AMARA
It was the next day by the time Amara woke up.The sun was rising and she looked at the charred earth around her. She started to cry. She prayed it was just a dream however reality slapped her in the face . She looked around there was nothing. She layed there and cried, slept and cried again. It was hours before Amara resolved herself to get to her feet walk to the orchard. The charred earth went on for a long time however the orchard went untouched . She looked at the trees and the branches swaying peacefully in the wind. "How dare these trees be so peaceful and beautiful" she thought
"Life must go on." Amara said solemnly.
She ate many pink fruits. Amara knew she had to descend the mountain. If the phenix tribe was to be carried on she'd have to find a mate. She found some very large leafs and put some fruits in them. She started to make her way down the mountain. The phenix tribe had a path that went down some of it but once she got a half down she would be on her own to scale the rocks. While walking Amara felt like a shell. She had avenged her tribe but she knew that some of their blood was taken by those eagles. She had to find the blood and give her tribe peace in their afterlife. She thought about what her brother said. To not let the phenix tribe end. She would have to find a mate. She dissociated and only came back to her senses once she reached the part of the mountain she had to climb. She decided to brave it then camp when she got to the bottom. She ate the rest of her fruit and discarded the leafs. Then Amara placed her feet in crevices in the rocks and climbed down. The climb was hard and Amara wanted to give up but she couldn't.
TIME SKIP TO BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN
When Amara felt her feet touch the grass she let go of the rock and fell to the ground on her back. She never loved the feeling of grass more than right now. Amaras feet were bleeding and so we her hands. She started laughing which quickly transformed to crying. She didn't know what to do she's never been on her own before. She sat up and leaned against the rock. Amara was exhausted. She was stronger than your average female but she had never worked out before. Everything was sore she couldn't bear to get up and fell asleep her red hair waving in the wind.
