Jevan's POV 🎊
I began cleaning up the mess immediately after she left.
I shook my head in amusement as I recall her childish stunts she always pulls .
I wonder if she's really a woman or an adult child.
After mopping the floor dry and putting things in order, I headed back to Nate's room.
I smiled when I spotted Nate by his desk, comfortably seated by his study desk probably sketching something on a drawing sheet. I already knew Nate had an interest in drawing,not that I taught him or his mom did,no? . He has the talent .
I tell you, that boy is full of surprises.
I hissed a little when I felt a slight pain at the back of my head but regained my posture.
"Daddy should we go eat now?!",Nate suddenly exclaimed bringing me out of any thoughts.
I never mind if my Nate calls me his daddy at times. I really know how it feels living without a parent or both parents, especially when you loose both . I'm an orphan speaking from experience. I'm glad I had my grandma later on in my childhood life to take care of me and then, Lillian and Nate. They're the only family I have left.
"Well...is someone really hungry?", I said to Nate .
"Yes!! I'm hungry, daddy",he said and quickly dropped down his pencil,got down from his seat and came by my side holding my hand.
"Ok let's head to the kitchen now and get you something to feed those taste buds", I said then carried his petite frame on my chest, opened the door and headed towards downstairs.
"Where's Ria?", I asked him knowing very well that she had to be in his room all this while but realized she wasn't there.
"She's going to her room", Nate said looking up at me.
"Uh right.. let's go have dinner", I said as he nodded at me while I ruffled his hair.
As soon as we entered the kitchen, I got Nate seated at the diner where I've set up the table then went to dish out the food for him on his plate. I thing I've noticed about Nate is, he hates been served in his baby bowls ,plates and been spoon- fed with his baby spoons. He already knows what's of his size and he goes for it.
Yeah talking of my big boy
"Guess what I made for dinner?", I asked him looking down at him.
"Creamy chichin Parmesan rice!", He happily exclaimed unexpectedly .
He always mispronounce the word "chicken" as "chichin". I shook my head at him as I smiled,then placed his meal in front of him on the table.
"Good boy, let's now dig in ,can you?", I asked.
He nodded as he said a little prayer then took his spoon to dig in . He's an expect I tell you. Sometimes I wonder if he's really a three year old. He's too smart for his age. I ruffled his hair a little, careful not to mess it up and sat next to him at he scooped some amount of rice and ate.
I sighed in relief when Valeria came to the kitchen heading towards the fridge. My eyes widened when I realized the kind of nightgown she had on. A very see through transparent red nightgown. I quickly pried my eyes of her fast looking elsewhere clenching and unclenching my jaws, then swallowed hard.
What the hell!! .
After taking a bottle of water,she turned around to leave but I quickly stopped her .
"Apple,please join us for dinner", I said not looking at her. I looked at Nate to see if he's watching but it seems he was too engrossed in eating than anything.
"I'm not hungry",she said too quickly about to move an inch away but then a loud growl came from somewhere,not from the mouth either or our side where we were seated.
I looked at Valeria to find her with her hand on her tummy as she stood there with a bottle of water in hand.
I grinned when I realized that sound came from nowhere but her stomach.
Damn! What a sound. She might be hungry.
But then, I felt bad for making her starve that long. I wonder if she took lunch in the afternoon.
"You should eat you know", I said to her pointing at her meal opposite me.
"Shut up",she whispered yelled then to my surprise, headed towards our way. I tried not to look at what she wore underneath as she approached our table.
Damnit this girl had the guts to wear this in front of myself and a kid?. She could've shown a little bit decency.
I shook my head then looked at her through my lashes as she sat down with a huff with her cleavage on display.
I'll make sure she explains this right after dinner. Just not now.
I sighed and quickly got up to open her plate of creamy chicken parmesan pasta. I made it for us considering Nate can't eat it. That's why I made his rice, the only thing that varies.
She looked at me then at the food then at me back again. I signaled her to proceed which she returned with rolling her eyes.
I shrugged and ate what's left on my plate whiles Nate ate his. I looked up to check if Valeria has began eating,and indeed she was eating like she had been starved for days.
I was a little taken aback but composed myself. At least,she listened to me for once and I'm glad she did. I let out a sigh of relief then proceeded to eat the portion of veggies I had left quickly.
"Daddy?", Nate called.
"Yes dear", I said looking at him.
"Look! I cleared my plate",Nate said happily with some scrapes of food evident on the corner of his mouth.
"Well done blue", I said ruffling his hair carefully not to mess it up.
I quickly wipe the corners of his mouth with a tissue, looked on his plate to find absolutely nothing left on it and I was impressed. Nate loves whatever I cook for him .He usually doesn't eat all his meals except for what I make for him or that I've noticed .
I took a tissue from the other side of the table to quickly wipe off the excess food from his mouth ,got up a threw in the trash can.
"Nate? "What say we clean up our plates?
"Yes! I'm in for it', he said and quickly jumped off his chair while I held both his plate and mine's as we went headed to the sink trying to avoid Valeria's intense gaze on me.
"Apple are you done? Come join us get your plates cleaned", Nate insisted as Valeria who was absent-mindedly tapping away on her phone looking at him upon hearing him referring to her.
"Aw Nate honey..I absolutely don't like to clean up my plates after eating, it's kinda gross",she said faking to gag. I silently rolled my eyes.
The little boy gasped silently, his jaw dropping, utterly surprised to what his hearing. This went unnoticed by Valeria because she was busily tapping on her phone. I wasn't too surprised as to what she said because I knew the kind of treatment she's given, like a princess, even her own parents worshipped her like an idol.
"Who does the cleaning?",he asked curiously.
"My numerous house helps do that bitchy job of course, blue", she said
"Bitchy... what's that?", Nate looked right at me to find out but I chose to change subject.
"Nate why don't you help me get these cutleries into their respective places? Mm?
"Whatever", he said but complied.
After we were done cleaning, I served them desserts ,a vanilla bean cheese cake for Nate , an apple pie for Valeria and left a chocolate mousse for Lillian.
I took just a bottle of water for myself as I watched them eat. I usually don't take desserts after main meals when it's late.
I took my laptop and quickly re opened sent emails , replied to the numerous ones then started to prepare my presentations for the upcoming meetings I'll be having with my clients. I was distracted with Valeria's silent moans which came out frequently. I looked opposite me to find her with eyes closed and licking her lips with a smile . I knew she loved anything made with apples from the first day I saw her at the restaurant but I didn't know that an apple pie could make her moan that much
to the point of distracting me.
"Mummy!! ", Nate suddenly exclaimed with happiness upon seeing his mother.
I looked towards the door to find a very exhausted sister of mine in her pyjamas heading towards Nate with her arms stretched as she enveloped him in an embrace after making her presence known to everyone.
"Aww my baby blue, I've missed you so much", Lillian said still hugging Nate close, then pegged him on his temple.
"Missed you too momma", Nate said clinging to his mom.
After Lillian made her presence known,she came to my side of the table and sat down with a huff clearly feeling famished.
"Hello Val," she said as Valeria who seemed engrossed in her phone finally looked away from it .
"Oh hi? Umm... sorry I didn't see ya", Valeria said as Lillian smiled.
"Nevermind dear,I can see you are too engrossed watching what your cellphone has to offer you than to notice",I heard Lillian but Valeria shrugged her comment off like it was stupid.
" Mummy ? Apple gave me a bath today", Nate said.
"Who?", Lillian seemed to misunderstand who "Apple" was . I had the urge to beat Nate to it from voicing out who "Apple" was but too bad this little guy was fast to do that pointing at Valeria as she glared at me.
"Oh really?!."I guess that's her Nickie or?.
"Uncle Jevan named her "Apple",Nate said grinning at me while I was a little bit taken aback.
Here in the case I thought he had no clue where the name I gave her came from. I'll have to keep in mind to be extra careful when I'm with this guy!
I could feel Lil's devlish smirks but I ignored focusing on my work at hand.
Anyways, did you remember to appreciate?", I heard Lil say to Nate as I got up to fetch her food which had been heated from the oven. After it was cooled, I served her.
" Thank you mini bear", she said blowing kisses my way,winked while I glared at her, my cheeks heating up in embarrassment as I felt Valeria's stare on me.
Damn you Lil
"Aren't you gonna tell me to stop calling you that?", Lil asked me as she scooped food into her mouth.
I rolled my eyes then shook my head as I kept on typing some messages on my laptop.
I looked through my lashes to find Valeria smirking at me.
Aaa.. oh? Is she smirking at me?
" Take a break Jev, you seem so stressed out," Lillian said.
" I could say the same to you, you look awfully exhausted", I said.
" Well..,I'm not the one working here. I'm so right if I say your shoulders are tensed right now. "You should let someone offer you a massage this time", she said as I looked at her from the corner of my eyes.
I shook my head in disapproval.
"Valeria would you mind to do me a favor?", Lillian asked
"Um, I don't get you though", Ria said.
"Give Jevan a massage", Lillian said with a wink at me. I have no idea what kind of game she's playing at but I know for sure that it's not going to work.
I cleared my throat to bring everyone's attention.
"We'll be taking a flight to New Jersey early tomorrow", I said while I looked at Valeria on the face as she held a shocked expression.
"Way to kill the mood Jevan, you know we know that right? ", Lillian said as she rolled her eyes.
"I know but I want it clear to everyone this evening". I shrugged off after I said that.
"What? Are you...um..", Ria began to say but stopped midsentence looking at Lillian and Nate with her eyes wide as she pursed her lips tight .
Uhuh! I know exactly what you are about to say buh too bad I got my family here to save me from those leashes of insults you throw my way.
I grinned at her as soon as she connected eyes with me as the others were eagerly waiting for her to continue what she wanted to say.
"Perhaps, do you have any thing to say Ria", Lillian asked looking at her as Ria looked at her with dilated pupils.
"Um, nothing , I"m kinda tired. I think I''ll head towards my room now",she said as she held a fake smile on her face .
"Oh alright honey but I really appreciate your help with Nate today. "Thank you", Lillian said.
"Well..as long as a bruise didn't form on both hands, it's fine. "Good night blue, Good night Lil",she said with a fake smile but Lillian never seemed to notice it because she never experienced the 'real' Valeria.
"Good night Val, sleep tight", they'll responded together.
After she left, I felt Lillian stare at me from the side. I turned to look at her on the face to find her grinned devilishly at me .
I raised my brow giving her a questioning look then to a glass of water taking a sip.
"Duh...duh..You keep checking her out all the way till she disappeared from the entrance",she said coincidentally , slightly making me choke on the water,I coughed a little , sipping some water before I became relieved.
"Lillian?", I called in a warning tone then sighed.
"Yes little pervert?",she said innocently.
"What?. Don't ever call me that!", I whispered yelled shaking my head, considering Nate being fast asleep with his head on the table.
"Why shouldn't I? . Any man can be easily seduced by what you just saw wearing that very transparent nightwear". "But I like her demeanor though, it's fun. I need someone like her to shake up my boring brother and I'm happy God answered my prayers", Lil said picking up a sleeping Nate from his seat then carrying him on her chest.
"Really? For your information, I'll never be affected by her appearance". "I know her background after all, she's just a spoilt brat and a self centered woman".
"Hm! says the one who checked her out a while ago",Lil said then winking at me.
"Told you I wasn't", I whispered to her still typing away on my laptop.
"Liar...,liar...," Lillian sang along as she headed towards the entrance.
"Whatever", I whispered my shaking my head trying to concentrate on filling up documents on MS project.
"Well we're off to bed, Good night little pervert ", Lillian said with fits of laughter then finally disappeared to my relief.
Man!, Lil can be such a tease at times.
I rubbed my temples in frustration loosing concentration already.
"Maybe I just need to catch up on some sleep tonight then continue tomorrow cause the documents is a hell lot.
I rubbed my drooping eyes and shut down my laptop, stood up and took it with me making sure to turn off the lights before heading upstairs,off to my room.

Sorry for the late update guys. I was kinda really busy from last month till now that's why I couldn't bring you updates. But, I can assure you that I'll try my best if I get any chance from my busy schedules to give you more interesting updates from time to time.
