The rapid slashes from the various enormous locusts no longer destroyed the virtuous hero and only left shallow gashes that would rapidly close.
With a single movement of an arm, the virtuous mass of mana sent a high wave of mana at the old Gluttony sand sculptures, returning them to their original form of a simple grain of sand but quickly enough, more and more of them popped out of the sand.
Noticing that some where appearing even beneath his feet, the cadaver jumped up and flew up in the air, almost matching the old sin's speed.
He destroyed as many of the invocations as he could but he couldn't stop them from appearing and neither could he outspeed them, he received blow after blow as the locusts coordinated more and more, leaving him no window of opportunity to strike back.
As some of them took hold of his limbs, holding him in place as they all were flying, the deceased puppet saw something push a whole chunk of sand off as it rose from beneath the ground.
It seemed like the ancient Gluttony had figured out how to gain more firepower.
This sand creation was much larger than the others, at least thirty meters tall as it didn't even need to fly up to stand at the same height as Iustus, it rose its four arms and put its fists together before bringing them down onto the virtuous corpse and the others sand sculptures.
All of the grains of sand that were blasted off the ground on impact turned into old Gluttony's true form and surrounded Iustus's dead body as he was still pinned down beneath the four gargantuan fists.
Although Iustus couldn't register this, Ithelisemou, who was standing not so far without anyone noticing certainly did.
The ancient Gluttony was speaking, although it sounded it was more like the effect of the convergence was making him do it, rather than a conscious choice.
"Invader, these lands belong to me, I shall not relinquish any part of it to anyone! All that will be relinquished is the lands of others, gifted to me through submission or slaughter!" the voice came from all of the sand creations at once, creating quite the cacophony.
But of course, the dead hero wasn't shaken at all even if his eardrums were bursted from nothing but his opponent speaking, he only exploded with more power, destroying the larger creations and blasting the others away to break free.
He suddenly rose up, standing perfectly straight, bubbling with even more mana as he was adjusting to the immense buff granted to him by the unpolished spell.
'He expressed greed and gluttony there, his own sin and the first one he had shown so long ago, given some time he should demonstrate even more' thought Theli with a big smile right beneath his empty eyes, watching with glee as the carcass of the hero and the old sin clashed once more.
Slowly but surely, the fight was getting messier and messier, as it always did when the opponents were overly powerful, each attack was splitting the ground in half or causing absurd damage despite not even hitting or achieving anything, the damage to the area was fixed as it was all the ancient Gluttony.
The attacks that would have reached even beyind the desert were stopped by Theli's barrier, allowing everything to go without suspicion by anyone.
Stopping both of the hero's arms, causing a sonic boom across the whole span of the desert, the old sin spoke again.
"Why won't you die?! You damned cockroach, how dare you stand between me and my eden?! The lands under my thumb will flourish so much, that none will need to govern, it will be true paradise, an idyllic world, an utopia where I won't need to do anything anymore!" spat the ancient sin as he spun around will flapping his wings rapidly enough to rips of someone's head with nothing but the wind caused by it.
He threw the hero high up into the air as the desert visibly changed, the ground level clearly dropped as thousands upon thousands of sand sculptures flew up into the air, flying straight into the figure of the hero, forming a ball all around him as dozens of gigantic creations surrounded it and all started tearing and ripping into it with relentless brutality.
'That was wrath and sloth' noted Theli, noticing that the old Gluttony's sloth was projected into the future rather than immediate like the rest at the moment.
"All lands will be mine..." he spoke softly with thousands of voices whilst he kept on absolutely destroying the puppet of virtue.
'Envy already, it might be faster than I expected' remarked Theli as he still stood on the ground but could clearly see what was going on, noting everything he could notice in his mind.
"Even after my possible passing, my many children will continue my reign, in woe of my achievement, the children bore by those that dared oppose me will follow my will and the descendants of those I mercilessly slaughtered will look up to me and acclaim my name for all of eternity!" he said right as the giant sculpture hammered down the ball with the hero inside of it straight down.
'Lust, pride and even vainglory, all in one sentence, we're only missing one now' calmly thought Theli as he walked up to the crater with the hero laying at the bottom of it, even with the great buff, he had been seriously beaten down and it appeared like his previously instantaneous regeneration had slowed down to a near halt as he struggled to stand back up as his legs broke like flimsy branches under his own weight.
Not that it mattered to man of science that was Theli, he had done his job by showing how ridiculously powerful he could get with the right materials and the certain lack of his own mind while also pushing the old sin to dip into the convergence faster.
Ithelisemou simply kicked the corpses head off, ending it right here and there and as he did so, the old Gluttony finally noticed his presence and froze for a split second, before every single grain of sands, ruin or anything else that was part of his territory came into one.
Theli let it happen as it was pretty interesting and when he was done, the both of them were just floating above what appeared to be void but was, in fact, the abyss, they didn't count as being part of his lands even though they were right underneath it.
This was yet another occasion for Theli to admire how great this world was as he had dug so deep that kilometers couldn't even be used anymore to measure it, digging down to the abyss was something that was a dream for pretty much everything in this world.
Still, he had no time to waste observing something he had already documented, and such, when the full powered old Gluttony attacked him with immeasurable speed, Theli just stopped him right in his track without even joking around a little bit.
Despite the fact that even the air had been absorbed, Theli spoke aloud and was heard.
"Don't forget this, mon ami" the ancient sin saw darkness for a few moments before being met with a familiar sight, back seating in his throne room as an old, decrepit and dried up fossil, only remembering his interaction with the unknown purple eyed man.
As well as the overwhelming sadness he felt over failing his life long goal.
