Chapter 21 - 21 New title

The townsfolk watched in awe as the nobleman move in a graceful way to maneuver in between the five different Gors who were looking frustrated to not have land any blow or scratch the clothes of their captor. Mark also threw some punches here and there which made the Gors flinch in pain, they have never felt any human punch heavily as Mark.

Soon they grew tired and fearful as they realized that their captor had never shown any fatigue at all. While they looked worse than ever, the Ungors watching this as well as the Minotaur were wide eyed. They never thought a human could play their warriors like children learning to walk. The Ungors cowered amongst themselves thinking there was no hope in escaping so why bother fighting.

The five Gors soon dropped on the ground tired and beaten, their eyes show great fear as they now accepted their fate. They were a species known for fighting anyways and they always respected the strong. Mark watched as the fear grew inside the Beastmen, he knew this would make them resentful to him but he has to do this for the effects of his title to grow more effective.

"Is this all you have? If so then accept your fate, you are now my property through conquest of battle. Old man Hans, have the people put these beastmen in chains. If they still resist bring them to me, I need some punching bags to relieve some stress." Mark said coldly as he watched the Gors weakly get up and let themselves be bound by the townsfolk.

"Now for you big fella, we will have a one on one session of bonding. Let's hope you could last long under my punches." Mark smiled as he looked at the chained up Minotaur.

For the next few days the Gors and Ungors watched as the largest and strongest of them gets humbled every time and its rage lessens as fear takes over the mind of the Large Beast. The townspeople also saw every morning the nobleman exercises which some of them started to copy. Though not able to keep up it made the men who followed more at awe at how rigorous the training Mark does.

The women were there also ogling a the physique of Mark which made the men more determined to follow as they felt their wives would flock too if they didn't show some changes. Mark did this so the people here could at least learn some things from him in terms of self-defense. The Minotaur on the other hand was subject to more sparring which also made it quite alert to strikes that made Mark increase his speed of attacking.

This went up to three more months and Mark only has once costumer since then, he also took out some produce made inside the backyard like flour, eggs, rabbit meat and vegetables. The townsfolk were curious where it came from but Mark said to them they should keep it as a secret between them. The beastmen were now completely submissive to him as their fear peaked that even the Minotaur also joined in their labor.

A large wall made of logs and stones were erected all around the town which hid the things happening inside. Mark also showed various skills such as making pasta of various shapes and cooking various dishes which the women gladly learned. They were skeptical where the food came from as the Manor seemed to have limitless amount for them but Mark made them promise not to tell any of these to outsiders.

Just like that Mark changed a whole town into a secular one where he gradually manage to change by teaching them skills that'll make them survive and various tools were also introduce as even men watch Mark make many things. Even the town's blacksmith was smitten at the works of Mark saying he was a genius in the forge.

The beastmen also gave up resisting as they were at least not starved and also learned a few things. Even if they tend to get a bit ferocious in nights were magic runs rampant across the realm. Mark just put them on large jail like houses which they also made and a thick steel cage for the Minotaur. Gradually the people became fanatics and felt that they were in the presence of a God which Mark denied by saying he was only educated.

But the people here started to worship him in awe more when he took out various training equipment which was weights and even dummy weapons which they used to spar. There was even a time where Mark let the beastmen and townsfolk gang up together to fight him where he took out his Wing Chun skills to polish.

The women cheered for Mark much to the bitterness of some men but they didn't mind as who could imagine them teaming up with beastmen but somehow got their asses handed to them. Mark felt that he could at least earn the +C-Class threat before the time limit because he realized if he could grind his Hand-to-hand combat skills to the limit. He remembered that Task Master was quite formidable that he defeated the Avengers single handedly even when he has no superhuman strength.

Mark intends to train like crazy even if he doesn't like the pain of training, as lazy as he is he still could see more benefit in many things. He thought that once he gets the compound V he could take it together with the enhancement serum. It was like an Abomination situation but the difference is that the system said it would keep Mark's preferred physical appearance once changes were seen on his body.

This meant that the system could redirect the side effects to other purposes and Mark could get the optimal results if he takes both the serum and compound V at the same time. He also felt that since the townsfolk regarded him as their savior then he should take them in as his underlings. They might notice that he would be practically ageless in the years to come but if he could build a tradition of martial artist here only loyal to him then they would be useful to his plans in the future.

It might be cruel for them to be treated as tools for his plans but it was better than getting used as sacrificial lambs for chaos gods. Thus Mark also taught them meditation as well as the state of Zen so they would have better chances in fighting against corruption. As he trains he keeps speaking about stories and values to gradually influence the thought process of the people here.

Being skilled in hypnotism is very profitable but Mark does have some bottom line at least. He did hypnotize them but it was mostly suggestive thoughts and never things like changing the person deep inside. He wanted people who could also think and feel normally because a puppet is very vulnerable to corruption more than normal people.

Mark also gained skills in the process of teaching but what he didn't expect was getting another title which made him want to cringe, he never called his fighting techniques any names but these people named themselves and he got a martial arts school out of the blue. But he didn't mind as the effects were desirable.

He also had the town redesigned as he had the beastmen build a large underground sewer before rebuilding the houses. The people spent nights inside tents but Mark provided some food as well as things to do which made them grateful. Mark also designed the tunnels in the sewers with thick stones as well as entrances where patrols could go into.

He knew one of the problems in this world are the skaven thus he also had some people find some inconspicuous tunnels that might lead to more tunnels. He felt that once he got the Chest shop he would buy a lot of Bronze Chest to get more random minion roll. Once he gets another golem he would have it wander the tunnels for sightings of skaven.

He would also do a clean-up from time to time, speaking of the chest shop. Mark also had some of the hunters of the town capture animals like pigs, cows, goats, cats, sheep and even horses. He had these animals put inside the Backyard to populate it and it made the progress go to a 0.5% which was still a long way to go. He knew the two skeletons there would take care of it as they were now more skillful than him in craftsmanship.

They also acted with freedom as they built their own loom to make fabrics from cotton harvested from cotton plants. Other than that they also seem to act on their own accord in making things that can be made with the available resources. Those two somehow gained sentience and seemed to have evolved into something even Mark couldn't tell. But at least they were loyal to him and tirelessly worked all over the Backyard.
