Yuki locked the door from outside and walked towards it with a frosty expression. He was wearing a red shirt that had black markings on it and black pants with black boots.
'Like hell, I would listen to your advice.' While going outside the gate, he scoffed in his mind.

9 PM, Malko City.
Outside Monia's house.
"Okay, I will leave now." Alex waved at Monia, who was outside the gate, also waving at him.
Today they came back early as Alex had to return home quickly. Because Miss Nina and his husband called him on his way to work, asking if he had been kidnapped. They would have made a police complaint if he didn't pick up the phone.
'How can a normal person sit so long in front of a computer? My back hurts a little.' Alex rubbed his waist as he complained about the continuous sitting he had to do.
Alex then pondered something important. 'I seem to have left food outside.'
'Huh!?' Alex's eyes widened, and his face darkened immediately. 'You better not touch my food, you filthy rat.'
Alex was actually cursing about a rat that bugged him every time he was not at home. It would make a mess in his kitchen and had to make him waste money to order food. He also tried many traps but couldn't capture it. He didn't want to use his power because it would bring a stain on his status.
While Alex was desperately trying to make a plan to capture that rat, in the park that he was passing by, a fight was happening.
Alex had seen many academy kids fight on the battleground that was built by the side of the park. He didn't pay attention to their measly fights ever, hell he didn't even care to see any big fights other than his liking.
"Yuki, you are worthless as ever."
However, that ridicule made him halt his step and make him focus on the fight.
"You would be nothing if you didn't have your background backing you up!"
The next voice made him forget about everything and go see the fight. Coming to a small blue-colored battleground, he saw Yuki and some other kid who was the same age as him fighting against each other.
There was a decent amount of crowd as it was the time when everyone is free.
Alex saw Yuki's opponent was wearing the same clothes as him, which indicated they were from the same academy. His opponent had spiky blonde hair and was much fitter than him.
Yuki was fighting with a katana, and his opponent was using a fox whose whole body was made of fire.
"Oh," Alex's interest piqued seeing the firefox. He used his power to see what it actually was.
'Heh, a soulless monster. So, it is not summoned.' Alex immediately found out his answer. 'But this power has too much potential.'
The firefox shot out fireballs at Yuki. He tried to dodge but wasn't able to, as he couldn't use any kind of power. He tried to cut open the fireballs too, but still failed. Instead, he would get burned in many places.
Yuki panicked hard. 'What should I do?'
"Huh. This is what you deserve. How dare you lay your eyes on Mira? You lowly peasant." The kid was ridiculed again with pure disgust in his voice.
Yuki, in anger, gritted his teeth. 'I wanna kill him. I wanna kill him so bad. But what can I do?'
He dodged another fireball in a nick of time. Still, more came after that, and from the look of it, his opponent, Taylor, was about to make another firefox.
'Put your left foot a little forward.'
Alex's advice sounded in his mind again. However, Yuki was stubborn. 'I won't lis-.'
'Do you think some bigshot will give advice to someone as useless as you?'
'Shut up!' Yuki shouted in his mind. 'Shut up, will ya?'
'You should try my advice a little.'
'Okay, okay, I will listen just once.' Yuki couldn't take it anymore, so he finally decided to follow Alex's advice.
Yuki found a chance to finally rest a bit, and in that span of time, he put his left foot a little further forward than he usually did.
He slashed at the coming fireball from the middle.
Puff
The fireball went out like a puff of smoke. Yuki couldn't express his joy afterward because more fireballs were coming, so he had to keep on slashing.
But still, no fireball hit him as they went out like smoke in front of his sword. He became so happy at that moment that he forgot about the second firefox that Taylor had already made.
It sneakily went past his eyes and bit him in the legs.
"Arghh!" Yuki woke up from his ecstasy and screamed out loud. He quickly lost his balance and fell to the ground.
Taylor wanted not to miss this chance, so he was about to order his firefoxes to go forward and bite him all over. But he stopped midway as he remembered he was in public. 'Tsk, lucky bastard.'
He retracted his firefoxes and walked before Yuki.
"Oi, useless. You seem to have learned a trick. But this is where it would take you most. And remember, do not come closer to Mira." Taylor walked away with his followers, and with that, so did all the crowd.
Yuki still clutched his leg where the firefox bit him. That place was burnt, luckily, he put it out first, or else he would have to go home naked.
"Kid, are you okay?" Alex came before Yuki and looked down at him.
"No!" Yuki frowned. "You asshole! Help me!"
Alex put his hand forward with which Yuki was able to stand up.
Alex looked down at the burnt place and raised the corner of his mouth. "So, how are you going to go home with that? Your sister won't believe anything you say."
Yuki picked up his sword. "She will. She knows I bring these types of things back home."
"So, this is not the first time." Alex smirked. "It seems you were a loser most of your life."
