Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: A New Companion

Fedyenka kept staring at him like that. When Phantom was about to speak, the counselor spoke from the commentary room.

"What are you two still doing? Done fighting yet? No chitchat allowed when it's time to practice. Ugh, seriously...these overpowered youngsters. SHOW ME SOME RESPECT!"

Saying that, he left. Fedyenka and Phantom could see him since it was made of glass. He came back again and yelled, "WHERE IS YURI?"

Phantom yelled, "HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?!?"

"Dude, your voice is too loud." said Fedyenka being annoyed by their loud-speaker conversation.

Phantom replied, "How the hell would that old fart hear then?"

A woman came and gave Fedyenka a jacket and left. Fedyenka wore it.

"Where are we supposed to go now, bro-" Fedyenka couldn't finish her words. Phantom interrupted and said,

"Don't even dare to call me that."

"Then what am I supposed to call you?"

"Call me by my name. Don't you have common sense? Anyway, we have to head to where Yuri is. I'll call him."

Phantom called him with his headset.

"Where the heck are you? You left me with this brat. What am I supposed to do?"

Fedyenka felt really unwelcomed from the very beginning. She kept herself quiet and pondered about the message. Suddenly, something crossed her mind.

"What if...it means that the 'everything' is a secret. People here has always been ignoring my questions. Maybe this is it. I still have to think more about it. If I jump into a conclusion now, things might take a weird turn. I have to figure everything out. Slowly."

"What are you thinking about?" said Phantom.

"Nothing...Nothing much."

"I just called him. He said he's at the Hibernation Wing."

"What's that?"

"Well it's always south wing, north wing but this place is different. Each wing has it's unique name. The Hibernation Wing is where all the researches and trainings about 'hibernating' is held."

"Hibernating?"

"You'll know when you know. You're gonna go there one day too."

"Judging by the name it-"

"Shut up and follow me."

Fedyenka couldn't say another word. She followed him. It was a long way even though they had elevators and escalators.

"Can I ask you something?" said Fedyenka.

"Don't ask me any pointless thing. Go ahead." said Phantom.

"What's the job of the woman who gave me the jacket?"

"She's called a guapa. She is a kind of a robot used as maids."

"Oh..."

After a long walk, they entered a big room. The room was filled with big cans which had different beings in each of it.

"What are those?" asked Fedyenka.

"Those are like you. They are made in the lab just like you. Some of them are gonna be researchers while some of them are gonna be fighters." said Yuri.

"What about both?" asked Fedyenka.

"They are rare, like me. I doubt that any of these will be both. These are some average...beings. By the way, the ones who are both like me are called sages."

"Sages? That's quiet a name. Is Phantom just a fighter?"

"No he is both like me. But since he is too stubborn-head, he is the lowest ranking one."

"Can you shut up?" said Phantom.

"Well yes I was going to but you ruined my mood and now I'm gonna talk a bit more. Alright Fed, come with me. We'll adjust your eyes a little. After blowing off, your eyes got misplaced." said Yuri.

"Huh? My eyes are misplaced after the explosion? But didn't it regenerate?"

"It did, but it seems...well I can't jump into conclusions. Let's just fix your eyes for now. Phany, you go to Hibernation Wing now."

"Stop calling me that." said Phantom. After he said it, Yuri slapped him by the back of his hand and told him, "I'm you senior. Now go teach the newbies some lessons."

"Is he going to-" before Fedyenka could finish her words, Yuri slapped on her mouth the same way he did to Phantom.

"You talk annoyingly too much. Sit here."

"Okay..."

She sat there and at the moment, somethings locked her up with the chair. She got startled.

"Don't get startled. I'm simply going to place your eyes in the right position. It's going to hurt a little so I locked you with the chair." said Yuri.

"I can't even move an inch." said Fedyenka.

"Well it's because I locked it, the cuffs." saying that, Yuri started operating. Fedyenka felt pain but she couldn't scream because of Propofol.

"Here it's done." said Yuri. He injected her with some sort of medicine. She could move again. She faced to the basin on the right and vomited some water.

"There, the Propofol is out now. I won't let you do any self-destructive thing now."

"You guys made me do some 'self-destructive' things already." said Fedyenka.

"Yes. It was necessary."

Then he told her to slowly follow him to her room.

"I have a room of my own?" said Fedyenka.

"Yes. But I will enter it anytime so be alert." said Yuri.

"No privacy?"

"No privacy."

"That sucks like hell. I'm already in hell."

"Hell is even worse. You won't get a room to sleep there if you ever go there."

"I...can't remember how hell is like."

"Why? You've ever been at it? Ha HA HA."

"No, I guess."

"It isn't possible so don't stress out too much. Or I rather say, it is but not quiet."

She stayed at her room. Yuri left the room, then he came back again and opened the door.

"You are gonna have a roommate though. You and your brother are gonna work together so you guys gotta be close." said Yuri.

"He'll-" Yuri slammed the door.

"...kick me out..." said Fedyenka to finish her sentence. She explored her room a little. The room felt like another world to her. The whole area she just saw was filled with scientific instruments, researchers, robots. Most of the things were white, black or blue. Her room had a little companion who was sleeping at the moment. She touched it and it woke up.

"Beeeeeeeee...(>.<) (0-0) (>.<) (0-0)"

"Bee?"

The cat eared companion was having different expressions on it's face. She kept making the "Bee" sounds.

"What are you?" said Fedyenka.

"Bee bee? (0-0)? Beee! (-o-)"

The robot kept making the same sound and making different expressions. Then some words appeared on it's screen, "I am your companion. Here is a letter my creator left."

The robot handed her a letter which came out of it's belly like how a CD comes out of pits. The letter said,

"I thought a cute girly thing would be suitable for you.

-Yuri"

"So he's the one who made it." said Fedyenka.

"Let's give you a name." said Fedyenka.

"Bee?"

"Bee?...Bee...Bea! Your name is Bea!"

"Bee! (^-^)"

Fedyenka was really happy with her companion. She asked her about the things she can do.

"Bee? (0-0)?"

"Uhm...can you make tea?" said Fedyenka.

The robot brewed her some tea.

"Wow, you are awesome Bea! Can you kill?"

"(^>^) (O-O') (0-0)..."

The being seemed to be confused to show her any result of that.

"Eh...um...can you shoot outside the window? Somewhere a bit empty so, no one will get hurt?"

"(^o^)" The robot seemed pleased. Bea shot a large ray compared to her size, on a tree. The tree got torn into half. Suddenly, they could hear some sirens ringing. A lot of machines got activated in her room. So did the counselor's temper.

The counselor yelled, "WHO DID THIS?"

"Sorry. I told Bea to do it."

"Bea? Who is Bea? Did Yuri make you this thing? Ugh, he's like an old grandma who would make anything for her granddaughter. CALL HIM!!!"

"M-Me?" said the man who came with him.

"YES, YOU."

The man called Yuri. He kept calling him several times. No one answered.

"Sir, he isn't responding."

"What?"

"Bea can you locate your creator?" said Fedyenka.

"(-^-)" Bea looked sad.

"So, you can't..."
