Everybody is sat around the dinner table in silence. They all know that tonight is the last time I will eat here with them before I set off for Britannia's magic academy.
I wish I didn't have to go. It'll just be a bunch of stuck up nobles pushing around some weak commoners while sucking up to higher ranked nobles. As royalty that means everybody's going to try and suck up to me. There's a reason I rarely ever attend social events.
"Amon, you better make friends while you're there. If you don't you can't expect to keep people loyal when you become king."
Father speaks to me about making friends while I'm there and some bullshit about being king. I'll be long gone before this old man dies.
What good will some stuck up noble be anyway. All they'll do is stab me in the back as soon as the benefits are worth the risks.
"Brother, what will happen to me now that you're leaving?"
Oh right, Alice is screwed without me to keep her from dying. Nobody else knows about her incredible misfortune though.
I take a bracelet off my arm and enchant it with god tier regeneration and binding. She won't be able to die from anything other than longevity thanks to this.
"Amon, are you even listening to me?"
"Yeah, make friends or some bullshit."
"I'm serious, if you can't make connections now, they may never come, and you'll lose the throne."
All I'm hearing here is positives.
We finish the meal in silence, and I return to my room.
I fall onto the bed, Not long until I can grow up and conveniently disappear.
"I see you're gaining power down there. At this rate he should be ready in the next few decades. This is turning out to be more fun than I thought."
Zagreus spoke as he looked down on the world. The insects below him scurrying about their daily lives, though they didn't matter, there were very few that mattered. Only his pawns that he sent to that world to be pitted against each other.
A new development occurred in the house of one of the noble family of Anglia in Britannia. An incredible amount of power was amassed, enough to bend the boundaries between worlds and drag people across.
Zagreus smiled.
"How interesting."
"Goodbye, brother, I'll miss you."
Alice hugged me as I was leaving.
"I'll only be gone a few months; I'll be right back before you know it."
I turned my back on the rest of the people waving goodbye. None of them matter anyway. Afterall I won't be coming back.
"All ready, Your Highness?"
"Yep, get me out of here as quickly as possible."
I got in the carriage and never looked back. I just need to suffer the next few months before I can sneak away to live in the mountains.
"So you are the new teacher, correct."
"Yes, sir."
I am the S ranked adventurer Circe, the second strongest mage in the world. As for the strongest, that's Merlin, the old man in front of me.
I have insane stats when it comes to magic. I'm over 1500. But this guy is on a whole other level. It's at least 2500.
His stats are as impressive as his beard.
"Good. You will be in charge of the prince's class. Although I'd be careful, the special case will be in that class as well."
"I understand, sir."
The special case, the commoner who recently showed an incredible and rare magic skill. She can contract monsters. Being a beast tamer is one thing, but this goes beyond that. Even the best tamers can only tame two to three low level monsters, but this girl was capable of taming a baby dragon.
Although she's still just a commoner, no doubt she'll be in for a rough time.
"Also the-"
An incredible magic power can be felt approaching the academy. It cuts through the air like a sharp knife, who the hell is this? Is this some kind of god?
Sweat drips rapidly running down my face, dripping onto the floor. Forming a puddle beneath my feet.
For the first time in my life I feel weak. Even when stood in front of Merlin I'm not that weak by comparison.
This truly is the power of a monster.
