Chapter 688 - Chapter 686 Is she going to be fine?

As War God and the duo walked away from the arena. Amber and Margaret both wanted answers to their pending thoughts after hearing the conversation.

"Rex, do you believe that War God will be alright?" Amber asked.

Her anxious question caused Iris and Liz to both pay attention to the maids that have always traveled with them.

"Everything will be fine." Rex assured Amber.

Some tears began to swelling up in Amber's eyes. Rex gently pulled her in for a hug. Silent tears fell down and no one dared to pay attention.

"You alright?" Rex asked.

"Much better now." Amber said once the tears had stopped falling.

"Good." Rex replied and happily kissed her forehead.

Margaret came over next.

"I too wish to know why you would send the duo with War God. I also like War God very much." Margaret said.

"Well, she will eventually have to follow or lead others that I cannot always do. This is test to determine if she will pass. There will always be a risk to her life. At least here, she will have someone accompanying her." Rex replied.

Margaret remembered how the woman reacted. Yet, she could not think how the man reacted at all.

"Did the man seem too normal in that situation?" Margaret asked.

"He did." Rex replied.

Meanwhile

The man had gotten slightly ahead while War God and the woman both were slightly behind. Using a paper that she had already written on, War God motioned for the woman to look at.

The woman nodded in agreement. The man unknowingly had already fallen into a trap that is being laid by the women.

Due to her time close to Zahida and Georgiana. War God had gotten a little fairy friend from another world.

"Tell Master Rex this," War God whispered close to the fairy.

"Okay!" The fairy sounded cheerful.

It blended back in the surroundings and could not be detected by normal means within the Mortal or Demon Realms.

As the fairy flew through the air. It began humming a song of joy for her Master.

"Humm. Hummm. Hum. Hummm. Hum. Humm."

The humming causing life to spring upwards. Trees shifted closer to the fairy, grass grew a foot, food became abundant, and the beasts could fight much better.

Once the fairy arrived at the arena. It flew towards Rex who immediately noticed the shifts in the sky.

"Greetings Master Rex, my Master has asked me to send you this message." The fairy was proud of herself.

"Alright. I am listening."

"The man either has a hold on the woman's family or he has a way to ruin her family. However, he is already planning a way to kill either the woman or myself, if not both."

Rex deemed this worthy enough to try and cause a disturbance in their travels.

"Can you send a water droplet to watch over them?" Margaret asked Iris.

"We cannot watch them. It would be a record of what happened." Iris replied.

Margaret was saddened.

"Have no fear. I believe that I will just cause massive fires in hope of trying to stall for time." Liz replied.

"No." Rex said.

This caused everyone to turn to him.

"I have a few methods to try and stalk them myself. I will only attack if I deem it worthy enough to just one shot the man in his tries to kill what I am doing." Rex replied.

As the group recovered their anxiety. Their hopes on Rex greatly increased.

As he left, the fairy asked Rex, "Will my Master be alright?"

"Of course. I am going right now to be with her." Rex said and left.

His mastery of the hiding had gotten better. He quickly caught up to the group. He began to watch as the group traveled. His steps silent as night. His aura no where around. He was a perfect predator at this very moment.

The group arrived at the first mine at almost nightfall.

"We will camp for the night and explore the mine in the morning." War God announced.

War God helped them both set their tents. The man by himself. The women together.

"Do I go on ahead and kill him now?" Rex thought.

His thoughts telling him to. His instincts telling him to catch him in the act.

"I guess just a little longer will do no harm." Rex decided.

Rex stayed over the camp. A small group arrived near midnight at the other side of the mine.

"We will wait for the announcement from the man to strike." An elderly man said.

Then his head fell off his shoulders.

"Sorry. But I have to keep what is mine safe from danger." Rex smiled evilly.

Before any of them could react. Their heads all fell.

"At least this slows down the chances of shit being truly bad when the time strikes." Rex said.

He went back to protect the camp till daybreak.
