I looked down to the tattoo engraved into my wrist in wonder before I looked back up to the training facility.
"I'll at least put you to use before selling you for some extra cash."
I said while looking at my wrist.
Why was I even talking to an inanimate object in the first place? These dreams must've really messed with me lately.
I walked to the private facility and peered through the window to make sure nobody was using it.
If I remember correctly I saw Fukuyo go into the other training room about 15 minutes ago so it wasn't too long ago. She might've still been in the room so I chose the other to not infringe on her.
I made my way to the second room and on my way there I heard the sound of crystalline ice shattering from the room Fukuyo was in.
'She must be working hard.'
From what I know, the Yukimura family rules over the mountain city of Yama.
Back before the war they had Japanese roots, and their ancestral family made a contract with a horned virtuoso which resulted in them becoming Scions.
That was all I knew about that myth and all I knew about her family too.
After thinking to myself for a bit I opened the door to the training room. The inside was completely covered with grey padded walls and the floor and ceiling were grey concrete.
The lighting in the room was provided by light strips that lined the entire room making for a very bright yet somewhat dim room.
"This will work."
I said with a grin.
I turned around and sealed the door shut, in order to get some privacy. I rolled up my sleeves and put on my black gloves provided with the uniform Aethra gave us.
"Let's test out this RC technique the monolith showed me."
I was currently aiming to recreate what I saw in my visions earlier. The visions of a man pulling white light from the heavens, or the ones tearing apart the land with the dark flames of hell.
I could work with both.
I just needed something to give me strength, something that would garner me some respect from my peers.
My eyes started to radiate a white glow and the air around me had started to move with it being affected by the RC.
My hair blew in the wind created by my power and soon enough flickers of white could be seen forming in the air.
I was getting somewhere.
Not a lot of progress but it's better than none at all I guess. The energy released from my body wasn't all that powerful but compared to what I had been only a couple weeks ago I must've grown more powerful by at-least tenfold.
I focused on the "threads" of energy produced by RC and tried to rip apart and discharge the molecules in the air in order to create a flash of lightning.
My eyes grew brighter and the air around me had started releasing pressure onto my surroundings.
After countless attempts I finally managed to create the white lightning I saw in my visions, although this version wasn't nearly as powerful as that man's.
It was progress.
After I managed to create it and hold it for up to 30 minutes I let go.
"Haa-this gets tiring fast."
I was out of breath and drenched with sweat. I needed to increase my stamina and RC level somehow.
I wasn't sure how to do that right now but I could ask for some tips from Naomi. Or I could go and ask Jonathan for some jobs for some extra cash in order to buy more gear.
Though I found that guy really annoying.
"Ugh- even thinking about him annoys me, I should just get back to practicing."

"How the hell am I supposed to answer this?!"
Yelled out a girl wearing glasses.
She was pulling her own blonde hair in a dimly lit room sitting at her desk. Her desk was somewhat kept clean with bits of a mess here and there but the attracting factor was her lamp.
It was elegant and calming to observe. It's simplicity and complexities made for a beautiful piece of art.
"Ahhhhhh this is so annoying!"
Thud-
The girl slammed her desk and the lamp fell to its doom and shattered all over the floor.
"Ah-"
The girl stared at her fallen lamp in shock and regret. Her foolish actions caused such an elegant object to meet its end.
"Mom is gonna kill me. That was a gift from her before I left to study in Aethra."
The girl then looked up at her desk which now had papers scrambled all over it. She gritted her teeth and started to pull her hair again.
"Buuuuuut she's gonna kill me if I don't get a good grade on this either."
She looked at her phone with a tired expression until suddenly her eyes brightened up. Her eyes sparkled with joy as she had come up with the greatest academic plan ever.
A study group.
"I know the perfect people to call."
She said with a grin before reaching to her phone.

Bzzzzzzt-
Bzzzzzzt-
'Huh? Was my phone ringing?'
I headed over towards my backpack whilst wiping the sweat off of my face and neck. Opening the bag I reached in and pulled out my phone.
'Unknown number?'
I raised one eyebrow in confusion but answered the call nonetheless to tell them they had the wrong person.
Beep-
"Ah-hello you must have the wro- eh?"
"Oh you're actually still up Keir?"
I recognized this voice.
"Jenna? How do you have my number?"
"Oh Kiran gave it to me a while ago with a weird grin on his face."
What the hell was she talking about? Did my best friend really just give my number out to people with grins? I had to talk to him the next time I saw him.
"That fucker…anyways what are you calling for this late?"
I said with a facepalm.
"Ah I was needing some help with assignments so I was calling a few of my friends to see if they wanted to get a study group together."
My eyes opened up at her statement.
"Study group? What subjects?"
"All of them."
This felt weird, the rank #1 student in academics was asking for help.
"Well I have no issues with joining I guess."
"Ah really?!"
Jenna asked with excitement.
"Yes but under one condition."
"State your price."
The lips of my mouth curled into a smile before I stated what I wanted. It needed to be something I needed, not often do you see a Scion doing a favor for some random kid.
"Do you have anything that can increase stamina?"
Jenna paused before giving me an answer.
"Hmmm no I don't currently think I have anything like that right now, but I could refer you to a friend that specializes in that kind of thing."
"Oh that can work. Thank you Jenna! I'll join the study group whenever you guys meet."
I said with satisfaction.
"Mhm glad to be of some help, I'll text you the information before I head off to bed then. Have a good night Keir."
"Thanks again Jenna, have a good night as well."
I hung up the phone with a glad expression. It was great that I was able to make some connections with Jenna and such since she has even more connections. Plus she's just a really kind person overall.
'What time is it now?'
I raised my wrist and looked at the time projected.
2:00 AM|
"Oh dear, I should really head back to my dorm."
I didn't realize that much time passed since I started training. If I went any longer I'd probably be drained for quite a while.
It was time to head back.

Bzzzzzzt-
"Hm?"
A text rang out on a phone inside of a training room. The girl in there had frosted nearly half of the room with just one attack.
Her white hair perfectly matched her surroundings and her icy eyes gave off a cold and graceful aura.
She walked towards her phone and picked it up. Holding it up to her face she read a text from Jenna.
'Fukuyo, I know you must be training this late at night but I had a thought. What if we started a study group for us all to use when needed?'
After scanning over the text Fukuyo took her phone and replied quickly with an aloof expression.
'Sure, sounds good.'
Fukuyo then put her phone down and got her belongings gathered before heading out of the building. As she walked back to her dormitory, she looked at the sky for a moment before continuing her walk.
'So peaceful and serene.'
