"Miss Ophelia" one of the directors called out "we know that you are a very busy woman, but so are we. You cannot waltz in here like you own the place" "but what if I do?" Ophelia said as her assistant took her coat off her shoulders and she sat down still looking at Luca. Meanwhile, Luca's eyes were on the hands of her assistant from the moment he took her coat off. The gesture did not sit well with him.
The man did not know what to say after Ophelia's comeback, but another man said "I am a very busy man as well, Miss Ophelia" and it was Lucas. Ophelia smiled "true, true, you are. That must be why the contract was not signed on time" she nodded her head in agreement, but everyone could feel the sarcasm coming from her.

"Mr. Luca, shall we get on with it. We all seated here do not have time for chit-chats" she shut him down with her sassy voice. Luca could say nothing but only stare at this captivating woman.
The meeting proceeded as scheduled, but Luca's mind was not in the meeting. His eyes and thoughts were all on that one woman. Ophelia. 'so this was the job she spoke about' he thought. He finally understood why she told him not to worry about money. He chuckled because of his thoughts and the person giving the presentation stopped and everyone's attention turned to him.
He realized what he had done and he composed himself going back to Mr. Emotionless and the meeting went on.
Ophelia also gave him side glances and always caught him looking at her, but Luca was unashamed. He never stopped even after Ophelia caught him.
She was surprised to see him when she got into the meeting room, but it did not last long, because she felt it when she spoke with him. He was not a simple and ordinary man.
He was speaking with so much composure and poise for him to just be a waiter at a run-down restaurant. She always smiled at him whenever their eyes met and his eyes only darkened after that.
The whole presentation concluded and it was time for them to talk it out.
A director wanted to speak but Luca beat him to it.
"Miss Ophelia, I did not know you were so good at your job". Ophelia smiled at that "well, it is my job. No one else would do it better than me" she complimented herself and Luca smirked.
"I like what you're offering but, the risk we're putting into this is a lot. How confident are you about this project?" He asked and Ophelia's laughter filled the room "you must not know me very well for you to ask that, Mr. Luca. I am not bragging but, I have never lost in any of my games" she said to him while staring deeply into his eyes.
Luca knew from her look that she considered him as one of her games that she plays. His smile widened. His workers were shocked to see that his lips moved. His lips never moved from a scowl. Never.
Luca leaned forward "how sure are you that this game would not be a loss, Miss. Ophelia?" He asked again and Ophelia did the same leaning forward, in a more seductive way that only Luca noticed "Mr. Luca, I have played way too many games for me to loose at this one. It'll not be easy though, as this is the first one I'll be putting a lot of hard work" she leaned back on her seat "but it doesn't change the fact that I'll win" she said in plain confidence.
Every one in the room felt like the talk was not about the business contract anymore, and they were right. The business contract was long forgotten, and a whole new contract was in place.
Luca leaned back as well on his seat. The whole room was silent for a long while, then Luca sealed it "you have a deal". Everyone clapped signifying their acceptance.
They ended the meeting and everyone else left the room, but Luca, Ophelia and her assistant remained in the room.
"Would you mind if we spoke in my office, Miss Ophelia?" Luca asked and Ophelia smiled. She turned to her assistant, Henry "Henry, wait by the car for me. I have unfinished business with Mr. Luca here" she said turning back to Luca. Henry bowed slightly before walking away leaving the room.
After he left, Luca stood up heading for the door and Ophelia followed after him.
