There was total silence in the office. The tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. The young 26 year old woman stared at the 52 year old man through her cup as she sipped on her tea. The man was also giving her a glare but there was difference in the way they stared at each other. The man stared at the young lady in a menacing way wanting to kill her with every bone in him. But the lady... The lady was staring at him with funny glances. She stared at him like a chess game she knew she'd win because she had the upper hand in the game. And funny enough, she was in his territory.
To her, finishing the business in her enemy's territory was more enjoyable than doing it in your own territory. "you know Mr. Sanchez, you are way past your prime already. why are we still on this? have you forgotten how to run a business?" she gave him a cheeky smile "And you Miss Ophelia, do you not think you are way too young to be running a business? Girls your age go about crying because they are not married yet" the old man continued to glare at her. She on the other hand, smiled pass the comment of her not being married and continued talking. "you took this property from my father illegally" she stood up from the comfy couch and walked around the man not minding the bodyguards who were ready to bring their guns out and shoot her in the head.
"my father was so soft on you because he still cared about 20 years of worthless friendship. Total BS if you ask me" she scoffed. She never believed in friendships because you could be betrayed at any time by that friend. So what is the point of keeping friends in the first place? "And that land is worth billions of dollars. Now, how can I let go of such amount of money because of 20 years of total nonsense" she laughed crazily to bring out the little madness in her.
"Now...." her secretary brought out the contract she wanted Mr. Sanchez to sign. 'she didn't come in with any bodyguards' he thought and smirked.
Ophelia took the contact from her secretary and gave it to Mr. Sanchez raising an eyebrow at him. He smiled and asked her "And what if I say... I won't?" his bodyguards took that as a signal to point their guns at her. She looked at him and smiled "And you thought I would come to my enemy's territory unprepared?" she stared at her Rolex and began to count. " 3.... 2.... 1" she looked up and saw the red dot on his neck and on that of his bodyguards. "Now... we do not want it to reach the headlines that two big CEOs died in the office of Mr. Ricardo Sanchez because of some property, do we?" she smiled coldly and gave him a pen engraved with her name.
Mr. Sanchez tried looking at the person pointing the sniper at him but he couldn't see anybody but, the red dot was very evident on his neck. He took the pen from her and signed on the paper. After that, he stared at her with so much hatred in his eyes. She took the contract and waved at him walking away, not bothered by the threatening look in his eyes.
"Nice doing business with you Ricardo. Keep the pen as a souvenir okay?". When she got to the door, she stopped for a second " Redecorate your office. Your style is so old fashioned and you might loose business cause of it". And then, she walked out with her secretary following closely behind.
