'Souls don't meet by accident, they collide by a written fate.'
The moment I realize the sun setting in my office, I know it's time.
I don't know how I feel about what I am doing but I guess time will only tell.
What matters in this life is following our hearts.
That's what I have been doing for the past few months.
I would hate for myself in the future to look back at this time and wonder the what if?
What if I have done that differently?
I sigh relievedly as I step out of my seat and walk out of my office.
I walk to the cabin of Samantha and I stop on my truck when I hear her talking with someone.
I lean on the entrance of her door and listen.
"Okay, so you won't be telling a soul right? Not even Lucas nor my family?" I distinguish that voice as Samantha's instantly. I would realize her voice even in my sleep.
"Samantha you are my best friend and they aren't so, spill the tea already. Anyway, who is this boy that has you all on the edge?" The person that she is talking to asks her.
"A man Leila, not a boy." She replies and it brings a big smile to my face.
I have always felt insecure about the age difference between me and Samantha but hearing her speak of it proudly like that comfortably settles my heart.
"Please tell me it's no sugar daddy?" The other woman asks and I wait patiently for Samantha's answer.
"So, uhm uh." I hear the hesitation in her voice.
"Am uh, am dating Kai Leila." She says and my heart skips a beat.
I think having her admit it to someone that we are dating proves to me of how committed she is to this.
But regardless I have never doubted her for even a second. Samantha is a transparent mirror to me, I love that she is so open to me and she doesn't hide anything from me.
"Kai who?" Her friend asks and I zone out and come back in concentration on their conversation.
"Kai Royal Leila, are you going to pretend you don't know the guy? It's my boss."
"Yes, am trying to get it in my mind that we are talking about the same Trenton."
"Jesus, tell me you are kidding?" Her friend asks and I purse my lips not knowing why she is surprised.
"Leila, you are not making sense, is something wrong?"
"Yes, something is wrong Sam. Do you know how many times I only dreamt and worse fantasized about fucking him? God, I can't just believe you landed him for yourself, that's a big fish." The girl says to Samantha and I again wait for Sam's response on that.
I know her friend is not the only female in this building who wants to have an affair with me so hearing it from her doesn't budge me but I want to know what Samantha thinks about it.
"First ew, Leila that's my man now. Better watch what you say about him. Second, yes I landed him. He is my boyfriend and am his girlfriend." She says and I grin proudly and so lovingly of her.
'Yes, that is my girl that I know of.'
"So tell me you fucked him that weekend you spent together? God now I can rest peacefully knowing you didn't waste my energy of covering for you. I would have felt bad if you were to have wasted it." Her friend asks but Samantha doesn't reply.
"Now tell me how you gave him your V-card, gosh sam spill it out." Her friend asks again but her question doesn't come as a surprise to me because knowing Samantha is still a virgin is something I learned off long ago.
Quite the reason why I vowed to myself to never touch her again not when she is eighteen at least.
But her still being a virgin, it's something so beautiful and pure that I respect her for.
Because how many of us are strong and capable of getting to that age when we have held ourselves back?
"We didn't do anything like that." She replies and I know I have to cut on eavesdropping and make myself known.
"What?" Her friend asks but before she continues or Samantha says something else I interrupt them.
"Ladies?" They all turn to look at me and I smile at them before I say.
"May I steal you for a moment?" I ask staring at Samantha so she knows it's her I am referring to.
She nods her head and I watch as she unsurely stands up and follows me as I make my way to my office.
I walk in there and turn to look at her. "Hey, darling," I say and she smiles.
"Hey." I walk back to her and take her in my arms.
"I missed you," I say in her neck and she pulls back.
"Really?" She asks looking surprised and I smile.
I can't blame here because she knows how to express herself freely and so fully to me that I always know know how she feels while me on the other side I have never been good with words.
But for her am learning to come around.
"I missed you so much. Tell me are you ready for the surprise? It's surprise time." I say and I watch the exciting glint gleam on her face.
I realize I will have to keep arranging a surprise for her every time if it means I get to make her this happy.
"Where is it?" She asks.
"Yeah, are you ready? We are heading to my suite first." She smiles.
"Beat me there." She says and at first I don't understand it.
"Let's race there Kai." She says and I shake my head.
"No, no drive safely and carefully I will let you win still," I say to her and she laughs.
"What does that even mean?"
She asks. "You are no fun."
I cup her cheek in my palm and look into her eyes as I say.
"I would hate for you to get in an accident just because we are racing for no reason. Just drive carefully and when we reach home tell me what a winner deserves and I will give it to you." I say to her before I lean in and kiss her a slow sweet kiss.
"Let's go," I say and we pull away.
She walks out first but when I do, I don't get to look for her because I know we will be meeting at my suite.
So I head out like I always do without turning left or right to talk to anyone and head in my car.
I drive to the hotel and walk to my suite, Samantha is already there.
"Where is the surprise?" She asks and I smile.
I ask for her hand and she gives it to me, I lead her to my room.
I switch on the light and she gasps when she realizes what lies there on the bed.
"What is this?" She asks as she has her hands covering her mouth.
I try to learn the look on her face but it's pure pleasure.
She turns to ask me.
"What is going on?"
"What do you think?" I ask back and she shakes her head.
"I don't know. What is this beautiful dress doing here?" She asks then she walks closer to it and runs her fingertips on it.
I look at her priceless smile and the look that is on her face and it appeases me so much.
I put my hands in my pocket feeling good with my work, well half mine but it's still somehow my work.
"We are going out, baby," I say and she turns to look at me.
"Out where?" She asks but am not telling her because that would no longer be a surprise.
"I hope you are good with makeup," I say and show her the box she hasn't seen yet that is on the top of the bed too beside the dress.
She raises her eyebrows in questioning and I move my head showing her the box beside the dress.
"Oh, I haven't seen that." She says but I already knew.
She walks to it and opens it.
"Oh my God, Kai where are we going?" She asks and I just smile.
"There are the shoes in there too," I say pointing to the box on the floor below the bed.
She walks around to go and see and when she sees it, she first turns to look at me before she opens it.
"Oh, I like these." I walk closer to her and hug her from behind.
I lean and lay a kiss on her neck.
"Would you glam up for me tonight darling?" I ask slowly in my deep voice so whispery in her ear.
I move my hands up on her arms slowly and teasingly and the same tension that is always there in her body when I touch her fills her up.
I can feel goosebumps all over her skin where I am touching her.
I kiss her left ear before I say.
"Get ready," I say to her and pull away and she turns to look at me.
I nod at her before I walk to my closet to retrieve the new set of tux that I bought with shoes before I walk back into my room.
"You have one hour and a half darling," I say to Samantha as I walk to where she is still standing looking like a lost sheep.
I kiss her on the cheek.
"Use it wisely."
I say and head out of the room leaving it to her to do with it as she pleases.
It's five getting to six and I want seven to be leaving here to make it in time to where we are going so I hope Samantha gets ready quickly.
I walk into the other room in my suite, it's a suite with two rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room that is attached to a kitchen so I get in the other and get ready too.
It's by thirty minutes that I am ready to go but I know Samantha probably still needs her fair time to glam up.
I head into the living room and text my sister.
The dress, shoes, handbag, fragrances, and makeup are all the work of my sister.
She bought them and shipped them to me in the small amount of time I told her that I needed them.
I text her a thank you message and wait for Samantha.
It takes another half an hour to forty minutes till I hear the door open and I turn to glance at it.
The person walking out of the room is not Samantha because that is not her.
It's an angel falling from heaven.
I hold my breath when I see her smile at me fearfully.
She is wearing a white gown that reaches all the way down and sprays a little behind her but not that dramatic enough to cause her any commotion while walking with others.
She looks like a princess, I allow my eyes to wander and so does my mind as I ponder upon the moment right now being the moment of her walking down the aisle to me.
But thinking of that makes me snap out of it and shake my head a little to get that weird thought out of my head.
Samantha is barely legal yet and I am thinking of her walking down the aisle to me but it's hard not to let my mind wander with her looking like she is looking now.
She runs her palms all over the gown before she asks. "How do I look? You haven't said anything since I stepped out?" She asks looking nervously and I want to frown.
Her body would be easily worshiped because it's a piece of beautiful art that God made for us and she is worried about how she looks.
"You look ravishingly stunning beautiful," I say and her smile grows.
"Really?" She asks again and I nod.
"Then take me some photos." She says and I nod.
She hands me her phone and she starts posing for them.
I realize her taking pictures is so natural for her.
She doesn't have to wait for me to tell her to change poses because she knows exactly when to change and what to change to.
She switches backgrounds, in short words she takes pictures at every angle of the suite.
I tell her we are getting late and then she forces me to pose with her together and take some pictures with her in the mirror.
I didn't even know that was possible until she showed me how to do them.
"So will I need the phone or should I leave it here?" She asks when we are about to leave the hotel.
"It's your choice baby," I say kissing her neck and she nods her head before saying.
"Am leaving it here." She says and then leaves it at the coffee table before she walks back to me, with a beautiful smile on her face she says to me.
"I want tonight to be about just the two of us." She comes to me and puts her arm in mine.
I want to lean and kiss her but I am afraid of messing her lipstick before we even got anywhere so I settle for the forehead.
"Let's go," I say and we head out of the hotel.
We get glances down at the lobby but we ignore them and walk out.
I hired a chauffeur to drive us in my Rolls Royce and we found him outside at the entrance.
He nods his head at me before he opens the door for us.
I first help Samantha in before I head in after her.
The drive to where we are going is done in silence and when the car starts to decrease its speed, I watch as Samantha turns to stare sideways outside trying to make out where we at.
The driver parks the car and then gets out to get out the door.
I smile at Samantha before I ask.
"Are you ready?" She lets out a nervous breath that comes with a faint chuckle.
"Ready for what?" I just grin before I get out of the car and give her my hand to take so she can come out.
Her hand is so soft, so cold and so sweaty.
I help her out of the car and I turn to smile at her.
"Just follow my lead, darling. I got you." I say to her to try to calm her down and she nods her head at me with a smile on her face.
I bring her hand on my arm and then we walk to the entrance of the. building.
There are a lot of others making their way in but as we walk and Samantha her arm is hooked in mine. I feel her nervous getting down on bay slowly by slowly.
We are here in the place of Mr Adams, he gave me this invite a few weeks ago telling me he wouldn't want to come here alone and he can't bring his wife because she is pregnant which hasn't been easy for her.
I allowed but the thought of bringing Samantha with me came last week when she was whining about us not seeing each other the whole week.
We reach the entrance and I turn to show our invite to the door guards before we continue walking in the building.
"Kai, where is this place? Who are all these people?" I turn to Samantha and say to her.
"These are all people in the politics. It's a merging celebration, these happen a lot sometimes where people in the politics meet and merge their connections as they celebrate and relax." I look at her and she nods her head.
"But I just want you to take this night as our official date out in public. Let's enjoy the night together baby. Even though some activities may bore you when it comes to giving some speeches." I say and she smiles at me.
"As long you will be by my side, I will be fine." She says and I nod.
We are in a public criticizing environment where each of our moves is being watched so I just nod at her before I lead her to our table.
There are some ministers, highly qualified soldiers, and businessmen on our table but I don't pay them attention because my attention was stolen by the angel on my left.
We sit down as the ceremony starts and am surprised at how comfortable Samantha seems during the whole night.
Now and then she turns to whisper to me and say something funny to me that makes me grin, smile, and laugh as much as I anticipated.
Samantha is not an ordinary girl and every second we spend together she never fails to always remind me of it.
The speech time ends and they invite a group of entertainers to entertain the night.
Samantha turns to look at me at me as the third song comes.
"May I have this dance, darling?" She asks in a small voice with a beautiful smile on her face.
I look at her then her hand, then away a little as I think about it.
I turn back to her and say.
"But am a bad dancer."
She smirks and then stands up from her seat.
"And am a good one." She says as she brings her hand forward for me to take. I would never dream to refuse her when she is already up so I stand and put mine in hers and allow her to lead on the dance floor.
We aren't the first ones because there are some people dancing.
Samantha puts her one hand on my shoulder keeps the other in mine and guides me to the beat.
We sway slowly to the melody in the background.
Every time our eyes locks, she would smile at me the kind of smile that I have grown to engrave in my head because every night I am about to fall asleep I picture it in my head and let it take me to wonderland world.
Samantha's become my addiction lately and my life hasn't had a meaning for such a long time but ever since this girl came she changed tables around without even realizing it in my life.
I can not picture my life without her anymore because that's not even life anymore to me.
They change the melody and our gaze meets.
I smile at her before I lean in and say in her ear.
"Samantha, have you changed my life? You gave my life the lightness that I never want to lose. I want you to always be right here with me in my arms baby. Please cuddle me with your adoration so that I become a prisoner to you baby." I say and I pull back to look at her.
She has an adoration look in her eyes and she tries to smile at me but I guess my words just made her emotional.
I smile and nod at her encouragingly to hold it in and not cry in front of this old people.
'Oh, darling only if you knew how imprisonment you already got me.
Am a sinner falling in a depth of a sinful love that I don't know what kind of prison will be able to manage my sins.'
We sway slowly together in the middle of the night while gazing at the connections and feelings we have for each other in one another's gaze.
The night becomes a more blissful night than I imagined and I feel good when we get to leave Samantha says while we are in the car.
"Thank you for tonight kai,"
"Thank you for giving me a good time and for taking me out publicly as your date." She says and I smile at her as i lean in to kiss her.
"This is only the beginning darling."
