After dishing out mine and Alexander's breakfast we took a seat at the dining table

I picked up my fork and took a bite of my breakfast I closed my eyes appreciating the savoury flavour

" How you holding up ... About your parents " I took a deep breath setting my fork down as I turned to face him
" It's not easy I'll say ... There are times I just want to call them and ask for help with how to do something or to actually feel the affection they once gave me you know ?" He cast me a sad smile as he pushed a strand of stray hair behind my ear
