"It's blood!" commander Tian of the Winged-Whale Section exclaimed as blood slid down the bottom edges of the square shaped carving.
"It must be the heart of the sacrificed girl!" Elder Li said as she watched the movement of the square shaped carved wall.
Thud!!
A cube shaped stone landed on the floor with half of its body covered in blood.
Putting his hand inside the square shaped space in the wall, commander Zhu brought out a heart still containing blood in it.
"Im...impossible! I never kept anything there! That isn't mine! I'm being framed! I'm innocent!" Nue Su shouted as his thoughts became chaotic.
"Elder Su, by the law of the village, you've being found guilty of carrying out a forbidden ritual while using a member of the village as an ingredient. Your penalty is death by dismemberment," commander Nai declared as he sealed Nue Su's dantian with his Qi.
"I didn't do it! I'm being framed! I didn't do it! I would never do such a thing! I would never kill a descendant from my clan because of a ritual!" Nue Su shouted as he struggled to escape commander Nai's grasp.
"Byui Nai, why don't exercise restrain until the village chief and my Nue clan's clan head get here," Elder Gauyi said to commander Nai.
"There's no reason to wait for them. All the evidence points to Elder Su. He did an abominable act despite knowing the degree of such act," commander Nai said as he tied Nue Su's hands together with a rope.
"The girl killed is a member of my Nue clan. The clan head will give Elder Su his punishment," Elder Gauyi said as he came to Nue Su's defense.
"The clan head will give no such punishment!" commander Ming said as she glared at Nue Su, "Nue Chu was under the jurisdiction of the military. We have the right and authority to sentence anyone found guilty of harming a soldier to death!"
"Nue Ming! Have you forgotten where you belong?" Elder Gauyi sounded angry as he asked commander Ming.
"I belong to the military, Elder Gauyi. I haven't forgotten that," commander Ming said.
"Elder Gauyi, I know you feel sympathetic towards Elder Su. But you should look at things from a neutral angle. What Elder Su did can't be forgiven even by our merciful goddess Hiba," Elder Li said to Elder Gauyi.
"Commander Tian, announce to the entire base that an execution will be holding by noon today," commander Nai said as he raised Nue Su to his feet, "see you all by noon."

"I remember when he took on Huzhan. He was so fierce and glorious with every swing of his axe. Huzhan couldn't even handle seven[7] attacks from him,"
"Although he didn't communicate with us except in missions, I still feel honored to be in his unit,"
"Captain Yun, the youngest and strongest captain in the Byui military,"
"You might make me think I'm great if you keep saying that," a middle-stage male teenager on Byui military standard armor said as he walked towards the gathering of his fellow soldiers.
"Captain," the thirteen[13] soldiers gathered together stood up before saluting to the middle-stage male teenager.
"Can I join you guys?" Shung Yun asked as he sat down in front of his soldiers.
"It will be our pleasure," the soldiers said as they nervously sat down.
"Why are you guys not cultivating?" Shung Yun asked as he supported his body by placing his hands on the ground beside him.
"We won't be able to make much progress even if we spend all day cultivating for the next six[6] weeks," an upper-stage male youth said with an exhausted expression on his face.
"And why is that?" Shung Yun asked as he got curious.
"Well, we can't seem to sense the Qi higher than the body tempering Qi," the upper-stage male youth said, embarrassed by his shortcoming.
"That doesn't look better than having a dantian," Shung Yun as he smiled at the soldiers.
"It sure doesn't," the upper-stage male youth said as a smile appeared on his face.
"Hahahaha!!" soldiers and captain all exploded into laughter as they found something in common between themselves.
After a few seconds of laughing, Shung Yun said as he looked at the sun peeping through the clouds, "but there must be a solution out there in the world. We just have to go for it."
"A lot of unknown dangers will definitely accompany such solution," a lower-stage middle aged man soldier said as he looked at Shung Yun.
"That will definitely make it fun. Don't you think so?" Shung Yun asked with a smile on his face.
A few dozen minutes slid by as the soldiers stayed silent after hearing Shung Yun's question.
"Guess not everyone is excited about dangers," Shung Yun said as he admired the orange glow slowly chasing away the dark sky.
"Captain Yun, commander Jian sends for you," a lower-stage male youth on a Byui military elite soldier's armor said to Shung Yun.
"Hope you all find a solution to your problems," Shung Yun said as he stood up, "see you all later."
Watching as Shung Yun left together with the elite soldier, the soldiers felt different emotions swirling inside them.
"The captain actually sat and spoke together with us," the upper-stage male youth said with his eyes on Shung Yun's back.
"More like spoke to you," a middle-stage female youth countered to what the upper-stage male youth said.
"You all were too shocked to respond. I just spoke faster," the upper-stage male youth defended himself.
"He took us as equals and laughed together with us. I haven't seen the captain like that before," a middle-stage male youth said with emotion oozing out of his voice.
"Same here," the upper-stage male youth said.
"Commander Sir," Shung Yun saluted as he faced commander Jian.
"You're all here," commander Jian said as he looked at Shung Wen, Shung Xhao and Shung Yun.
"Here are your rewards for successfully accomplishing your mission," he said as he presented three[3] boxes to them.
"Shung Yun, thank the village," Shung Yun said as he picked up the box in front of him.
"Shung Wen, thank the village," Shung Wen said as he picked up the box in front of him.
"Shung Xhao, thank the village," Shung Xhao said as he picked up the box in front of him.
"I hope you all keep on giving your best for the village," commander Jian said.
"I will," they all said before turning towards the door.
"Shung Yun, stay behind," commander Jian said to Shung Yun.
"Commander Sir?" Shung Yun stopped before facing commander Jian.
"You used the contract with an upper-stage fierce beast to help in completing the mission that would've lasted weeks to get it done in a single day. The village chief has decided to grant you the chance to make three[3] requests from the village," commander Jian said to Shung Yun.
"Can I make my requests at my preferred time?" Shung Yun asked.
"You can," commander Jian said.
"Alright," Shung Yun nodded.
"I should give you warning though," commander Jian said to Shung Yun, "you might have some higher ups coming to you for you to make use of your chance to request something from the village for their own goal."
"I will keep that in mind, Sir," Shung Yun said before leaving the office.

"I didn't do it. I'm being framed here. You can't let them kill me," Nue Su said as he looked at Elder Gauyi.
"All evidence leading to the culprit is pointing at you, Elder Su. Your chance of surviving is less than one[1] percent," Elder Gauyi said as he shook his head.
