like a huge battle just happened except that there was no body at all.
"What's going on here..." I scratched my head in confusion as continued to look around.
Without any other direction to go, I made my first move to get out of the pile of metals. As I was on my way of getting out of there, I tripped myself and rolled down a hill made of metal. With luck, I managed to roll down the makeshift hill safely without any injuries. I tried getting and then it was at that time where I finally heard another life.
"There you are, Lord..." It was a feminine voice that I'm very familiar with.
I looked at her and saw a blonde lady in an armored dress. She was holding a small fan at her hand as she fans herself from the heat of the area.
"I've been looking for you. Thank goodness you are still alive, Lord White."
"Lord White? Who are you supposed to be?" I was completely confused.
The woman sighed and said, "Oh jeez. That attack isn't suppose to give you this much of a damage is it? There's no way you end up forgetting everything that just happened don't you? Don't you even know your leader?"
"Leader? Are you suppose to be that? But...I'm confused."
"Do I have to repeat myself again, Lord White?" She sighed and told me, "Very well. In case you have forgotten about me, I am Empress Yumiko. The Empress of The Violet Empire!"
And there she was, standing proudly with her fan in hand. Despite Empress Yumiko proclaiming herself as an Empress right before me, I still couldn't fathom myself of whatever I was witnessing.
"You still look confused...Don't tell me you don't even remember what really is going on right? There's no way the Chaos Champion have finally gotten you after all this time."
"Chaos Champion?" Even that word seems to glide through my memory.
The Empress then sat on top of a rock and sighed, "That can't be...I thought Violet secured him as well..." she whispered to herself.
After thinking hard enough, I think I could recall a little but I still couldn't get a clear reading about the situation I'm in.
Then I said to her, "You said that I'm a lord...and I am under you. But why do I feel like that's all a fabrication?"
The Empress then laughed and said, "Thank goodness you are fine. Here I thought I lost you completely, White."
"Can you tell me what's going on, Yumiko?"
"That's your excellency, Lord White."
"I'm sorry, your excellency..." I corrected myself.
The Empress then looks around and said to herself, "Well considering the battle here is kinda done thanks to your help...I guess we can have a talk. But it'll be a long one, I bet. It depends on how much you might remember back."
"Try me..." I said to her.
She gently smirked, "Very well. Spoken like a true Lord."
The Empress positions herself and begin her story, "You are correct. You aren't really a Lord but you are a Lord now. You and I both are actually just a normal university students actually. We both came from the same academy. Infinity Academy. What leads us here? I'll tell you from the start of the semester I guess..."
And so, Empress Yumiko begins her story...
