Writer's POV
After the conversation between Candy and Brian that night, Brian went back to his old self. He withdrew back into his shell and stopped going close to Candy.
Morgan started skipping school and any day she's in school, she is either in the music room or librarian's office all day long and nobody knows what she's up to.
Sorry for the late notice, Christy went on a family trip and that's why she has not been mentioned in the story for a while now.
As for Candy, she put everything behind her and decided to focus on her studies and cheerleading tryouts. She left the dance club because she was paying much attention to it. The semester passed without much drama and Candy came second in her class and she didn't look happy about it.
Candy's POV
"Bella all the efforts I put into my studies this semester are all to no avail" I said sadly. Bella looked at me stunned. I raised my eyebrow at her and said "Why are you looking at me that way?".
"Hello, you came second and you are saying you didn't do well. I didn't even get half your scores but I am happy I passed". Bella said wide eyed almost yelling. I chuckled at her cute reaction and said "Relax girl, I just wanted to know the person who topped the class".
Immediately I said that, Bella gave me a serious look and asked "You really want to know?". I was surprised at her sudden at her sudden change of mood and was about to ask her what the problem was but was stopped by a cold voice which I can never forget how intimidating it was. "It was me, I topped the class".
Then he leaned in behind me letting his breath fan my shoulder, sending a tingling sensation down my spine. "Do you have a problem with that?".
Immediately I turned to face him and say some really harsh words to him but I was surprised at the number of students watching us. I slowly mumbled a curse and walked out on him dragging Bella along with me.
Brian's POV
I went to the hallway to check if the results have been pasted on the board. I wasn't checking my scores but hers and I was quite impressed that she came second place.
I was about to leave when I heard her chuckle and say she wanted to know who topped the class. I wanted to just leave because I know Bella will tell her but my instincts pushed me and I got close to her and decided to tease her a little. I watched her shiver a little when I breathed on her skin.
I looked at her skin and it was so girlish and spotless and then she turned around and I was sure she was going to yell at me but she murmured something inaudible and walked away. I chuckled to myself and looked in the direction she went, wondering what
was going through her head. I went back to my office and prepared myself for what I'll say later on.
A few minutes later, Alan walked in and told me it was time. I hurriedly stood up and left the office. I had already taken off my previous clothes in the office and had thrown on an Italian black suit.
Soon I got to the school's stadium and whispered to the principal that I had something to say and he let me have my way. I walked up to the podium and looked sternly at the faces of the students before I started;
"Dear students of Brighton Highschool, I'm most delighted to stand before you today and announce that the school camp which had been cancelled at the beginning of this term is going to hold seven days from now".
Immediately happy noise was made by the students but I continued regardless of the noise "We'll be camping close to the Alcatraz island. I know most of you would be worried about the expenses but don't worry about that cause the school will take care of everything" I said and the noise increased. I paused and looked for Candy in the crowd.
I saw her at the far end of the stadium standing with her hands akimbo. Our eyes met and she rolled her eyes at me. I smirked and continued "We're embarking on this camp to have a nice time together and get to know each other better. We'll leave by 12pm on Friday and will be staying there for nine days so I want you'll to go home, get ready and come back here in a week's time".
Saying this I quickly walked down the podium ignoring the stares I was receiving from Mr Gilbert. He's the principal of the school and my Dad put him in charge to be monitoring my moves and reporting back to him. I went back to my office and was quickly followed by him.
Immediately I got to my office, I turned around and gave him a questioning look. "Brian I thought your Dad cancelled this camp and you're deliberately disobeying him. Maybe you think because he's on a business trip and cannot do anything to stop you".
His words filled me with fury and I lashed out at him. "Mind your language when talking to me, I'm your superior not your son and for your information, this is my school, not yours or my Dad's so don't ever tell me how to run it. Do you get me?". He looked frightened and immediately answered stammering "Yes....yes Sir".
"Good, Now get out of my office!" I said loosening my tie and walking towards my wine bar. He gritted his teeth in anger and left. I never liked him from the onset, he's like a puppet following the instructions of his master, my Dad of course.
I gulped down a large quantity of alcohol in one go and soon I started feeling tipsy "I'm doing all these just so I can keep seeing your captivating face and you don't even have an idea what you're doing to me" I paused and coughed before I continued talking to myself.
"I'm losing my mind and sleep cause of you. I had no idea you'd have such an effect on me" I said to myself chuckling sadly while staring at my wine glass.
