I wasn't surprised when Jevan told me about my parent's accident.
This wasn't the first time Mom and Dad had had an accident. This isn't the first time they left me in the care of someone, usually nannies. This wasn't the first time they'd left without reaching out to me to ask about me. I knew I wasn't their priority.It was always their company first before family.
They never cared about my upbringing and my freedom. They never had the time to talk about my feelings. My two friends, Sylvia and Bennie were more than family to me. They had been with me from childhood. We never parted ways until my parentsĀ decided to leave me again in the care of Jevan .Ā Ever since we left NY, my happiness hasn't been the same. I feel lonely and lost. I don't hear from anyone, including my friends. I can't even reach out to them via phone.
There must be something definitely going on and no one is willing to tell me what the hell it is .
I hate the fact the Jevan is treating me the way my parents do.
What have I done to deserve this?. Even an ordinary commoner and a waiter is treating me this way.
I cleaned the rest of the tears that had dropped on my cheeks and headed inside to our bedroom.
I'm glad Jevan had left just like I wanted him to . I'm content he respected my decision.
I laid quietly on my bed and the time I realized, I had gone to Dreamland with one question on my mind.
How are Mom and Dad faring?

The following day cameĀ early . Waking up from sleep and looking around, I realized Jevan didn't sleep here last night. I somehow felt bad for pushing him away.
Buh somehow I feel he deserves it.
I freshened down and quickly put on a black crop top andĀ whiteĀ joggers pairing it with my brown Chelsea boots.
I decided to go out for jogging down the street today.
It's been awhile since I went to the gym . Exercise helps me keep fit ,healthy and relieved off stress. It's the secret to having my perfect body.
When jogging too, I made sure to wear a sports bra underneath to hold my boobs, lol ,not that it's huge like watermelons.
Buh my boobs isn't small... yeah.
Average.
"Good morning dear, how are you doing? I've made breakfast ,come have a seat", Grandma said as I approached her downstairs.
"Good morning Gran, I'm fine and I'd like to go jogging down the street before I come for breakfast".
" Hello dear, how was your night? Hope you slept well."I made you mocha latte and waffles",she said
Mmm.. yummy.
"As much as I'd like to have breakfast now but, I gotta go jogging first".
"Oh-oh sure, do you always do this?",she asked while sipping a cup of steam latte from the teacup.
I nodded at her in reply.
"No wonder you have a perfect body every woman could dream off". "I like that, but do make sure to be here on time before it gets cold. "I'll keep your meal in the warmer so it doesn't get too cold",she continued
"Sure thank you Grandma,I'm heading out then", I said and happily headed out.
"Take care dear", I heard say.

"Gran, you shouldn't have let her leaveĀ this mansionĀ for the sake of jogging", I complained after she had told me about Valeria's departure.
I was shocked after grandma came to tell me in my study about Valeria going out for jogging as an excuse to get out to the streets.
"Son,you should allow her have some privacy and freedom". She'll be back", she responded .
"What if she's been attacked by the mafia?". "I've told you it is her they want", I said in frustration as I run my hand in my disheveled hair.
"Shush... don't talk like that". "Nothing of that sort will happen dear, just stay positive",she said as she looked at me worriedly.
"Nowhere in this world is safe for her to just be littering around, it's dangerous plus her parents will be disappointed in me if something happens to her.
I have been worried ever since I heard the news about her parents accident . I've not been able to go check on them. Valeria's been moody from yesterday ,I haven't been able to handle it quite well because she keeps on pushing me away from her and now she's leaving for jogging down the streets??.
Headache
"Don't stress yourself son, it's only down our neighbor street and she'll be back .
"Well, I have to keep on convincing myself that way".Ā
"You ought to fly to Mexico this weekend to check up on her parents' condition before it's too late.
"I'm planning to Gran, have rescheduled my business meetings for this weekend to get that done", I said while arranging my files on the table.
"Good, I'll leave you to work, don't forget to give your granny a peg on the cheek before you leave to the office", she ended not before we heard a knock on the door.
"Come in", I responded.Ā Paulina ,my PA came in . She was in a tight short sleeve yellow shirt and a pencil skirt. Her usual.
"Good morning ma'am, sir ", she greeted as granny welcome her with a handshake.
"Good morning dear, hope you are coping well with my grandson?",she asked.
"Uh- yes please", she replied.
"What brings you here?",Gran asked her.
"I was asked to come for some files to the office ma'am", Paulina said. She's always seen in clothes that so tight and cling on her body like second skin.
"Ohh.. I'll leave you guys to talk business while I go freshen down, feel comfortable. "Have you had breakfast already?",Gran asked her. Always caring .
"Yes please I'm okĀ ma'am, thank you", Paulina said still standing.
"Have a seat", I told her since she was still standing.
As a cue, Grandma left after I caught her winking at me then closed the door behind.
"Your grandma's nice to be with sir", I heard Paulina say.
I nodded my head in reply and quickly signed on the files I'd be giving to her to send to the office today. I've planned to issue them out to clients today .
"Your study is well organized and neat,I've never been here before",she said and laughed.
I wonder what was laughable about her comment.
"Miss Mundo,can you please arrange the files on shelf number 3 , count them a let me know their quantity while I finish with these set", I said pointing out to the one on my table.
"Alright sir,"she said as she stood up and sashayed to the shelf .
Within three minutes ,I was doneĀ signing on thirty copies of files when Paulina came in with the files she had arranged too.
"Boss, I'm done with everything", she said as sheĀ came close to where I was seated.
"Good , please pack them up in the folder let's move.
I stood up tucked my sleeves and buttoned it .
"Let me adjust your tie, it's crooked", with out any permission Paulina came standing right in front of me as she placed her hands around the collar on my chest. I wasn't comfortable with the idea that she always had the interest to fix my tie with her hands wrapped around my neck and on my arms without my permission.
My mind casted me back to Valeria.
Where's she?
I was voluntarily pulled by theĀ collar and by the time I realized a pair on brown orbs stared up at me. I hadn't realized the proximity between myself and Paulina. All I could see was a pool of chocolate brown orbs andĀ red painted lips until I heard the door opened, revealing Valeria looking at me with a shocked expression.
