Chapter 22 - Being Special and Abduction - 2

Zeus grabbed Monia by her waist and flew up into the sky. Monia got scared and held onto Zeus tightly.

"It's okay. No need to be scared. I am holding onto you tightly." Zeus soothed her fear and let her feel what it was like to fly in the air.

Monia slowly peeked out of Zeus's shoulder and looked around; her heart was immediately filled with excitement by seeing all the sky buildings being so tiny in front of her vision.

"Let's go," Zeus said as he zoomed through the air like a jet. Luckily, he covered her whole body with mana, or else she might have already died from the speed.

...

A few minutes later.

At Monia's house, Alex and Yuki had arrived outside the gate.

Alex rang the doorbell and waited for a few seconds. But no one came to open the door. He rang the bell again but still the same. They both knew something was wrong, so they went inside from the backyard.

They searched all over the house but didn't find her.

Downstairs, Alex asked Yuki."Have you found her?"

"No, not even a single hair." Yuki shook his head and showed her phone."She also left her phone. I know that whenever she went outside, she would never leave her phone. So.."

Alex knew what Yuki wanted to say. He wanted to say something bad might have happened to her, but he didn't want to jinx it.

Alex rubbed his chin and went to the backyard to think. 'What should I do? Should I use my power? But I wanted to..'

"Huh," Alex's eyes widened in surprise. He felt some lighting mana in the air. He immediately activated his power and saw sky-blue-colored mana lingering in the air.

He was able to see it because, after a certain stage in the realm, every being would have a dense and huge volume of mana stored in their body. So, if they use their power, they will leave traces behind. However, they could stop that after reaching a certain realm that Alex had already reached.

Alex didn't what he would do now. 'Should I send my slaves or go myself? I can't handle Yuki with anything I say.'

Suddenly, an idea lit up in his mind. 'Yes, that's it. Now is the perfect opportunity.'

His face immediately turned stern, and he walked toward Yuki. Yuki, seeing Alex approach him, asked. "Should we go look for h-"

Yuki didn't finish his sentence. Alex grabbed him and flew up in the air.

"Huh!?" Yuki froze at the sudden turn of events. Gradually he returned to normal as air constantly blasted in his face."You can use powers!?"

Alex said it with a deadpan face. "Yes,"

He was putting on act to look like he was a person who was hiding his powers for personal reasons and now using them in front of others for their sake of them. So, he was about to explain that, but Yuki's excited voice made him almost stumble in his flight.

"So, to be able to fly, you have to be a strong guy. I have only seen the strongest be able to fly in the sky. Are you hiding your powers for some personal reasons? Or are you the boss of some organization that is working in secret?..."

The constant barrage of questions made Alex doubt his IQ. Was he stupid, or had the world progressed too fast?

"Okay, Yuki. We will talk about that later. Let's go find your sister first." Alex shut him up by mentioning their real goal.

Yuki's excitement died down as he begged Alex. "Please save my sister from any kind of trouble."

Alex smirked at him."Yuki, no one can do anything to the person I have my eyes on."

Yuki felt that sentence was suspicious, but the situation was chaotic in his mind, so he didn't delve deep into it.

A couple of minutes later, Alex and Yuki landed at the bottom of a high-rising mountain. Alex looked up and wondered to himself. 'Guess, the people didn't only change, everything on earth did.'

He said that because this mountain was more than five thousand meters long and along the way, he even saw some even taller than this. These mountains weren't that tall when the world was normal.

Yuki asked Alex with doubt. "Why are we here? This is just a small cave?"

He said that because there was a small cave in front of them, he could see its end from outside.

Alex didn't say much and instead walked into the cave. "Yuki, today I will teach you many things about the world."

Yuki saw Alex just enter the cave, but he instantly vanished in front of his eyes. He rubbed his eyes to see if he was seeing things, but what he saw was all true.

"Why are you standing there? Come in." Alex's voice came from inside.

Yuki finally decided to go in.

Shwosh

Just after he entered, he felt he had been teleported to another world. What he saw before his eyes next made him shocked to numb.

In front of him was a tall, towering mountain that was surrounded by white thunderclouds and towering peaks. Thunder flickered in the white cloud and flew up, mixing with the blue sky. On the top of the mountain was a temple that was made of white stone. Towering pillars supported its roof.

Yuki felt like he had arrived at some god's house. He asked Alex in shock."Where are we!?"

"This is called a Grotto. When you reach a certain stage, you can make one yourself. It is the best place to cultivate as you can see the Vitality Qi is denser than outside." Alex explained calmly.

"Your right." Yuki actually felt that it was indeed denser here, and the gravity was much heavier too.

Alex made a small bridge out of dark magic that stretched out to the temple and walked forward on it. Yuki also followed him along.

Alex explained a bit more about Grotto. "It is made to hide from the outside world and sometimes to train their descendants or troops too. Natural treasures grow much more here for the dense Mana."

"Mana?" Yuki asked suddenly.

Alex sighed a little. "Mana, vitality qi, whatever you call it, it all boils down to one thing: energy. Don't you want to find your specialty? Maybe you should think outside of the box a little."
