Elle woke up with a start, her heart racing and her forehead drenched in sweat. She had just had a terrible dream.
She rarely dreamt or remembered her dream, But whenever she had a bad dream it was always followed by bad news. Just like when her mother died. In her dream, she saw her father's mansion, the beautiful sprawling estate that had been in her family for generations, engulfed in flames. She could hear the crackling of the fire and the screams of the people inside. Elle had never felt so scared in her life.
As she woke up panting. The moment she opened her eyes she realized Ralph was on her side watching her closely.
