She returned home accompanied with Nora. She offered her some refreshments and went to her room. She entered the room and started pacing. She thought about what Eliot said, 'If not this time, there may not be another . . ..!' 'Is Johnathan leaving!' she assumed. 'Could it be?' uttered Rosalie. She sat down in the corner of her room and tied her hand around her knees. She was not aware of what she was feeling. Nora also joined her in her room and sat down near her noticing her condition. 'What is the matter?' said Nora. Rosalie became aware of her presence and tried to feign a composed posture. 'Rosalie, Daring I know you for years! So, just stop it and start telling me what the matter is?' said Nora. She leaned on her shoulder and didn't speak a work. Nora felt bad for her as Eliot told Nora about how Rosalie felt about Johnathan but they both knew she was too good to know what was good for her. 'She is resisting, and he will leave in a month! We do not have much time and he appear to have lost any hope!' pondered Nora. 'I seriously hate to break it to you! We would not be able to complete our work in time if you will not tell me what the matter is? How will you be able to work!' Nora took her by the shoulder, and she was still weeping. I know what it is but we want you to work this out. We know you do not like anyone to overshadow your thoughts and desire through their dictation but here the only person who can help you is you!' said Nora. Nora asked her to come down so that they can continue with baking. As she paced to the door Rosalie uttered in a loud voice 'Thank you, Nora! I will be there in a minute!' Nora moved her head in affirmation and descended down the stairs in the foyer. Where she met the maid and Miss Anne. Rosalie said to herself, 'I do not know whether I love you or not, but it is hard to decide, and I have not decided on it all these years!' She changed her dress and joined Nora down stair where her mother and the maid had prepared good dinner for them. She asked Nora to change her dress in some casual one and so she did. All the ladies woke early in the morning and baked the batter for the cupcakes that they prepared that night. She felt her heart ache and soaring while they renewed it a bit. She was working with the rest with her life force. She felt being brunt and consumed as they placed them in trays to be baked in the oven. But she was ready to suffer for the sake of her welfare! But was it her that she was troubled about or something else? She could not fool her friends and she was quite mindful of it. She could not decide it alone, but she required that time alone very much as well. A contradiction that felt the heaviest at the moment. She decorated the cupcakes at home with all the beautiful frosting and props like candies and nuts then stored them in the truck that was rented to them for her mother's journey. Anne was ready to leave and just had to visit the town to collect the last of the donations for the charity from the people who volunteered. Anne drove the truck and Rosalie went along with her. She was alone this time Nora stayed at the house and she enjoyed the hospitalities of their house along with Rosalie's book collection that she enjoyed looked at and scanning through. She like her pair of book racks in the foyer that gave the foyer a look of a library area. It just captivated her to pick a book from the rack and read it near the fireplace on the couch. She was under the spell of the area and lost track of time while reading world geography although she had no actual interest in it.
Meanwhile Rosalie promptly hopped off the car as she could rush her desired place her mother uttered her name, 'Rosalie, darling listen! Before you leave just assistance me out by asking these addresses about the donations and collecting them as well! Oh, and Eliot is right there in the town's solicitor's office Mr. Scott! Ask him for the favor and he may spare him for a bit to assist you!' said Anne-Marie. Her anxious disposition suddenly turned into a cheerful one. She rushed even more briskly than before and reached the office door. Everybody there glanced as she took a sudden stop at the door. 'Are you alright, miss? You seem to be in a hurry?' said Emanuel. Emanuel was a middle-aged man and an assistant to Johnathan Scot's. He knew all about his engagements and arranged them well too. 'Is Eliot in there, sir?' said Rosalie. Emanuel replied 'Yes, ma'am but they seem to be discussing some serious business!' 'Could you please put forth my request to see them?' whispered Rosalie. Emanuel whispered back 'Ma'am, I would be delighted to, but I do not find him in the right mood to respond to it in a delightful manner! He might not let Mr. Eliot leave!' Eliot walked out of Johnathan's office and saw Rosalie. 'What are you doing here?' said Eliot. 'Oh, I am here for you! Mom told me that I will find you here!' replied Rosalie. Rosalie took Eliot by the arm and said, 'I presume you are free, then let's leave together!' Eliot removed her arm gently and said, 'No, I am not there is a case file I have to work on you have to help yourself this time!' Rosalie looked at him and asked, 'How long will it take?' 'A whole day may be!' replied Eliot. 'If you have a minute, then come inside! I am confident, I know who could assist you, right now!' added Eliot. 'You certainly know! But I think I . . ..' as she uttered, Eliot grabbed her arm and forced her inside but as she was too smart, she composed herself expect to see what he meant by that. Eliot provided her with the right opportunity to find out what she felt. Her heart was throbbing, and she could hear it. Her faced blushed red as Johnathan glanced at her. He felt concerned and abruptly called for Emanuel to fetch some water for the lady. Eliot settled her down and continued, 'Sir, I presumed that I could take the file from here!' 'Are you sure you would not have any trouble?' asked Jonathan. 'I am positive and if I require some help, I will reach out to Mr. Emanuel!' replied Eliot. 'Alright, but why are you telling me that! 'As you said earlier you have no engagements for the day today, so I thought that Miss. Rosalie would be delighted to have your company as she needs assistance just like the other day with the donation!' suggested Eliot. 'I . . .. I do not know! If it is alright with you and of course, with Miss. Crimson then I could certainly assist her?' replied Jonathan. Eliot pushed her shoe with a slight touch of his shoe. Emanuel entered the room and offered her water. She guzzled uneasily and placed the glass on the table. It felt like it stuck in her through and replied 'Yes, that would be great!' Would you favour me this time?' said Rosalie. Rosalie left the office with Johnathan to assist her with the donation that they had to put in the truck was parked in the town square.
Jonathan walked beside her, and they visited many addressed within a span of two hours and collected what bags they offered as donation for the charity. Jonathan took the heavy ones from Rosalie, and they reached the truck in the town square. They placed all the bags holding different items from clothes to shoes and to toys in the big bags. Anne came walking to them and she looked at Jonathan with surprise. 'I am so grateful for this favor today. Has my daughter by any chance pushed you for this favor' asked Mrs. Crimson. Jonathan laughed a little and then replied 'No, at all MA, am! I joined her and it was a suggestion by a dear friend Eliot who allowed me to have this honor to be of little service to you!' Anne looked at him with admiration and said 'OH, what a sweet and kind gentle man you are! I will take your leave now! And I will ask you of a little favor as you are Eliot's friend, do look for my daughter she is a little out of sorts when I am not here!' Rosalie heard what her mother said and said 'Mom, that is not true! I have my classes to attend to so I will be extremely busy!'.
