Chapter 59 - Friends

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Those we're the wise words of a friendless man,

who needed a friend by any means.

Spider scurried across the floor of his casino, the neon lights casting eerie shadows on his eight legs. He was on a mission to see his boss, Don Sylvester.

The casino was packed with people, all eager to try their luck at the various games. The sounds of slot machines, roulette wheels, and poker chips filled the air. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation, but also with desperation and disappointment as people lost their hard-earned money.

Spider deftly maneuvered his way through the crowds, his small size allowing him to slip by unnoticed. He saw all sorts of people: young and old, rich and poor, locals and tourists, all chasing the elusive thrill of hitting the jackpot.

He watched as a man in a suit lost thousands of dollars on a hand of blackjack, cursing loudly and slamming his fist on the table.
