"And you're slowing down," Shung Yun said as he caught up to Mangro, "guess you'll still be battling Ubei."
"This is Earth Essense," Ikunga thought as he felt the earth beneath his feet and knuckles pushing him faster, "I comprehended an Essense without the help of Mother nature. I did it!"
Excitement coursed through Ikunga's body as he reveled in his newfound power.
"I won't lose to you, Ikunga," Mangro hissed as he shot forward, surpassing Shung Yun within a few seconds and finishing at the second position after arriving at Shung Kai's room.
"That was fun while it lasted," Shung Yun said as he stopped in front of Shung Kai's room, "how is it?"
Hearing Shung Yun's question, Ikunga answered, "beast Qi is rapidly filing up my body and strengthening it in the process, my king. The moment my body get filled; nature will engrave a new set of Essense on my bones."
"You must have comprehended an Essense of your own for beast Qi to surge automatically towards you, right?" Shung Yun asked.
"Yes, my king," Ikunga replied.
"When you said nature will engrave a new set of Essense on your bones, do you mean that you will have a different Essense from the one you comprehended yourself?" Shung Yun asked curiously.
"That's highly likely, my king. Nature tends to give the best Essense to the beasts of the beast race," Ikunga said to Shung Yun.
"If that's the case, then you'll be one of the few beasts with twin Essense below the Desolate beast realm," Shung Yun said as he began walking to Shung Kai's door, "and if it's the same Essense as the one you comprehended, then I'm sure the comprehension of your Essense will deepen exponentially."
"I hope nature engraves my bones with Earth Essense," Ikunga thought as he focused on his breakthrough.
Doing what he hasn't done before, Mangro coiled himself beside Shung Kai's door as he began sensing whatever Essences close enough for his senses to grab.
Throwing himself on his bed, Shung Yun slowly fell to sleep, leaving only the cultivating Shung Kai awake in the room.

Knock! Knock!!
"Who's that?" commander Nai asked the individual knocking at the other side of the door.
"It's team leader Kang of Warhead Section," the elite soldier on the other side of the door conveyed his name and rank.
"What is it, Shung Kang?" commander Jian asked as he turned to face the door.
"I just got words that captain Yun's beast has broken through to the upper-stage of fierce beast realm. It's now comparable to a commander of a military section in the base," Shung Kang said with sweat slowly sliding his forehead.
"That's very disturbing," commander Zhu of the Divine-Tree Section looked worried as his fingers rapidly hit the round table in front of him.
"A full-rank middle-stage fierce beast can be subdued by any team leader of our elite teams, or two[2] if the beast proves to be more than meets the eye. But an upper-stage fierce beast? Only the five[5] of us inside this room can subdue it if it decides to go rampage," commander Ming said with an ugly expression on her face, "I wouldn't have let captain Yun keep the beast in the base if I knew it would breakthrough within just a week of arriving."
"What do you suggest we do, commander Jian? Your soldier is in charge of the beast," commander Nai asked commander Jian.
Sensing the gazes of his fellow commanders on him, commander Jian said, "I've seen the way the beast behaves with Shung Yun. I say we trust that the contract will keep the beast submissive and loyal to captain Yun."
Keeping quiet and letting the highest rank commander make the critical decision, commander Tian showed caution and restraint at the line between safety and catastrophe for the base.
"I will hold unto that for a few extra hours," commander Nai said as he stood up, "I'll be the one to go with the Shung Clan lad to negotiate with the contracted beast. My chances of survival when confronting two[2] newly advanced upper-stage fierce beasts are higher than that of the four[4] of you."
"Let's one of us go with you," commander Ming said as she looked at commander Nai, "that will be safer than you going alone."
"It will also make the contracted beast feel threatened. Letting only one commander go will be much better," commander Nai said as he shifted his chair before leaving the round table, and then the military higher ups' room.

"This is getting boring," Shung Yun sighed as he watched Shung Kai cultivate.
Getting up from his bed, he walked towards his reward box before taking out one sensory Qi fruit.
"Twenty[20] Duan silver pieces and you can have it," he said as he walked towards Shung Kai with the sensory Qi fruit in his hand.
Understanding what his captain was referring to due to the scent given off by the sensory Qi fruit, with his eyes close, Shung Kai said, "the village forbids the selling of sensory Qi fruit."
"The village forbids the killing of villagers and foreigners, yet corpses are still found in alleys and obscured areas in the village without any evidence of the culprits," Shung Yun said as he threw the sensory Qi fruit to Shung Kai, "I got bored watching you sit for hours without any hint of spiritual Qi moving towards you."
Picking up his pouch on the table at his right, Shung Kai took out eighteen[18] pieces of Duan silver before passing them to Shung Yun, "take the remaining two[2] Duan silver pieces from my earnings at the end of the month."
"That won't be necessary," Shung Yun said as he kept the Duan silver pieces in the pouch hung at the left side of his waist.
You woke up early today and also got dressed early. Is there anything special today?" Shung Kai asked as he looked at Shung Yun.
"I'm taking one of the commanders to visit the beast I got into a contract with," Shung Yun said as he laid with his back on his bed.
"Alright," Shung Kai nodded as he bit the sensory Qi fruit before immediately entering a meditative state.
Six[6] minutes later...
"Captain Yun!" a voice sounded from outside Shung Kai's room before passing into it and ringing in Shung Yun's ears.
"It's finally time," Shung Yun rolled down his bed before taking hold of his battle-axe and strapping it on his back.
"Sir!" he said as he saluted commander Nai waiting outside Shung Kai's room.
"I'll be the one negotiating with the beast you entered a contract with," commander Nai said as he looked at Shung Yun.
"That will definitely make Ubei more serious and cautious than meeting up with the other commanders," Shung Yun said.
"Then let's get going," commander Nai said as he turned away from Shung Yun.
"Let go, Ikunga," Shung Yun said to the newly advanced low-rank upper-stage fierce gorilla.
Arriving at the base gate, commander Nai nodded at the upper-stage teenage stable boy before climbing the back of his horse and taking hold of the lead-line.
Tapping the stomach of his horse with his feet, he rode off to the Oak Forest with Ikunga trailing behind without increasing or decreasing the distance between them.
After a few dozens of minutes, a brown colored horse with a middle-stage middle aged man sitting on its back and a white colored gorilla with a middle-stage male teenager sitting on its left shoulder arrived in front of a dense forest with trees reaching up to forty[40] meters in height and three[3] meters in width.
"Do you have any way of contacting the beast?" commander Nai asked Shung Yun.
"No. But he gave me the location of his new home," Shung Yun said to commander Nai.
"Lead the way then," commander Nai said.
"Let's go, Ikunga," Shung Yun said as he showed the location of Ubei to Ikunga through the mind-link.
Having the location of Ubei revealed to him, Ikunga moved into the dense forest without being cautious or vigilant.
"The king is back," hundreds of beast stopped whatever they're doing as they looked towards the direction of the aura of their king.
