Ariellas pov
"Well lucky for you we were just getting started. So if you would." He gestured towards the seats. It felt like the room was getting stuffy the more I looked at his sparkling eyes.
An arm grabbed me and guided me towards my seat by my waist. The God who seemed to be teaching the class watched me with interest as Blake dragged me to our seat.
As soon as I got into my seat he sat down and groaned. My head seemed to clear alittle bit with Blakes help luckily.
I don't know why but I felt a pull to that God up front. Whatever his name was.
I looked up front and observed the God who was now looking through the book we were assigned. His ankles were crossed and he was lazily going through the pages like he had no care in the world. He didn't even us his powers to flip the pages. His finger lazily skimming page by page.
As he slowly licked his finger and used it to help get a page unstuck, I slowly short circuited. I couldn't look away from him. The small smile he made had me squirming in my chair.
Perfect white teeth, to match his perfect lips. The stuble on his face only helped to add to the need to kiss him.
"Ariella." Blake whispered pulling me from my intense stare. He was the teacher it was fine to stare right? One last look at him and I forced my gaze away.
"Yes." My hoarse voice had me clearing my throat. Blake's confused look had me blushing. His furrowed eyebrow told me I was acting weird. I could have a crush and not act insane.
"Sorry. I was just thinking." I whispered. He took me in for a second and than gave me a nod of understanding.
"Well you are suppose to be reading right now, not watching The high king." Blake stated as he reached over and opened up my book for me.
The high king. I shot a glance at the God who was so casually leaning on the desk and took him in even more. He didn't look like a king. Yes he looked irresistible and he had confidence that could make anyone not be able to function but the high king. He didn't look like he ruled the universe, he was too good looking.
The king or as Blake said high king , oh so slowly looked up and our eyes locked. The small smile he gave me had me looking down so fast that I would've got a neck cramp if I was a mortal.
"Ms. Ariella correct?" A seductive voice wrapped itself around my very being. I had to close my eyes to help the need that was crawling in me. His voice was so deep and so smooth.
"It's pronounced Are e Ella." I croaked out in the most God forsaken voice. I was mortified. When did I ever correct anyone about my name and why would I start with the high king?
"Well Ms. Are e Ella. It seems like you are finished with the assignment so if you would mind." The high king said purposely stretching out my name by every syllable.
I looked up to his eyebrow raised and a look of impatience. "Well are you going to come up here or do you expect me to come by you?" He asked with a small dose of amusement in his voice.
I swallowed and looked around at all the Gods and Goddesses who were looking at me. The females seemed jealous. Most of them were looking at me with narrowed eyes.
One God had me stopping though. Alax was lazily looking at me with a twinkle in his eyes that had me narrowing my eyes at him. He wasn't in this classroom. 'What are you doing in here?' I mouth. He gave me nothing but a shrug. Did the high king realize he wasnt in this class?
His simple head gesture had me remembering the high king was waiting. My head snapped back to a now very annoyed high king. "I'm sorry." I blurted as I grabbed my book and stumbled out of my seat.
A few chuckles had me going red but his narrowed eyes had me ignoring everything and walking up to the front of the class. The walk felt like torture though. His eyes were like lasers tearing every layer of me apart. It took everything in me not to turn back around.
When I got up front I just stood awkwardly looking at him. Him making a circle with his finger had me turning towards the class.
"Now can you explain to me the reading that you just read?" He asked. I couldn't see him but that didn't mean I couldn't picture him leaning back, watching my every twitch and awkward movement.
"I umm, I." I stuttered as I tried to explain I didn't know what we were suppose to read. Blake's eye movement towards the back of me reminded me that there was writing on the board that I obviously ignored.
I did a quick turn and looked at the board. King Alexander was his name. I wonder how it would sound during. A clearing of a throat had me rushing to look at the rest.
I froze as I seen he had us skip to the middle of the book. I didn't even understand any of the other stuff. "Is there a problem Ariella?" He asked saying my name slowly.
There was but I would keep that to my self. "No." I whispered as I turned around. I slowly looked down at my book and opened it to chapter 35. My heart dropped and I shook alittle as I looked at the content that made no sense.
"Go ahead explain it in your own words." King Alexander said in a coaxing voice. It wasn't very coaxing though because the jumbled mess of a book had tears forming in my eyes.
"Ummm. It means ummm that nobody but the owner of the book can go to the point of all realms?" I asked as I tried my hardest not to shake.
Silence filled the room and I couldn't help but peek at all the Gods in the room. Everyone seemed to pale alittle and I couldn't help but feel like I said it wrong.
