After being defeated and casted out of his Eternal glory, Raziel sought Vengeance after his Master most priced creations. Humanity.
He led a host of demons and other beastly Creatures to Earth to burn the human's cities, kill their people, and destroy their very existence from what would have been a beautiful planet of wonder. He watched from afar as his armies ravaged the human settlements, plunging their World into Chaos.
It was then that the Immortal Supreme made his final stand against them. He carefully scrutinized the types and different numbers of Races that existed on Earth. He then selected and Marked a particular Race who were to stand against Raziel. A race widely known among the inhabitants of Earth as " Aeons".
They were gifted with Magical and Physical abilities. They all carried with them their special powers of Destruction. One thing that distinguished them from a normal human was that while others were red blooded, the Aeons were blue blooded. Their powers were unique, each one having its own set of magical abilities and order of ranking. Some could control fire, some manipulate ice, some create portals that could take them anywhere in the entire universe, some had the ability to teleport, and the rest were gifted with other numerous abilities. This specific breed could also heal.
The Aeons were the protectors of mankind. They were chosen for many reasons, but this reason was foremost because they were a powerful and rare combination of their magical abilities. They were able to combine those traits together to create one of the strongest fighters of mankind. While it might seem easy to kill an ordinary human, it was a lot harder when faced with such creatures. The only ones to ever defeat these Creatures were those blessed with the powers beyond wildest imaginations. These specific types of Aeons were called the Redeemers. Those blessed with the Moremi of Souls.
During Raziel's onslaught on humanity, the Redeemers with the help of other Aeons and the few humans who joined in the fight, battled Raziel and his heralds. The battle was so bloody and fierce that it raged on for months. The Aeons were extinguished from the surface of the earth as a result of the deadly battle, While the Redeemers paid the Ultimate Price for defeating Raziel by laying down their lives for the survival of humanity.
After the great War, otherwise known as " The Redeemers Battle '', Humanity was still not grateful for what this Race has done for them. The fact that they had such special powers caused these races to be hated by many in the Human World. Their abilities were highly prized and revered among the humans, but there were many that despised them. Many were jealous and resentful these Aeons held greater power than humans ever dreamt of.
Blinded by their greed and feeble nature, the Human government began to attack and hunt these people for who they have become. The Templars, a group of people who were tasked with the responsibility of hunting down the Aeons, brought these race to the verge of extinction.
Those who were captured were either made to meet their horrific death, while some were made to spill the secret of their knowledge and were subjected to teach humans their legendary powers. The few Aeons who survived the brutal treatment fled for their lives, hiding in the fringes of the society.
These Humans took the powers that was not theirs to take. They made fast discoveries on technologies that was Akin to magic itself. They managed to produce Mages through the scientific experiment they had conducted, And these mages were ranked according to their abilities and awakening.
They also had the Nuanam. These were the elite mages that defended their humanity against beastly Creatures. Thus, Humanity became the defenders against the DarkWeaver themselves…
" But they always told us that the Aeons Were Children of the DarkWeaver, who brought chaos upon earth thousand years ago.".
" After all, behind every villains story, there's always a tale" Romeo yarned, while his eyes darted across the Library.
" The information I sought in this book is found wanting" Romeo mumbled Under his breath while closing the book he was holding. With a soft groan, He placed it neatly back on top of the pile that was placed inside the ancient looking Library.
His mind flashed back to those moments in the last year that he spent studying the books about Aeon's Lore. He believed these people held legendary powers and he couldn't stop himself being obsessed with it. He wanted to see if it's true.
He couldn't believe just how much the knowledge and experience was needed for him to reach his desired goal. But he was very careful in his pursuit. If he was found by the Templars, he wouldn't fathom what fate may have awaited him.
He was just a young boy who became a Library apprentice with nobody that took care of him. He remembered the sole reason he decided to become a library apprentice, despite his efforts to get into college. He wished to make use of those skills and gain a place in the world without fear or prejudice. His dreams were shattered the day he realized that he would never receive a scholarship into any of the prestigious schools around the globe.
Even after becoming a library apprentice for over a year now, his heart was still burning at the prospect of learning more. He dreamt of becoming a powerful mage just like his mother. But then, at the very thought of his mother shattered his sanity.
He remembered the very night his mother happily told him she was accepted as an applicant to become an elite mage. A defender of humanity. It was a very joyful euphoria. But that happiness soon faded when his mother left him that cold evening in order to get to Aurora, their capital city on time. But she never returned. Even up to this day.
To Romeo, Her departure was like setting a forest fire with a nuclear bomb. Left alone in this chaotic world, Romeo searched for any hint regarding his Mother's disappearance.
With the quest for finding the lost flower that beautified his life, Romeo came across a letter that had his mother handwriting on it. To his uttermost surprise, It was in this mysterious letter that he discovered for the first time in his life, his mother mentioned the Aeons.
