I slowly opened my eyes to the bright lights of the nurses office. The walls painfully white, so much so that they hurt to look at.
I tried to sit up only to be greeted by a torrent of pain.
Did I push myself too hard?
"Finally awake, I see."
A calm voice comes from besides me. I look over to see an old man in a stereotypical wizards gown. His long beard reaching his belt.
"I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting, I'm Merlin, the Headmaster at this academy."
I force myself to sit up despite the agony I'm in.
"I'm Am-"
"Prince Amon Britannia. I'm well aware of who you are, and what you're capable of. Although it would seem your magic power has skyrocketed since you first came to this academy. Its gotten so great even I can't sense it anymore."
So he was able to sense my magic power before my fight against Draig. Is that how Circe found out as well?
But that makes no sense, if he could sense my magic before he should be able to now as well. Afterall I never killed Draig and haven't had the chance to increase my stats since my fight.
Just to be sure I checked my status.

My stats have increased? And rather drastically at that. On top of that I seem to have randomly generated a new skill. I didn't even know that could happen.
[battle adjustment: rapidly gain strength to close the gap in stats when fighting a stronger opponent.]
This must be how I was able to match the strength of Draig's magic.
"So what's the secret to your power, Dear boy?"
Oh right, he's still here.
Secret. The secret is just extreme good luck in being the first person to come here from another world.
"There isn't one."
"I find that hard to believe, it took me decades to gain even a fraction of what you're currently capable of. I'll ask one more time. What's. Your. Secret."
How is he able to sound authoritative despite his soft tone of voice.
"Watch your tone you old cunt."
Merlin simply bursts into laughter at my response.
"You are so much like your father it's unreal! He had that same arrogance when he was your age before he became King!"
He knew father?
"Well I'll leave you to your secrets, but don't think for a minute I've given up."
With that Merlin got up and left.
What's the story between him and father?
I put my head back down on my pillow. The ceiling is painful to look at. Seriously who designed this room.
I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
"He's fine now, though I doubt he'll be awake still, he's so much like his father I can even tell what he thinks."
The headmaster Merlin came out and spoke to me. I'm still worried about what will happen to me though. Even if it was training my summon still almost killed the prince.
Master Merlin patted my head affectionately, almost like a grandparent.
"Don't worry, I doubt you'll be punished. I'll leave you to your visit."
Master Merlin to return to his office.
I took a breath and opened the door.
On the bed on the other side of the room was the Prince, wrapped up in bandages.
How does he manage to look so regal and powerful even while sleeping?
His cropped snow white hair shone with a glossy sheen. It's rather strange how his hair is this colour despite him being so young.
I've heard that it can happen to people who undergo extreme amounts of stress but there's no way that could have happened at his age and position.
I sit on the seat next to his bed and reach out to grab his hand. Just before I was able to reach his hand it grabbed my wrist.
I can feel an immense amount of power behind the grab and yet it still feels as though no effort is being expended. I knew he was strong but until this moment I simply couldn't fathom just how strong he was.
I glanced up at his face and see his eyes open, staring through my very soul. Sweat drips down my face.
I could try to summon Draig, but I'd be dead before I can do that. Is this where I die?
His eyes seem to tear through my soul, one as deep and purple as the void, the other as red and bright as blood. A shiver goes down my spine as he continues to stare.
"What are you doing?"
His voice came out as little more than a whisper and yet even that alone seemed like it was enough to destroy this entire academy.
"Oh, I uhm… it was my fault you ended up here so…"
My voice trailed off before I could even finish. I looked down ashamed to continue making eye contact.
"So you were worried you'd just committed treason and I'd call for your execution."
"Well, yeah."
I continue to stare at the ground. The prince however did something completely unexpected, he broke out into a laugh.
"That fight was fucking amazing! I want to fight that dragon of yours again one day, though next time I won't lose!"
The prince continued his fit of laughter.
He seems kind of insane, I mean he almost died and he's laughing about it.
"Well it seems you're alright, Your Highness, I shall take my leave."
I got up from my seat and left the room. It wasn't until now that I realised just how fast my heart had been beating.
He's weaker than Draig, so why does he have such a soul crushing pressure.
When I stood before him, I was even less than an insect.
"So now that you've met him how do you feel about him?"
Circe sat before me, inquiring about her new student, her face filled with pride.
I thought she had monstrous growth when I found out she was only twenty and yet its hard to be impressed by that now.
I sighed.
"Quite honestly, he scares me. His power, it's far too much for someone like him. When I spoke to him, he tried to hide it, it might have worked on most people but I'm old and I've suffered through a lot and hid my true feelings so much that I can usually tell when people are hiding their true feelings. That boy, however, wasn't even hiding them, they just simply weren't there."
No, he didn't hide his emotions, he simply didn't feel them.
How dangerous. Without any emotions to keep him in check if he decides to become an enemy…
"Master, what are you saying?"
"That kid is a fucking monster."
