So far none of the fights have been anything impressive. These seem to be weak individuals with a stat average of around 100. Although I suppose for their age that would make them all exceptionally powerful by normal human standards.
"So next up is Edgar Anglia fighting Alexander Cymru."
The spoiled noble from earlier, Edgar, is fighting. I didn't really look at him earlier, but his golden hair reaches his shoulders like strings of gold and his eyes appeared as a pair of Emeralds in his face. His face seems to be constantly contorted into an arrogant smile that didn't suit his rather short stature.
Alexander on the other hand was as big as bear with dirty brown eyes and platinum blonde hair. He exuded a dominating aura, clearly someone who is used to being obeyed.
"This is going to be easy. Cymru, you better put up some fight to at least make me look good."
Typical overconfident and cocky noble. Didn't even bother to check the stats. If he did, he'd know he's at a huge physical disadvantage. While magic is powerful and people like Circe would be able to get past that physical advantage no problem, Edgar is far too weak.
The starting pistol is fired, and the battle begins.
Edgar immediately launches fireballs towards Alexander.
Alexander effortlessly dodges them and closes the distance.
"What the fuck!"
Edgar cried out as his face is grabbed.
"That's enough!"
Circe ended the fight before Edgar could get hurt. If she hadn't, he'd be dead right now.
Alexander lets go and walks away while the rest of the class just looked on in shock. Edgar recovers from his and cries out.
"This isn't over! I've not lost yet!"
He immediately throws a spear of lightning towards Alexander.
Doesn't he understand just how weak he is?
Before the lightning even reached him Alexander had moved past it and was in Edgar's face. He grabbed Him by the throat and lifted him up enough to look him in the eye. He stood like that for a few seconds, Edgar just dangling helplessly in his arms.
"Piss off."
With that he dropped him and walked away.
"Finally Maya will fight Amon Britannia."
Circe just took all that in stride and carried on the lesson. Well she probably understands the only way to discipline delusional people is to show them how weak they are.
Me and Maya take our positions and wait for the starting pistol. This could be relatively challenging depending on whether or not she uses summons. I'm getting excited just thinking about it.
The pistol sounds.
Maya's shadow expands and out comes a small dragon, about the size of a great dane.
The beast is covered head to toe in pitch black scales with blindingly white runes going down it's body.
Power leaked out of its body at insurmountable levels. This was an arcane dragon. The only beast in the world capable of using all forms of magic.
I analyse its stats to find how large the gap between us truly is.
[Race: Arcane Dragon
Level: 5
Strength: 98,073
Speed: 90,275
Magic: 1,156,034
Dexterity: 89,148
Intelligence: 1,159,607
Luck: 100]
What the fuck are those magic stats. They're so imbalanced to the rest of it's stats. And at level 5 as well. This thing is going to be a powerhouse when it grows up.
I can feel my heartbeat faster, this is a rare opportunity for me.
I can finally go all out and see just how powerful I am, and just how much further I need to climb before I'm ready to stand before Lord Zagreus.
I can feel the fear coming out of the students bodies, some of them collapsing out of fear, others completely breaking down.
They're all too weak to even sense just how truly powerful this beast is. Their reaction is based on pure instinct.
Only Circe managed to keep her outward composure, inside she's the same as the rest of them. Despairing in her own weakness.
"It's not too late, I don't want to fight! Give up now and we don't have to do this!"
Maya's voice echoed across the courtyard, her face showing her own fear, though it isn't for her.
"Haha haha! Why the hell would I give up?! If I can't even beat a dragon, I can never reach a level he can be proud of!"
I used Extreme Will causing the people on the side-lines to pass out though doing nothing to harm the dragon or its master.
On the side-lines only Circe remained standing, though now she was starting to really lose her composure.
A deranged grin comes to my face as I take a fighting stance.
"Hey don't you dare think about holding back!"
