Ultimately, White would eventually agree to help Sam in her class's competition but before that whole ordeal begin, White decided to give it a thought. He told Sam that he will give an answer at a different time. Sam was not delighted to hear that at all. She couldn't really turn it back as she has already brought White into this mess. So she gave White until the following week before he could make a decision. With that being said, White was immediately fall under the spell of Sam's Absolute Order and was brought out of the undisclosed area. The next thing he could recall about these was that he was sitting on those stone tables around the middle of the campus.
"Woah...what happened?" White expressed his confusion. "Wait...Sam was it...Whatever."
Much to his surprise, Sam was no longer with him but instead, his little girl friend, Zenith was sitting across of him at the stone table.
"Zenith...how long have you been there?" asked White.
Zenith replied, "Not that long really, about 10 minutes or something. I just had lunch."
"You did, huh? Well sorry about what just happened."
She slowly shakers her head and told him, "No, I understand. It was an important business right? It's not like Sam was using you for her own benefits, right?"
Zenith was sounding like she was nagging but White couldn't really tell that especially when he barely got out of Sam's spell.
"Her own benefits? I don't know about that but she's definitely something alright." White puts both of his hands to the back of his head as he said that.
Zenith then raised one of her eyebrows and said, "Something? What are you talking about? You better choose your word carefully, White."
"What? What's wrong? Did I offend you?"
Out of the blue, a familiar laugh looms in the horizon as she calm the situation between the couple. It was me, Yumiko. I arrived just in time to interrupt the two love birds quarrel.
"My, my, what do we have here?" I happily greeted them.
"Yumiko!" Zenith excitedly replied. She got up and hugged me.
Much to anyone surprise, I hugged her back as if we were best friend. I guess we are best friend as a matter of fact.
"When did you two got this close?" White was curious.
To which I replied, "Are you jealous of us?" I chuckled at him. "What seems to be the problem here."
Zenith then told me, "Listen here, Yumiko. Half an hour ago, Sam decided that she could just steal White away and that she did. Plus, White let himself be under control of her spell. Isn't that horrible of him?"
"Hey! What about my side of the story?" objected White.
"He's right, Zenny. There must be a reason that bitch asked for him. Isn't that right?"
White then began explaining what exactly happened. Minus The Virtual Dive stuff of course. He couldn't really tell that to her because that is classified for now. He might get blasted if he ever disclose it now.
Zenith then sighed, "Oh well." She crossed her arms and made a slight grumpy face as she sat down on the stone bench.
White however made an annoyed look as he told her, "Come on, Zen. I didn't do anything yet. All I need to do now is decide whether to help them or not."
"He's right, Zenny." I assured her, "We need him for our class's stupid competition."
Zenith continues to be grumpy.
Then I told her, "I tell you what, Zenny. How about I buy you some delicious yogurt? You want that?"
Her frown then turned upside down as she jumped for joy, "Definitely!"
"Alright then, I'll get in a bit." I waved off momentarily and quickly whispered to White, "Fix up. Now."
White gently nodded as I made my way to the store nearby. While I was doing that, White has been tasked to reconcile with Zenith. If he fail, he knows what's best for him.
White sighed, "Listen, Zen. I'm not trying to be unfair to you. I know you can be a bit clingy at times..."
"Excuse me? Clingy?" Zenith was berated once again.
"Wrong choice there, pal." He whispered to himself. "No! What I meant is that...you can be a bit...lovely at times...Yes! Lovely. I like that really. It's just that..."
"What is it?"
"I...I need some space as well..."
"Don't you have enough space already, White?" she raised her eyebrows.
"Okay, I get what your trying to say. And no, I am not having fun with another woman, trust me. You don't seem to mind when I was with Lala. Why is that though?"
"Because I trust her. I don't trust you being with Sam. Especially when she is far surpassing me in terms of everything."
"Everything?" White was confused.
"Everything!" She suddenly hugs herself.
She was probably also implying her body according to what White had recalled.
To which White told her, "What are you talking about Zen? You are fine as you are. There's no one else like you in this world and there's no way I'm letting go something as rare as you. You are one of a kind."
It caught her off guard once again just like what happened back in The Music Festival last semester. Before much can be said, I returned to finally see the situation has been calmed down. Good job, White.
"So White. Are you in or not?" I asked him.
White then looks at Zenith as if he was asking for permission from her.
Zenith sighed and allowed White, "Sure...and um...you told me that you get a week to answer right? Then...can you wait it out a bit?"
"Why? What's wrong?"
"Well...you see next week. Just hold it off for now okay, White?"
He nodded, "Okay...sure."
And with that a decision has been made. But before even that could go through, It seems that Zenith has something for White. Besides that however, the competition is upon us and it was also time for me to devise my own strategy as I waited for the following week.
