Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 Outside The Village

"Riders are approaching, my king," Mangro said to Shung Yun as he looked at the four[4] horses carrying four[4] humans on them.

"They must be heading for the village," Shung Yun said as he kept the map in his hand inside his pouch.

"Is that a horse?" the rider at the right edge looked dumbfounded as he asked out.

"At first glance, it looks definitely looks like a horse. But carefully looking at it, it has characteristics that aren't found in a horse," the rider close to the one who asked said.

"A horse having red irises in its eyes and red hooves, that isn't of the same species of horses we're riding," the rider at the left edge said as he looked at the approaching horse carrying a seventeen[17] or eighteen[18] years old good-looking lad on a blue colored robe.

"I'll ask the kid where he got it," the second rider from the left said as they got closer to the red eyes horse.

"And what will you do if he the kid tells you?" rider[1] at the right edge asked rider[3].

"Then, I'll try to own one for myself," rider[3] said as his horse got closer to the approaching red eyes horse.

"Hey there, junior brother. Can I ask where you got your horse from?" he asked Shung Yun after his horse got within three[3] fts from the red eyes horse.

"From my village's military, senior brother," Shung Yun said as he stopped his horse.

"You're a Byui village's soldier?" rider[3] asked the young lad on the odd-looking horse.

"Yes," Shung Yun answered.

"That means I won't be able to get even if I'm able to afford it, right?" rider[3] asked.

"That' right. The horses are exclusively reared for the soldiers of the Byui village's military," Shung Yun said to the lower-stage middle aged man.

"All the soldiers?" rider[4] chimed in as he asked.

"No. Only soldiers of either high rank or high merit gets one. I'm in the second category," Shung Yun said with a smile on his face.

"He must be proud of his achievement," the riders thought as they saw the smile on Shung Yun's face.

"You must be heading for a mission then, seeing as you're moving in the direction of Yuhan Town?" rider[3] asked.

"Not quite," Shung Yun said while shaking his head, "I have a cousin who's an outer disciple in the Flowing River Sect in Yuhan Town. I'm going to go visit him."

"Alright. Be safe on the way," rider[3] said as he began riding away with his companions.

"He really has no experience about the world outside his village. He wasn't even cautious or vigilant with us," rider[1] said as he shook his head, "if it was someone a little greedier and more fearless than us, he would've gone to walk the Nether Realm."

"Think big, Shung Yun," Shung Yun said to himself as his body rocked in accordance with the movement of his horse, "a few burning screams shouldn't be so appealing to you anymore."

"Burning screams?" Mangro was puzzled as he heard Shung Yun's words, "how was my king's life before I knew him?"

Moving forward, Shung Yun moved pass several more riders, merchant carriages and travelling tourists going to Byui village to either carry out a trade or to start a new life.

"Stop here, Haru," Shung Yun said to his horse.

"Yes, my king," the red eyes horse said as he entered the forest at his left.

Leaping down from the horse, Shung Yun took hold of the bow on the left side of his waist before taking out an arrow from the quiver hung on the right side of his waist.

"You're up, Mangro," he said as he pinned the bottom of his arrow on the bowstring.

"We've done this already, my king. You can't hit me," Mangro said as he slithered fifteen[15] meters deeper into the forest.

"I'm honing my reflexes, Mangro. The faster you move about, the faster I have to shoot in order to hit you," Shung Yun muttered as he drew the spot on the bowstring where the vanes of his arrow sat.

Twii! Whoosh!!

"He's over there," he muttered as he picked an arrow from his quiver before fixing it and then releasing at Mangro's current position as fast as he can.

Going on for an hour, Shung Yun saw progress on how fast he responded to Mangro's movement.

"Are you going to eat that, my king?" Mangro asked as he looked at the charred meat in Shung Yun's hands.

"Of course, I am," Shung Yun said as he took a bite off the charred meat, "it tastes better than the one I made last night."

"How long before we get to the destination, my king?" Mangro asked while laying down with a bloated stomach.

"I have no idea, Mangro," Shung Yun said as he feasted on the charred meat in his hand, "but I know the journey is still so long."

"Grwwl," Haru growled as he slowly stood up from his resting position.

"How many, Haru?" Shung Yun asked as he picked an arrow from his quiver while taking hold of his bow.

"I sense seven[7] of them, my king," Haru said as he looked vigilantly at his surroundings.

"How much do you all think the horse will cost?" a middle-stage middle aged man on a brown colored robe with a bull horn insignia on the left chest region asked his colleagues.

"From its appearance, I'll say three hundred[300] silver duan pieces," a lower-stage middle aged man on bald said as he looked at the standing horse twelve[12] meters away from him.

"A wild horse as a mount. Those rich cultivators in town will definitely pay a huge sum for it," a lower-stage middle aged man with a nose ring said as he licked his lips.

"I'll have the owner," the upper-stage middle aged lady in the group said, "I can see that he's a nice-looking young man just from his side view."

"You're getting old, granny Xi. You might scare off the youngster just from your appearance," the only upper-stage female youth in the group said as she looked at the upper-stage middle aged lady.

"A whore like you has no right to speak to me, Mie Ai," the upper-stage middle aged lady countered as she glared at the upper-stage female youth.

"I should be the one saying that to you, granny Xi. Your lust for young boys is so disgusting that I fe..,"

"Watch out!!" the middle-stage middle aged man shouted as he sighted his target's owner with an arrow pointing at their direction.

Whoosh!! Purch!!

Blood spurted as an arrowhead emerged out of the back of the bald middle aged man's head after going through his left eye.

"Take cover! He's an archer!!" the middle-stage middle aged man shouted as he hid behind a tree.

Whoosh!! Purch!!

"Scar-face!" Mie Ai screamed out as an arrow pierced through the left side of her colleague's neck before emerging from the right side.

Whoosh!! Prrcch!!

"Storm god!" the lower-stage middle aged man with a nose ring exclaimed in fear as an arrow stopped a few centimeters from him after piercing through the tree in front of him.

"Stay a few inches away from the tree!" he shouted out for his colleagues' safety.

"Who the hell is that kid!? How can his arrows be so fast and powerful!?" granny Xi shouted.

"He's the youngster you want to have, granny Xi! I hope he doesn't kill you before you get to say hi!" Mie Ai said out as she grinned at granny Xi.

"We're about to die and all you know about is to show just how envious you are of me! No wonder you haven't gotten married after thirty seven[37] years of your life!" granny Xi shouted as she looked at Mie Ai.

"At least I'm better than someone like you who got to watch her husband leave with a little girl of nineteen[19] after a week of their marriage!" Mie Xi said out loud with her smile still plastered on her face.

"For f*ck sake, can the both of you shut the hell up!" the middle-stage middle aged roared as he looked at the direction of granny Xi and Mie Ai.
