The engine of the car sounded so close, suddenly the sound stopped and I immediately felt the heated air pass through my legs. After few seconds of hearing nothing I slowly opened my eyes,

The door opens and Zachary himself stepped out, he walks up to me looking so angry
"Give it." He said dragging the bag out of my hand, he turned back to the car.
"Get out from the way before I carry you out myself" he said before he got inside the car
It worked.
I stepped out of the way and watched them drive out. I was so overjoyed that my lips curved to a smile, one of my realest smile ever
"Yes!" I unconsciously yelled and immediately looked around to see if someone heard me but it was only thetwo men standing in front of the door I could see, maybe they did hear me but the weren't staring at me.
I walked to the building
"Splended morning to you both, have a nice day" I said to them before entering inside.
Helena needs to hear about my improvement
I climbed the grand stairs thinking of many places I could go when I get my freedom back.
I will travel the world
I closed the door behind me and quickly went inside for my phone. It didn't take much for me to find it and immediately typed her contact and it started ringing
"Hey Geny, are you okay?" she quickly asked on picking my call
"Yes I am. As a matter of fact I'm very okay, it's working Helena. I think your plan is working"
"He has finally let you go out alone?" she asked with excitement
"Well...No, at least not yet. But there have been improvement"
"Did he get you your job back?"

"If the improvement isn't you getting your job back or gaining your freedom back, then it isn't an improvement at all."
"Helena.."
"I'm sorry. I know the truth hurts but whatever you think you are doing that is an improvement, it isn't...you need to do better. It sounded like she was holding back her tears, same as me.
"I know" I said, doing my possible best not to cry.
"Genesis.." she called after I'd fall silent, trying to bite down the tears that threatened to fall down my cheeks

"We love you so much, and we will always be here for you." She finished. I just couldn't help it anymore
"Thank you" I replied with a cracked voice.
"You can do this. If you feel that there is an improvement then they improvement isn't for from you anymore. Okay tell me what happened."
I narrated everything that happened both last night and today to her

"Oh! That is...an improvement" she said, getting us to both burst to laughter. We finally stopped laughing and silent fell afterwards,
"It won't take long for you to get a freedom back" she suddenly spoke, reassuring me.

I was now left all alone, bored in this big house.

I quickly went down, walking up and down in search of someone to talk to and finally I saw her, as soon as she saw me she stood still with a jug on her hand.
She is new, I think because I haven't seen her before.
"Good morning Ma'am" she greeted.
"Hey.." I replied cheerfully whuch made her to smile, and just as fast the smile disappeared like she was scared of smiling.
"Do you need anything, Ma'am" she quickly asked with her head slightly bent avoiding eye contact.
"I sure do. Firstly, could you raise your head and look at me straight in the eye because I'm just a human being like you. I don't bite..." I paused, patiently waiting for how to summon the courage to and when she eventually did isomer to her before I continueed,
".. Secondly, I need your company. But for that to be possible we'll need to be familiar with our names. I'm Genesis, and you are?" I asked
"Martha.. I'm Martha ma'am" she stammered a little
"Genesis" I corrected, giving her the look that she should try saying it.
"Genesis" she repeated freely
"Now try saying it after introducing yourself"
"I'm Martha ma'am.. Genesis" I smiled to her struggle of saying my name.
"Good. Now we know each other's names can we do something fun"
"Fun?" She asked looking surprised of the at the same time confused
"Yes, something fun"
"Like?"
"I dont know, we could play a game if there is any"
"Urrmm" she thinks
Of course. How would there be? In the house where that creep lives
"I doubt there's any, but it's fine..." She politely cuts me off
"There is one." She said
"There is? Which is?" I'm surprised at the same time curious on how that's even possible
"The game of chess. Mr. Logan plays it with his guest most of the times he visits. I guess it's his favorite" she finally said something longer than "Yes ma'am" or "No ma'am" she normally says. I like that she is becoming free around me.
"Is it?" I asked
How did she know that if she is new? I guess she isn't
Because, that information is new to me
I didn't know that, that proud fellow could also lower his proud shoulders down to play a game.
"I'd only seen them once though, but I hear it's a routine for them whenever he visits. Well, except for today"
"Wow seriously I didn't know. We could play that. Go get the game, I will be waiting."
"Okay ma'am. I'll drop this jug and on my way I'll fetch the game and meet you at the garden"

"Okay. I'll be waiting" I repeated before she left.
I walked slowly to the garden because like she said it wasn't far from where we stood.
"Beautiful" I unconsciously said to myself seeing the beauty of nature in just one moderate garden house. The beautiful plants, the colorful flowers, each specie on each different rows blooming as never before. The sun reflection touching each and every one of the plants, planted in the garden. Seems like they were just watered not too long ago because they're roots were soaked wet and it never rained.
I never knew something as beautiful as this lives under the same roof with me and I'm just seeing it for the first time.
"It is beautiful, isn't it ma'am..." I heard mata say and I quickly turn to her on hearing her call me ma once again
"Genesis" she corrected herself immediately
"Very.." I paused
"Significantly, it reminds me of myself before all this." I said waving my hands to her, more like I was trying to show her something
"Can I ask you something?" She said walking up to me with the chess board and chesd piece on her hands
"Sure"
"What were you like before Mr. Logan" she asked causing me to turn to her looking surprised
I am surprised. Especially by the question, coming from someone who was scared to look at me straight in the eyes how many minutes ago.
I think she is getting too close.
"Set the game" I said ignoring the question as I walked to the garden bench and sat on it. She immediately obeyed sitting beside me, she started setting the game.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked such question, I shouldn't have dead" I apologized, scolding hers.
"It's fine. By the way I was the one who insisted on you being free around me" I replied looking up at her making her to quickly lower her head avoiding eye contact once again.
"So... For that I'll give you an answer to your question" I really didn't want her losing herself, not after trying to help get it.
"I.. I was free.." I stopped, I looking away from her, I took my time in inhaling air down my lungs as my past memories came flashing through my head so fast, in a split of a second.
"Fun and happy..." I call code staring at the beauty of nature
"Not very, but I was...happy" I made more emphasis on the word 'Was'
"I usually go out with my friends then, they're the best."
"You should see me then, with them" I chuckled again and my eyes began to feel hot as tears threatened to fill in them
"But I'm fine now too. We get to meet a new version of ourselves in every step of our lives"
I had to stop before I begin cry in front of her, that would be so awkward and inconveniencing. By the way, I promised myself not to cry for the disaster Zachary has done in my life but rather embrace it and use it to make myself stronger.
"Don't you think?" I finally turned to her forcing a smile on my face
"True ma'am.. Genesis" She immediately corrected herself getting me to chuckle because of her innocent mistakes.
"It just need a getting used to" I assured her
"Now, what do we have here?" I said as I stared at the game of chess already arranged accordingly by her.
"Go on..make your first move" I lured her in.
