Valeria's POV 🎉
"So.. Vale , how did you see your room,do you like it?", Lillian said as she fed her little son.
"Yeah, it's fine", I told her.
"I was wondering if you'd like me to renovate the furnishings in there", she said looking at me.
"Oh nevermind I think I'll manage".
"Right. You know what? . "I just can't believe I'm sitting here with New York's top class billionaire's daughter and model. "I've heard so much about you darling and I'm thrilled to see you in person", she said happily.
"Oh really?".
"Yes, I love watching your contest shows and videos on YouTube and on TV you know. "So tell me , what are your potentials or let's say ambitions?",she asked.
"Well... It is my potential to be a part of the movie industry someday, you know ,..become the world's number one famous and richest actress.
"Like wow!. That really is gonna fit you . " But what about your dad's company? ", she exclaimed.
"What about it?"
"Yes,I mean aren't you the next successor of Mel Brown's Group of Corporations?",she asked while feeding Nathan.
"You know... I'm not interested in being the next successor to my dad's company anymore". Though , my dad insists that I take care of the company after him ,but I still don't give a f*ck about it ." I wanna focus full time in my career, you know be famous across the globe."
"Woah like you're already a star and....you seem to be an ambitious kind of girl, I like you already",she said smiling, giving me a thumbs up while Nathan grinned at me . I was astonished to see a kid like him grin like that . Part of his physique really resembles Jevan.
I think he got the looks of his uncle.
Hm! That annoying jerk face.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I? "Nothing can stop me from pursing my objectives and goals."
"Exactly, that's what I'm talking about girl. "Unlike me,my objective was to be a full-time general nurse in the HR department. "But before I had Nate ,my husband died and I had to change my interest in order to perform parental responsibilities". "In which ,I think I've failed a million times. "Right now, I've decided to do part-time, you know run shifts so as to have quality time for my son also . "Even though I've
got Jevan by my side, I sometimes feel it isn't his responsibility to take care of my son though he plays a role in it anyway",she said and let out an audible sigh.
"Ooh..
"Mummy?, Nathan called.
"Yes sweetie",she responds.
"Please can I get my ice cream now?",he said pouting adorably.
"Of course baby go get your ice cream",she said as Nathan hurriedly stood up from his stool and went to open the fridge.
"Aha!.. this boy and vanilla. I remember his dad loved vanilla too, whereas I'm the exact opposite..hmm..",she said and let out an audible sigh.
"I'm sorry you lost your husband".
"Oh c'mon you don't have to". "You shouldn't be sorry". "Perhaps, I've got over it already, like over four years now. "I really miss him so much",she said as she smiled and shrugged.
"Well I'm kinda tired so I think I'm gonna head upstairs to have some rest", I said after I was done eating ,stood up and placed my plate in the sink.
I hope they've hired some house helps .Because well.. I can't use those pretty hands of mine to clean dirty stuffs like these. Hm!!
" Good night Valerie, I'm also going to check on Nate whether he's already gone to bed", Lillian said after she was done washing the dishes and cleaning them dry.
I just nodded and headed towards my supposed room.
But I won't say I hate it completely. If I'm to rate this room out of a hundred percent,I'll only give it a twenty percent.
You guys think I'm exaggerating right? .
Nope. That isn't the case . Just that, I miss my room back at our mansion. Maybe as time goes on, I might get used to this room .
I sat on my bed and turned on my iPhone 12 pro max.
Yeah classy isn't it?.
I checked the time and....
Woah!, Is it like nine pm
already?!
I unlocked my phone to see ten unread messages and twenty missed calls. Five messages and ten calls from Sylvia . The same applies to Bernice.
Shit! I forgot about them already.
I quickly dialed their numbers, merging their calls. Few seconds after their calls went through, they finally picked up.
"Hey watsup girl, how you doing". "We were damn worried about you". " Where the hell are you?", Sylvia asked .
"Yeah where you now". I've called and texted you about fifteen times now, "What the hell girl", Bennie said
"I'm really sorry about that girls. "I kinda forgot to turn on my phone.
"Yeayeah says the girl who missed fifteen of my calls and texts". " Bennie and I went to the hospital you were admitted to and we were told you got discharged fifteen minutes before our arrival . "So ,we decided to check up on you at home". "But , when we arrived at the mansion, we were informed by the security that you hadn't been home since your birthday night. "That really got us worried girl", Sylvia said.
"She's right". "So you better tell us your whereabouts". Tell us where you are hiding . Have you been kidnapped?", Bennie said frustratedly.
"No, it's just that I'm stuck somewhere but I think it isn't far from my mansion". "It could be about thirty to forty kilometers away or so I think... ".
"You should send us the address so we can come pick you up". "So tell us are you in a cottage or something? "Are your kidnappers that close to you? Sylvia asked alarmed.
"No silly, I'm not kidnapped by anyone. I'm just somewhere..you know. It's a long story but I'll tell you girls when I get the chance".
"Mmm..looks like someone found herself a secret lover within a short period of time", Bennie said sarcastically.
"Mmm.. ya know.., probably at the hospital . You know what I mean yeah..", Sylvia adds as they started to laugh out loud.
"Look! You girls should stop imagining things your own way right?.
"Like seriously, we are really sorry we have to be like this until you tell us about your little 'secret sweetheart'. Hehe..", Sylvia said as she giggled.
"Hmph! I'm beginning to hate you guys and the reason I called you back ugh!!
"Awww....But you know we love you to bits Valerie, hahaa", both of them said in unison.
"I gotta go, see you at work tomorrow".
"You too,we hope to see you tomorrow"., Sylvia said
"Till then Vale please take care of yourself and have enough rest so we can hang out tomorrow. Then you can tell us about "little secret", Bennie said in sarcasm.
"How do you know if I'm gonna tell you my whereabouts bitches". As soon as I finished my statement, they started to laugh their butts off as if I'm some kind comedian.
"By the way , Good night Vale, take care", Bennie said.
"Good night Ben , same to you".
"Yeah goodbye "little secret" ", Sylvia said.
"Shut up!", I yelled as I quickly cut the call and the line went dead.
After the call, I quickly went to change into my pajamas and threw myself on to the comfy bed to have a sound sleep drifting off to a world where there's no disturbance.
A world free from "Mr Annoying jerk face".
