It was dark but thankfully the street light brightened everywhere. I rang the bell of the mini gate making the sure my face showed in the camera close to the bell with that his bouncers securing the gate would know who's at the gate. The gate was opened for me immediately and I walked in
"Good day ma'am" I heard. For the first time one of his bouncers spoke to me which made me smile
"Please I'm Genesis" I said but he didn't reply any further as he stood guard in his position.
"Okay…Good day to you too." I said as I started my journey to the building cause it's a long one unlike any other compound. Finally I reached the entrance of the building so the door was opened for me by a bouncer. I will seriously need to get used to this giant men in every corner of the house. I got into the house and walked straight to the grand stairs but then…
"Where have you been?" His voice came suddenly so I was startled, I turned immediately in that shock
"What is wrong with you? You scared the hell out of me…"
"Where have you been?" He cuts me off ignoring what I just said. I sighed as I waved my hair backwards
"Where else would I go to, I went to work of course."
"Hm… Why come back by this time?" He stood there with his hands in his pocket, asking me f**ked up questions like he cares. I sat down on the star case frustrated but tried saying calmly,
"I always come back from work by this time."
"Why didn't you let a chauffeur drive you there and back home."
"I prefer having a ride with my friends." All this questions is really beginning to annoy me
"Who dropped you here?"
"My f**king friend! And what do you care? You left here yesterday without telling me where your off to, I can't remember myself asking you all this damn questions. I went to work, we usually get dismissed late, and I had a nice lovely drive with my friends. There you go, I answered all your questions." I got up and was about to take a step up,
"Come back here" His bass, intimidating voice echoes in the building. I had no other choice but to listen what he has to say, so I turned and walked down the stair and stood there
"I said come here!!" His voice came again this time louder
"Okay okay, I'm coming so please stop yelling." I said as I walked up to him then stopped, giving distance.
"I despise the idea of you going to work."
"…" He didn't let me talk at all
"But if you insist, a chauffeur will drive you there and back home and I demand you to end whatever that is between you and that guy. Do you understand?" I didn't hear right, did I?
"There is no f**king way that is happening. I should just end a lifetime friendship all because of you? For what reason exactly?" This guy is seriously getting on my nerves
"I will not have any guy touch my wife with the claim that their just friends."
"Touch? Brad never touched me."
"You think I didn't see. I have given you a choice, it's left for you to decide." True, this is annoying but at the same time it is funny as hell that I burst out of laughter and just as it started I stopped laughing
"Who do you think you are, huh. Who the hell do you think you are to tell me what to do in such aspect. I get to decide where I want to go to and how I get there, who I want to hang out with and you won't do a f**king thing about it." I said and with that said I turned to climb the stairs
"Don't walk out on me, Genesis!" He yelled but I didn't even look back. I would take anything from him but not anything involving my friends.
I banged the door behind me in anger. Walking straight to the dressing room, I dropped my bag on the bag shelf then threw myself on the seat there.
'What is even wrong with this guy? He should be supporting me as his wife cause I'm working for our future. True, he might be rich but that doesn't mean I can't work or we can't get broke in the future.' I sighed as I got up and stood in front of the massive mirror
'Don't let him get to you, Geny. Remember…all you have to do is beat him in his own game, so be nice.' I smiled to the beautiful figure starring at me.
I took off my work cloth and changed to one of all the uncomfortable night gowns that freak got me. Then I climb on my own side of the bed, covering my body with the bedsheets I closed my eyes and dozed off.
Waking up on my usual scheduled time, I sat up and reluctantly turned and there he laid so peaceful at the other edge of the bed. He laid with his legs crossed and faced up with his both palm behind his head, causing his muscles to pop out. His chest and packs finding it's way to be slightly visible beneath his white shirt. With his hands behind his head, his shirt is unable to cover him as his brief haired abdomen was on sight. I immediately draft my eyes to something else, his…my spoilt, corrupt mind didn't let the sight fade without thinking how big it will probably be, as it felt big when he pressed it against my ass. Those brows that keeps his face plain and strict, those intimidating eyes that are close now and covered by his thick long lashes, that divined pointed nose of his and most especially those red lips of his that unwillingly deflowered my poor lips but yet felt so good…
'Genesis Edwardo!!! What in the pure goodness are you doing, sitting here like a fool admiring this arrogant man, that has no atom of conscience. The man that asked you to break ties with your best friends. Foolishly get up from there and prepare for work, and stop acting like a fool, your to act nice not like a fool. I snapped, causing myself. Without hesitation, I got up and quietly entered the bathroom. I had a quick shower, dried myself with the towel before I stepped out of the bathroom with the short towel tied around my chest. I stopped as his eyes flew open immediately I closed the bathroom door and our eyes met, he didn't even move a muscle and his face showed no effect to the moment that felt awkward for me. I immediately lowered my head as I rushed into the dressing room and locked it behind me, I can't take any chances.
I put on a white turtleneck top with a black suite like jacket and it's matching short flay skirt. For the footwear I wore a causal black hill, than packed my hair up in a ponytail giving a professional banker vibe which makes me to love how I look in the mirror. I gave myself a final touch by applying all the perfume my hand touched, then I unlocked the door and came out of the dressing room but he wasn't in the bedroom any longer. I went downstairs ready to go before I heard his voice,
"Have breakfast with me before you leave" His words were caring but the tune in which he said them were commanding like his giving me no other choice. Which is one thing I hate, being forced to do something without my choice being viewed.
'Be nice' I said to myself
"Sure." I replied, forcing a smile. I followed him to the dinning area and we sat down before the breakfast was served. It was a hot cup of coffee each with three fresh made pastries, unfortunately I don't take coffee especially not early in the morning. Sadly enough, I also find it hard to make another demand from the chief chef as she was an aged woman, grown enough to probably be my grand mother. She stood few steps away inspecting her subordinate serve the food, when they were done and she was about to leave
"gracias por la desayuno abuela" I thanked her for the food, she turned with her face showing plain that she's surprised
"mi placer" she replied with a pure smile on her wrinkled face
"I'm sorry to be too picky but can I get a cup of tea instead please"
"Right away" she said as she left the room. All this while he just sat there quiet, sipping his coffee and pressing his phone, not like I expect him to say anything though. It didn't take her more than a minute to walk in with my cup of tea on her hand,
"You didn't have to bring it yourself abuela…"
"Mrs. Alberto" She said
"And it's no trouble, Mrs. Logan" I wanted to cut her off that she's old for the stress but she beat me to it as she addressed me by his name, I wasn't the only one who seem to be affected by that.
"Go ahead Mrs. Alberto." He finally broke his silence, I was satisfied as his been acting like he wasn't affected with my presence as all his concentration seem to be on his phone. The sweet aged woman took the cup of coffee and gently replaced it with the cup of tea as she said before leaving,
"Here you go, as you may like it Mrs. Logan" He almost choked on his coffee, which also almost got me laughing but luckily for me I was quick to get a hold of myself.
We ate quietly, but I couldn't ignore the guilt I have for walking out on him last night. So I decided to summon all the courage in me, setting my pride aside I began by clearing my throat after I had swallowed my last bite of the pastry
"I'm sorry for last night." I went straight to the point
"I shouldn't have walked out on you, that was very disrespectful of me." I finished, I don't know what I was waiting to hear from him but what I got is…
"Okay" He said without looking at me, not even a glance
"Okay?" I repeated
"If you really are then do as I have asked you to" I can't get angry not after I've apologized. Don't say anything out of anger Genesis, be calm. I sighed before I reply
"I am… sorry but what you ask of me is that which I can't grant, I can't do it Zachary" He finally dropped his phone as he looked at me straight in the eye
"There is nothing I demand that is too big to grant" What those he even feel like, a god?
"Well this is, and I can't do it"
"You will. Or I will make you" it was a plain command, or should I say threat…
"Are you kidding me right now? I make an effort to straighten up things with us and your being a f**king…" I held back so I won't say something bad. He didn't even care how I reacted to his annoying response. I have to leave his presence before I say something that would worsen this issue
"I've lost my appetite" I said as I got up picking up my bag I left the dinning room and out of the house. He didn't say anything to stop me, guess he doesn't care and infact I don't either, if he doesn't want us to get along then so be it. I don't give a sh*t about him and I never did, I'm only here because I was forced to nothing else, there is absolutely no feelings attached so I don't mind if this is what he wants. At least I made an effort to get things right but I won't do that again.
"He seriously said that to you?" Helena asked as she placed her well made tea on the table I relaxed on with my palm on my chin. We were already done in the office and had immediately gone straight to Helena's cafeteria,
"Every bit of it" I said with a sigh of frustration.
"He can't be expecting you to do that so…easily as he has asked you to" Brian said with disgust
"That's exactly what he expects. By the way he is The multi billionaire, owner of the top three most developed, richest tech companies, Zachary Logan. What more would he expect from someone like me than to be his puppet…"
"Wait…What?" Helena froze
"You heard it right. That's why we found him familiar"
"You didn't know that before you got married to him?" Brian asked me the question I've actually been asking myself since that scene in that hotel. How didn't I recognize him? But…to be fair I can't blame myself, first of all I wasn't given the opportunity to process this marriage of a thing we're in, and more over I don't involve myself with famous people or even bother caring about anything related to them.
"I didn't." I simply replied before I took another sip of the tea
"He should be able to reason with you, right?" Brian asked. He doesn't seem to understand how arrogant that husband of mine is,
"You think I haven't tried getting him to reason with me? I mean…I told you everything didn't I, does he sound like someone who wants to be reasoned with. I don't care anymore, if he wants to understand that what his asking for is basically impossible for me to do, he should. If not, it's his business cause I don't care about his opinion." I said causing Brian to fall silent.
He dropped me infront of the gate like yesterday and drove off. I rang the gate bell and the gate was opened by one of the armed men as usual and I embarked on the journey to his mansion. Entering the sitting room, I saw him sitting on the couch and facing the stairs, so our eyes met and I froze ready to give him the total peace of my mind if he dared to annoy me. But he didn't say a word to me instead he takes the glass of wine on the side table and took a sip of it diverting his gaze somewhere else. With that, I climbed the grand stairs ignoring him too,
'He didn't complain to me today, should I be happy or should I be worried…' I said to myself as I closed the bedroom door behind me and sat on my side of the bed
'Tch. Why should I care whatever he wants to do with himself is up to him' I convinced myself before I entered inside the dressing room.
