All Henry knew to do in the face of so many goblins was keep moving forward so none of them could harm him or his horse. However, being inexperienced with a lance, going from long distance to close combat was something he wasn't equipped to do.
Seeing that there was a goblin that was trying to steal his horse, he felt he only had one option and he dropped the lance while trying to get out his sword.
He watched as the lance helplessly disappeared under the feet of the monsters and they started to try and pick up the weapon.
With enough of them distracted, he used his nondominant hand to cut the goblin's arm that was trying to cling to his leg. Black blood spewed from the wound but his adrenaline was so high he didn't feel sick at the sight of it as he normally would.
Sir Trenton who had made it farther ahead had slashed down enough of the goblins that he could turn around and see the predicament that his apprentice had gotten himself into.
